1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Der Übertrager FGA-22S dient zum Anschluss der
Line-Eingänge einer Car-HiFi-Endstufe an die Laut-
sprecherausgänge eines Autoradios. Außerdem er-
zeugt die Elektronik des FGA-22S eine 12-V-Schalt-
spannung, mit der die Endstufe ein- und ausge-
schaltet werden kann. Die Schaltspannung kann je-
doch nur erzeugt werden, wenn das Autoradio mit
einer Brückenendstufe ausgestattet ist (in der Regel
bei einer Ausgangsleistung des Radios von mindes-
tens 7 W Sinus pro Kanal an einem 4-Ω-Laut-
sprecher).
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch
Der Übertrager entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien
der EU und ist deshalb mit gekennzeichnet.
GSchützen Sie den Übertrager vor Tropf- und
Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zu-
lässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
GVerwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder
Wasser.
GWird der Übertrager zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig
installiert, falsch bedient oder nicht fachgerecht re-
pariert, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultierende
Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine Garantie
für das Gerät übernommen werden.
3 Montage
Den Übertrager fachgerecht im Fahrzeug fest-
schrauben, damit er sich während der Fahrt nicht
lösen kann.
4 Anschluss und Inbetriebnahme
Alle Anschlüsse nur bei ausgeschalteter Car-HiFi-
Anlage herstellen. Bei Arbeiten am Bordnetz unbe-
dingt zuerst den Minusanschluss der Autobatterie
abklemmen! Alle möglichen Verbindungen sind in der
Zeichnung unten dargestellt. Die gestrichelten Ver-
bindungen werden nur benötigt, wenn am Autoradio
kein Schaltspannungsausgang vorhanden ist.
1) Die Cinch-Buchsen OUTPUT (4) über abge-
schirmte Cinch-Audiokabel mit dem linken und
rechten Line-Eingang der Endstufe verbinden.
2) Die Plus- und Minuspole der Radio-Lautsprecher-
ausgänge mit den Klemmen INPUT R+, R
- ,L+
und L
- (1) verbinden.
3) Ist am Autoradio ein Schaltspannungsausgang
vorhanden, diesen mit dem Schaltspannungsein-
gang der Endstufe verbinden, wenn nicht:
Die Klemme REM des FGA-22S an den Schalt-
spannungseingang der Endstufe anschließen
(mögliche Beschriftung REM). Die Klemme B+
über eine abgesicherte Leitung mit der 12-V-
Bordspannung verbinden und die Klemme mit
einem Masseanschluss oder mit der Fahrzeug-
masse (unlackierte, saubere, fettfreie Stellen an
der Karosserie). Die LED REM (2) leuchtet, wenn
die vom FGA-22S erzeugte Schaltspannung an
der Klemme REM anliegt.
4) Mit den beiden Reglern SIGNAL LEVEL (3) lässt
sich der Ausgangspegel des Übertragers an den
Eingang der Endstufe anpassen. Das Autoradio
auf maximale, nicht verzerrende Lautstärke ein-
stellen. Die Regler am Übertrager mithilfe eines
Schraubendrehers ebenfalls auf maximale, nicht
verzerrende Lautstärke der Endstufe einstellen.

Transformer for
Car HiFi Power Amplifiers
Please read these operating instructions carefully
prior to setting the transformer into operation and
keep them for later use.
1 Applications
The transformer FGA-22S serves for connecting the
line inputs of a car HiFi power amplifier to the
speaker outputs of a car radio. Besides, the elec-
tronic system of the FGA-22S generates a 12 V con-
trol voltage to switch on and off the power amplifier.
However, this control voltage can only be generated
if the car radio is equipped with a bridge power am-
plifier (usually, with a radio output power of at least
7W
RMS per channel at a 4 Ω speaker).
2 Important Notes
The transformer corresponds to all relevant directives
of the EU and is therefore marked with .
GProtect the transformer against dripping water and
splash water, high air humidity, and heat (admissi-
ble ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
GFor cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
chemicals or water.
