theendofitsusefullifetime,taketheentireunittoabatteryrecyclingfacility.

• Thisunithasabuilt-inleadacidbattery.Althoughthisunitarrivespartiallychargedfromthefactory,
itMUSTbefullychargedbeforetherstuse.
• Rechargetheunitaftereachuseorevery3monthstopreventthebatteryvoltagefromdepleting.
ADJUSTABLE HEAD
To adjust headangle, gently pullup on rimat bottom. Angle can beadjusted to 4differentpositions
indicatedbya “click” sound. Donotforcehead beyond nalpoint.Returnhead to closedpositionfor
storagetopreventdamagetomechanism.
SPOTLIGHT
To operatethe spotlight pressthe switchon handle ofyour PowerBeamto either the“High” or“Low”
position.
Theoperationtimeisuptoapproximately35minutes.
Presstheswitchto“O”toturnoffthespotlight.
LED AREA LIGHT
YourPowerBeamisequippedwithbrightLEDlightslocatedin
therim.Theseprovideanarealightforworkingandgeneralillumination.Tooperate,presstheswitch
locatedonthebackoftheunittothe“LEDAreaLight”position.
Thearealightwilloperatecontinuouslyformanyhoursonafullcharge.Presstheswitchtothemiddle
positiontoturnofftheLEDlights.
RED LED EMERGENCY FLASHER
Your Power Beam is also equipped with RED LED emergency ashers. To operate, press the switch
locatedonthebackoftheunittothe“REDLEDEMERGENCYFLASHER”position.
USB POWER PORTS:
Your Power Beam is equipped with THREE 5 volt 2100mAh USB ports for powering or charging
variousdevicesincludingmobilephones,MP3players,tablets,e-Readers,notebookcomputersandother
equipmentwithUSBcapability.Tooperate,connecttheUSBcablethatwassuppliedwiththedeviceyou
wanttochargetooneoftheUSBports.Pressthebuttonlabeled“USB”oncetoturnon,pressagainto
turnoffwhennished.

VEHICLE JUMP START INSTRUCTIONS:
WARNINGS:
Reviewyourvehicleowner’smanualinstructionsbeforeattemptingtojumpstartyourvehicle.Failureto
followtheseadvisoryinstructionsmayresultinpersonalinjuryandpropertydamage.Usesafetyglasses
toprotectyoureyeswhileworkingnearabatteryduringvehiclejump-starting.Jumpstartavehicle
inanopenareawithoutanytypeofobstructions.
1. Turnoffthevehicleignitionandallaccessories(Suchasradios,lights,andairconditioners,etc).
2. Applytheemergencybrakeandputthosevehicleswithautomatictransmissioninparkposition.
3. Determinethepolarityofthevehiclebatteryterminals.Thepositive(+)batteryterminalnormallyis
largerindiameterthanthenegative(-)terminal.Ifyouareunsure,youmustrefertothevehicle
owner’smanual.
1. Determine whether your vehicle is equipped with a negative or positive grounded system: Most
vehiclesusethistypeofsystem.PositiveGroundedbatteryterminalisgroundedtochassisoranyother
partofthevehicle.Ifyouarenotcertainofthisimportantinformation,YOU SHOULD REFER TOYOUR
VEHICLE OWNER’S MANUAL.
2. Remove clamps from the holders. Never allow clamps (positive & negative terminals) to touch
togetherorcontactthesamepieceofmetaltopreventshort-circuits.
3. Followtheinstructionsforanegativegroundedsystemorpositivegroundedsystemasindicated
below:
Negative Grounded System
Connect the RED CLAMP (positive +) to the positive terminal of the vehicle battery or the remote
positiveterminalifavailable.
ConnecttheBLACKCLAMP(negative-)tothevehicleengineblock,orametalpartofthevehiclewhich
isconnectedtothevehiclemaingroundsystem.Donotclampdirectlytonegativebatteryterminal,main
fueldistributionmoduleorsheetmetalparts.
ThePolarityProtectionSystemGREENLEDisilluminatediftheproperconnectionshavebeenmade.
WARNING: If RED LED is illuminated, DISCONNECT the booster clamps from battery terminals.
Reconnecttheboosterclampsbyreversingtheconnectionstotheproperbatterypolarity.

