Chassis Speaker Set
for Car HiFi Systems
Please read these operating instructions carefully prior to
operation and keep them for later use.
1 Applications
This high-quality speaker set is especially designed for
the use in car HiFi systems and consists of:
2 × bass-midrange speaker ∅165 mm
2 × tweeter, can be tilted inside its cabinet
2 × 2-way crossover network
The following power capabilities of the components per
channel must not be exceeded:
130 WMAX, 65 WRMS
2 Safety Notes
The crossover networks and the speakers correspond to
all required directives of the EU and are therefore marked
with the sign.
GThe components are suitable for indoor use only. Pro-
tect them against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).
GFor cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.
GThe components must be mounted in a firm and com-
petent way at a mechanically stable place in the car so
that they do not work loose and turn into dangerous pro-
jectiles.
GNo guarantee claims for the components and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the components are used for other
purposes than originally intended, if they are not cor-
rectly connected, overloaded, or not repaired in an
expert way.
3 Setting into Operation
3.1 Mounting the crossover network
1) Press in the upper shell of the housing in the centre on
one side in a powerful way [see arrow (a) or (b) in the
figure below] so that one of the two latches will unlock.
Then it is possible to remove the upper shell.
2) Now the two fixing holes inside are accessible. Screw
down the crossover network at a suitable place.
3) Do not reposition the upper shell of the housing until
the level for the high frequencies has been matched
(see chapter 3.3).
3.2 Connection
The connection of the speaker set for one channel is
shown below. The connection for the second channel is
identical. Always connect the coded core of the connec-
tion cables to the corresponding positive pole so that all
speakers have the same polarity for the time being.
1) Connect the output of the power amplifier to the con-
nections INPUT of the crossover network.
2) Connect the bass-midrange speaker to the terminals
WOOFER.
3) Connect the tweeter to the connections TWEETER.
3.3 Making the adjustments
1) The jumper on the PCB of the crossover network
serves for level matching the high frequencies. (To
open the housing, see chapter 3.1.) In position
- 3dB
or
- 6 dB the high frequencies are attenuated accord-
ingly. Close the housing of the crossover network.
2) The polarity of the tweeters may be reversed by
exchanging the positive connections and the negative
connections TWEETER at the crossover network. This
may result in a better sound for some car HiFi systems.
For most systems the reproduction is optimum when both
stereo channels are adjusted in the same way.

1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Dieses hochwertige Lautsprecherset ist speziell für den
Einsatz in Car-HiFi-Anlagen konzipiert und besteht aus:
2 × Tiefmitteltöner ∅165 mm
2 × Hochtöner, lässt sich innerhalb seines Gehäuses
kippen
2 × 2-Wege-Frequenzweiche
Die folgende Belastbarkeit der Komponenten darf pro
Kanal nicht überschritten werden:
130 WMAX, 65 WRMS
2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Die Frequenzweichen und die Lautsprecher entsprechen
allen erforderlichen Richtlinien der EU und sind deshalb
mit gekennzeichnet.
GVerwenden Sie die Komponenten nur im Innenbereich.
Schützen Sie sie vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser, hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztempera-
turbereich 0 – 40 °C).
GVerwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Chemikalien oder Wasser.
GDie Komponenten müssen fest und fachgerecht an einer
mechanisch stabilen Stelle im Fahrzeug montiert wer-
den, damit sie sich nicht lösen und zu gefährlichen Ge-
schossen werden.
GWerden die Komponenten zweckentfremdet, falsch
angeschlossen, überlastet oder nicht fachgerecht repa-
riert, kann für sie keine Garantie und keine Haftung für
daraus resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden
übernommen werden.
3 Inbetriebnahme
3.1 Montage der Frequenzweiche
1) Die Gehäuseoberschale in der Mitte auf einer Seite
kräftig hineindrücken [siehe Pfeil (a) oder (b) in der Ab-
bildung unten], damit eine der beiden Haltenasen aus-
rastet. Danach lässt sich die Oberschale abnehmen.
2) Jetzt sind die beiden Befestungslöcher im Inneren
zugängig. Die Frequenzweiche an geeigneter Stelle
festschrauben.