GNo guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material dam-
age will be accepted if the unit is used for other
purposes than originally intended, if it is not cor-
rectly installed or operated, or not repaired in an
expert way.
3 Mounting
Tightly screw down the transformer in the vehicle in
an expert way to ensure that it will not work loose
when driving.
4 Connection and Setting into Operation
Only make all connections with the car HiFi system
switched off. When working on the electric system of
the car, always disconnect the negative terminal of
the car battery first! All possible connections are
shown in the drawing below. The dashed connec-
tions are only required if the car radio is not equipped
with a control voltage output.
1) Connect the RCA jacks OUTPUT (4) via screened
RCA audio cables to the left and right line inputs
of the power amplifier.
2) Connect the positive and negative poles of the
speaker outputs of the radio to the terminals
INPUT R+, R
- , L+ and L - (1).
3) If the car radio is equipped with a control voltage
output, connect this output to the control voltage
input of the power amplifier, if no control voltage
output is available:
Connect the terminal REM of the FGA-22S to the
control voltage input of the power amplifier (possi-
ble marking REM). Connect the terminal B+ via a
fused cable to the 12 V electric system of the car
and the terminal to a ground connection or to
the ground of the car (unpainted, clean spots free
of grease on the chassis). The LED REM (2) lights
up when the control voltage generated by the FGA-
22S is present at the terminal REM.
4) The output level of the transformer can be adapted
to the input of the power amplifier with the two con-
trols SIGNAL LEVEL (3). Adjust the car radio to
the maximum volume without distortion. Adjust the
controls at the transformer likewise to the maxi-
mum volume without distortion of the power am-
plifier by means of a screwdriver.

Transformateur pour
amplificateur voiture
Veuillez lire la présente notice avec attention avant le
fonctionnement et conservez-la pour pouvoir vous y
reporter ultérieurement.
1 Possibilités dʼutilisation
Le transformateur FGA-22S permet de relier les en-
trées ligne dʼun amplificateur voiture aux sorties haut-
parleurs dʼun autoradio. De plus, le circuit élec-
tronique du FGA-22S crée une tension de commuta-
tion 12 V avec laquelle lʼamplificateur peut être
allumé ou éteint. La tension de commutation ne peut
être produite que si lʼautoradio est doté dʼun amplifi-
cateur bridgé (en règle générale pour une puissance
de sortie de lʼautoradio de 7 WRMS au moins par
canal à un haut-parleur 4 Ω).
2 Conseils importants
Le transformateur répond à toutes les directives
nécessaires de lʼUnion européenne et porte donc le
symbole .
GProtégez le transformateur de tout type de projec-
tions dʼeau, des éclaboussures, dʼune humidité
élevée dʼair et de la chaleur (plage de température
de fonctionnement autorisée : 0 – 40 °C).
GPour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un chiffon
sec et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques
ou dʼeau.
GNous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de
dommages matériels ou corporels résultants si le
transformateur est utilisé dans un but autre que
celui pour lequel il a été conçu, sʼil nʼest pas cor-
rectement installé, utilisé ou nʼest pas réparé par
une personne habilitée, en outre, la garantie de-
viendrait caduque.
3 Montage
Vissez le transformateur dans le véhicule solidement
de telle sorte quʼil ne se desserre pas pendant le trajet.
4 Branchement et fonctionnement
Lʼensemble des branchements ne doit être réalisé
que lorsque lʼinstallation audio est débranchée ! Dé-
vissez impérativement la borne moins de la batterie
du véhicule lorsque vous travaillez avec lʼalimentation
du véhicule. Le schéma ci-dessous présente toutes
les connexions possibles. Les connexions en poin-
tillé ne sont nécessaires que lorsque sur lʼautoradio
aucune sortie de tension de commutation nʼexiste.
1) Reliez les fiches RCA OUTPUT (4) via des cor-
dons audio RCA blindés à lʼentrée ligne droite et
à lʼentrée ligne gauche de lʼamplificateur voiture.
2) Reliez les pôles plus et moins des sorties haut-
parleurs de lʼautoradio aux bornes INPUT R+, R
- ,
L+, L
- (1).