Positive Grounded System:
ConnecttheBLACKCLAMP(negative-)tothenegativeterminalofthevehiclebattery.
ConnecttheREDCLAMP(positive+)tothevehicleengineblock,orametalpartofthevehiclewhich
isconnectedtothevehiclegroundsystem.Donotclampdirectlytopositivebatteryterminal,mainfuel
distributionmoduleorsheetmetalparts.
ThePolarityProtectionSystemGREENLEDisilluminatediftheproperconnectionshavebeenmade.
WARNING: If RED LED is illuminated, STOP and disconnect the booster clamps from battery
terminals. Reconnect the booster clamps by reversing the connections to the proper battery
polarity.
1. TurnontheMainPowerBoosterClampsSwitchbyrotatingtheswitchtotheONposition.
2. Allow3to5minutesofchargetime.Itishighlyrecommendedhavingasecondpersontoassist
holdingtheunitsecurelyinplaceduringthenextsteps.
3. StarttheengineandStopifthevehicledoesnotstartafter2to3secondsofenginecranking.Wait
2to3minutesthentryagain.Repeattheabovestepsseveraltimesuntilthevehiclestarts.
4. Ifthevehiclestarts,turnofftheMainPowerSwitchbyturningtheswitchtotheOFFposition.
5. Disconnecttheclampsasfarawayfromthevehiclebatteryaspossible.
6. ForNegativeGroundedSystem,disconnecttheBLACKCLAMPNegativerstandthentheRED
CLAMPPositive.ForPositiveGroundedSystem,disconnecttheREDCLAMPPositiverst,and
thentheBLACKCLAMPNegative.
7. Stowtheboosterclampsintotheirstoragecompartment.
CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS:

partiallychargedfromthefactory.Itishighlyrecommendedtofullychargetheunitafterpurchaseand
beforeinitialuse:
• MakecertainthatthePowerSwitchissettotheoffposition.
• Do not charge near ammable material, open ames or any location which may accumulate
ammablefumes.
• Makecertainthatanyelectricaloutletusedtochargethisdevicethatislocatedinapotentiallywet
ormoistareaisprotectedbyaGroundFaultCircuitInterrupter(GFCI).
• Makesurethatbothboosterclampsaresecurelyplacedintheirdesignatedstoragecompartments
whennotinuseandduringthechargingperiod.

A. AC Charging At Home with 110 Volt Charger
1. KeepthePowerSwitchinmiddle“O”offpositionwhilecharging.
2. Insert the AC charger round plug into the Spotlight Charging Port located at the back of the
spotlight.
3. Connectthe110VoltACChargerintothe110VoltAChomereceptacle.
4. Fullychargethespotlightaccordingtothefollowingchargingschedule:
Firsttimecharge:.....................................................24hours
Rechargeandsubsequentcharge:.......................18hours
5. Unplug the AC charger from the 110 Volt receptacle rst and then remove theround plug
fromtheSpotlightChargingPort.
B. DC Charging In Your Vehicle with 12 Volt Charger
1. KeepthePowerSwitchinmiddle“O”offpositionwhilecharging.
2. Insertthe12VoltDCChargerroundPlugintotheSpotlight
3. ChargingPortlocatedatthebackofthespotlight.
4. Connectthe12VoltDCChargerPlugintothevehiclecigarettelighteror12Voltaccessoryport.
5. FullychargetheSpotlightinternalbatteryfor8hourswhilethevehicleengineisrunning.
6. UnplugtheDCchargerfromthevehiclecigarettelighteror12Voltaccessoryportrstandthenremovethe
roundplugfromtheSpotlightChargingPort.
12 VOLT DC CHARGER ADAPTOR FUSE REPLACEMENT:
1. Unscrewtheretainerringatthetipofthe12VoltDCchargerplug.
2. Replacetheinternalglassfusewiththesamegradefuseratedat2-AMP.