3) Die Gehäuseoberschale erst wieder aufsetzen, wenn
die Pegelanpassung für die Höhen vorgenommen
wurde (siehe Kapitel 3.3).
3.2 Anschluss
Der Anschluss des Lautsprechersets für einen Kanal ist
unten dargestellt. Der Anschluss für den zweiten Kanal ist
identisch. Die gekennzeichnete Ader der Verbindungs-
kabel immer am entsprechenden Pluspol anklemmen,
damit alle Lautsprecher erst einmal gleich gepolt sind.
1) Den Endstufenausgang mit den Anschlüssen INPUT
der Frequenzweiche verbinden.
2) Den Tiefmitteltöner mit den Anschlüssen WOOFER
verbinden.
3) Den Hochtöner mit den Anschlüssen TWEETER ver-
binden.
3.3 Einstellungen vornehmen
1) Zur Pegelanpassung der Höhen dient die Steckbrücke
auf der Leiterplatte der Frequenzweiche. (Zum Öffnen
des Gehäuses siehe Kap. 3.1.) In der Position
- 3dB
oder
- 6 dB werden die Höhen entsprechend abge-
senkt. Das Gehäuse der Frequenzweiche wieder
schließen.
2) Eine Verpolung der Hochtöner kann durch Vertauschen
der Plus- und Minusanschlüsse TWEETER an der Fre-
quenzweiche erfolgen. Dieses kann für manche Car-
HiFi-Anlagen einen besseren Klang ergeben.
Bei den meisten Anlagen ergibt sich eine optimale Wie-
dergabe, wenn beide Stereokanäle gleich eingestellt wer-
den.

Vi preghiamo di leggere attentamente le presenti istruzio-
ni prima della messa in funzione e di conservarle per un
uso futuro.
1 Possibilità dʼimpiego
Questo set prestigioso di altoparlanti è stato realizzato
specialmente per lʼimpiego in impianti hifi per auto ed è
composto da:
2 × woofer/midrange ∅165 mm
2 × tweeter, ribaltabili allʼinterno delle loro casse
2 × filtro di frequenza a 2 vie
Per i componenti non si deve superare la seguente poten-
za per ogni canale:
130 WMAX, 65 WRMS
2 Avvertenze di sicurezza
I filtri e gli altoparlanti sono conformi a tutte le direttive
richieste dellʼUE e pertanto portano la sigla .
GUsare i componenti solo allʼinterno di locali. Proteggerli
dallʼacqua gocciolante e dagli spruzzi dʼacqua, da alta
umidità dellʼaria e dal calore (temperatura dʼimpiego
ammessa fra 0 e 40 °C).
GPer la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido, asciutto; non
impiegare in nessun caso prodotti chimici o acqua.
GNellʼautovettura, i componenti devono essere montati in
modo fisso e a regola dʼarte in un punto meccanica-
mente stabile della vettura, per escludere che si possa-
no staccare diventando dei proiettili pericolosi.
GNel caso dʼuso improprio, di collegamenti sbagliati, di
sovraccarico o di riparazione non a regola dʼarte dei
componenti, non si assume nessuna responsabilità per
eventuali danni consequenziali a persone o a cose e
non si assume nessuna garanzia per i componenti.
3 Messa in funzione
3.1 Montaggio del filtro di frequenza
1) Esercitare una forte pressione nel centro di un lato
della parte superiore del contenitore [vedi freccia (a) o
(b) in nellʼillustrazione qui sotto], per sganciare una
delle due linguette. A questo punto, la parte superiore
può essere tolta.
2) Ora sono accessibili i due fori di fissaggio allʼinterno.
Avvitare il filtro in un punto adatto.
3) Rimettere la parte superiore del contenitore dopo aver
eseguito lʼadattamento del livello per gli acuti (vedi
capitolo 3.3).
3.2 Connessione
La figura in basso illustra la connessione del set di alto-
parlanti per un canale. La connessione del secondo cana-
le avviene allo stesso modo. Fissare il conduttore cont-
rassegnato del cavo di collegamento sempre con il
relativo polo positivo in modo che tutti gli altoparlanti
abbiano per il momento la stessa polarità.
1) Collegare lʼuscita del finale con i contatti INPUT del fil-
tro.
2) Collegare il woofer/midrange con i contatti WOOFER.
