1. Panel Preparation
1a. Remove cable management tray from panel.
1b. For each cable, sl de rear hous ng on cable

2.Cable Preparation
2a. U/FTP
1) Str p the cable a m n mum of 40mm.(F g. 1)
2) Remove fo l from three pa rs and untw st pa rs. (F g. 2)
3)Use cl ppers to cut-off fo l. (F g. 3)
4) Pull the fo l sh eld back from the forth pa r over the jacket. Ensure the cable fo l’s conduct ve surface s
fac ng out. Wrap the dra n w re around the fo l sh eld. (F g. 4)

1) Str p the cable a m n mum of 40mm. (F g. 1)
2) Untw st pa rs and remove cable separator w th w re cl ppers. (F g. 2)
3) Pull the fo l sh eld back over the jacket. Ensure the cable fo l’s conduct ve surface s fac ng out.Wrap
thedra n w re around the fo l sh eld. (F g. 3)

6b. Press cables neatly on cable
management tray and secure w th cable

6c. Ind v dually earth each panel to cab net
earth pos t on.
7. Attach MIIM I/O cable to I/O port
Secure to cable management tray f des red.

8. RemovalInstructions
To remove rear hous ng, open clamp and
pull up on latch on top of the hous ng.
Note: Use flat screwdr ver to
L ft latch of hous ng.

9. Adding MIIM panels to the MIIM S stem
Connect a patch cord between the RJ45 port
on the back of the panel to a port on a MIIM
scanner.
Refer to the scanner and panel f rmware
update sect on n the MIIM Installat on Gu de
to nsure the panel f rmware and scanner
appl cat on are matched correctly.
Access the scanner to conf rm scanner
appl cat on and panel f rmware vers ons.
If necessary, perform a panel f rmware
update on the panel.
