CAUTION: The watch is not designed to be worn during watersport activities or
designed to be submerged in water as this can damage the watch. Special care
should be taken not to press any pushbuttons should the unit get wet by accident as this can force
moisture past the pushbutton-seals and signicantly damage the unit.
NOTE: A built-in rechargeable battery provides approximately 3-5 hours of constant heart rate
measurment, or approximately 3 months in regular time mode. A USB charger is included.

DISPLAY & BUTTONS
The Heartware has four buttons: “LIGHT”, “UP”, “DOWN” and
“MODE”. “LIGHT” provides a backlight, while “MODE” allows you
to choose between different features on the watch.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
For the quickest charge, connect your watch to a USB port on your computer (not
an external keyboard) using the USB charger cable that came with the watch. Your
computer must be on. Depending on the computer, your device may charge quicker
if you remove all USB devices except the keyboard and mouse. If you’re using a
portable computer, make sure it’s plugged in to power and that the display (or lid)
is open.

To recharge the battery, connect the 2-pin end of the USB charger cable (included) to
the contacts on the back of the watch and connect to the power source. The battery
indicator is located at the top centre position on the display and will show a battery
charging status if the USB charging cable is properly attached to a power source.
The battery indicator will ash as follows:
Once the battery has reached a full charge, the battery icon will no longer ash and
will show the full battery icon as follows:

The battery icon will not appear on the screen once the USB charger cable
is no longer attached to the watch, until the battery is running low, in which
case the following icon will appear:

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING BATTERY AND THE HEART RATE MODE:
Please note that the watch cannot be put in to Heart Rate mode if the
battery is low and the low battery icon (shown below) is shown on the
screen.

SWITCHING BETWEEN FUNCTIONS
Pressing “MODE” will allow you cycle through the features of the
watch. Pressing “UP” will change the temperature reading from
Celsius to Farenheit.

To set the time, hold “MODE” for 3 seconds. Once in TIME SET
mode, press “MODE” to cycle through seconds, minutes, hours,
year, date, and day. The selection will ash, and can be adjusted
with the “UP” and “DOWN” buttons

After using “MODE” to get to the stopwatch, press “DOWN” to
start the stopwatch and “UP” to pause it. While running, press
“DOWN” again to start a new lap. While paused, hold “DOWN”
for three seconds to reset the Stopwatch entirely.
USING THE STOPWATCH

To access lap times, hold “MODE” for 3 seconds while paused.
Press “UP” to cycle through laps. Press “MODE” while cycling
through laps to exit.