3) Collegare il tweeter con i contatti TWEETER.
3.3 Eseguire le impostazioni
1) Per lʼadattamento del livello degli acuti ci si serve del
ponticello sul circuito stampato del filtro. (Per aprire il
contenitore vedi cap. 3.1.) In posizione rispettivamente
- 3 dB e - 6 dB, gli acuti vengono abbassati in relazio-
ne. Richiudere il contenitore del filtro.
2) Unʼinversione di polarità dei tweeter è possibile scam-
biando i contatti positivo e negativo TWEETER sul fil-
tro. Per certi impianti hifi per auto, questa manovra può
portare ad un suono migliore.
Nella maggior parte degli impianti comunque, la riprodu-
zione è ottimale se entrambi i canali stereo sono regolati
nello stesso modo.

1 Possibilités dʼutilisation
Cet ensemble haut-parleurs de grande qualité est spécia-
lement conçu pour une utilisation dans des installations
de Hi-Fi embarquée et se compose :
2 × haut-parleur de grave-médium ∅165 mm
2 × haut-parleur dʼaigu, peut être penché dans son boîtier
2 × filtre 2 voies
La puissance suivante des composants par canal ne doit
pas être dépassée :
130 WMAX, 65 WRMS
2 Conseils dʼutilisation importants
Les filtres et haut-parleurs répondent à toutes les direc-
tives nécessaires de lʼUnion Européenne et portent donc
le symbole .
GLes composants ne sont conçus que pour une utilisa-
tion en intérieur. Protégez-les de tout type de projec-
tions dʼeau, des éclaboussures, dʼune humidité dʼair
élevée et de la chaleur (plage de température de fonc-
tionnement autorisée : 0 – 40 °C).
GPour les nettoyer, utilisez uniquement un chiffon sec et
doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques ou dʼeau.
GLes composants doivent être fixés solidement et dʼune
façon compétente à un endroit mécaniquement stable
dans le véhicule pour éviter quʼils ne se desserrent et ne
se transforment en projectiles dangereux.
GNous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de dom-
mages matériels ou corporels si les haut-parleurs et les
filtres sont utilisés dans un but autre que celui pour
lequel ils ont été conçus, sʼils ne sont pas correctement
branchés, sʼil y a surcharge ou sʼils ne sont pas réparés
par une personne habilitée ; en outre, la garantie devien-
drait caduque.
3 Fonctionnement
3.1 Montage du filtre
1) Appuyez fortement sur la partie supérieure du boîtier
au centre dʼun côté [voir flèches (a) ou (b) sur le sché-
ma ci-dessous] pour désenclencher une des deux lan-
guettes. Retirez ensuite la partie supérieure.
2) Les deux trous de fixation à lʼintérieur sont désormais
accessibles. Vissez le filtre à lʼendroit voulu.
3) Ne repositionnez la partie supérieure du boîtier
quʼune fois lʼadaptation de niveau pour les aigus effec-
tuée (voir chapitre 3.3).
3.2 Branchement
Le branchement de cet ensemble pour un canal est pré-
senté ci-dessous. Le branchement pour le second canal
est identique. Connectez toujours le conducteur repéré
des câbles de liaison au pôle plus correspondant pour que
tous les haut-parleurs aient tous la même polarité en
même temps.
1) Reliez la sortie de lʼamplificateur aux bornes INPUT du
filtre.
2) Reliez le haut-parleur de grave-médium aux bornes
WOOFER.
3) Reliez le haut-parleur dʼaigu aux bornes TWEETER.
3.3 Réglages
1) Pour régler le niveau des aigus, on utilise le cavalier
sur le circuit imprimé du filtre (pour ouvrir le boîtier, voir
chapitre 3.1.) En position
- 3 dB et - 6 dB, les aigus
sont diminués en conséquence. Refermez le boîtier du
filtre.
2) La polarité des haut-parleurs dʼaigu peut être inversée
en changeant les bornes plus et moins TWEETER sur
le filtre. Sur certaines installations de Hi-Fi embarquée,
cela peut donner un meilleur son.
Sur la majorité des installations, on a une restitution opti-
male lorsque les deux canaux stéréo sont réglés de la
même façon.