3) Si sur lʼautoradio, une sortie tension de commuta-
tion existe, reliez-la avec lʼentrée tension de com-
mutation de lʼamplificateur. Si elle nʼexiste pas :
Reliez la borne REM du FGA-22S à lʼentrée de ten-
sion de commutation de lʼamplificateur (inscription
possible REM). Reliez la borne B+ via un cordon
protégé par fusible à la tension 12 V du véhicule et
la borne à un branchement masse ou à la masse
du véhciule (points non laqués, propres, non gras
sur la carrosserie). La LED REM (2) brille lorsque la
tension de commutation produite par le FGA-22S
est présente à la borne REM.
4) Avec les deux réglages SIGNAL LEVEL (3), on
peut adapter le niveau de sortie du transformateur
à lʼentrée de lʼamplificateur voiture. Réglez lʼauto-
radio sur un volume maximal, non distordant. Sur
le transformateur, réglez les réglages à lʼaide dʼun
tournevis également sur un volume maximal, non
distordant de lʼamplificateur.

retiré du marché, vous devez le déposer
dans une usine de recyclage adaptée pour
contribuer à son élimination non polluante.

1 Possibilità dʼimpiego
Il trasformatore FGA-22S serve per collegare gli in-
gressi Line di un finale car-hifi con le uscite per
altoparlanti di unʼautoradio. Inoltre, il sistema elettro-
nico del FGA-22S genera una tensione di commuta-
zione di 12 V con cui è possibile accendere e
spegnere il finale. Tuttavia, la tensione di commuta-
zione può essere generata solo se l'autoradio è equi-
paggiata con un finale a ponte (di regola con una
potenza d'uscita della radio di 7 W efficaci min. per
canale con un altoparlante a 4 Ω).
2 Avvertenze importanti per lʼuso
Il trasformatore è conforme a tutte le direttive rilevanti
dellʼUE e pertanto porta la sigla .
GProteggere il trasformatore dallʼacqua gocciolante
e dagli spruzzi dʼacqua, da alta umidità dellʼaria e
dal calore (temperatura dʼimpiego ammessa fra 0
e 40 °C).
GPer la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido,
asciutto; non impiegare in nessun caso prodotti
chimici o acqua.
GNel caso dʼuso improprio, di installazione sba-
gliata, dʼimpiego scorretto o di riparazione non a
regola dʼarte del trasformatore, non si assume
nessuna responsabilità per eventuali danni con-
sequenziali a persone o a cose e non si assume
nessuna garanzia per lʼapparecchio.
3 Montaggio
Avvitare il trasformatore a regola dʼarte nel veicolo in
modo che non possa staccarsi durante il viaggio.
4 Collegamento e messa in funzione
Effettuare tutti i collegamenti solo con lʼimpianto car-
hifi spento. Durante il lavoro nella rete di bordo, stac-
care assolutamente prima il contatto negativo della
batteria dellʼauto! Il disegno in basso illustra tutti i col-
legamenti possibili. I collegamenti tratteggiati sono ri-
chiesti solo se lʼautoradio è senza uscita di tensione
di commutazione.
1) Collegare le prese RCA OUTPUT (4) con lʼin-
gresso Line sinistro e destro del finale per mezzo
di cavi audio RCA schermati.
2) Collegare i poli positivo e negativo delle uscite per
altoparlanti della radio con i morsetti INPUT R+,
R
- , L+ e L - (1).
3) Se lʼautoradio dispone di unʼuscita di tensione di
commutazione, collegarla con lʼingresso di ten-
sione di commutazione del finale, altrimenti:
collegare il morsetto REM del FGA-22S con lʼin-
gresso di tensione di commutazione del finale
(possibile scritta REM). Collegare il morsetto B+
con la tensione 12 V di bordo servendosi di un
conduttore con fusibile, e il morsetto con un
contatto di massa o con la massa del veicolo
(punti non verniciati, puliti, sgrassati della
carrozzeria). Il LED REM (2) è acceso quando la
tensione di commutazione generata dal FGA-22S
è presente sul morsetto REM.
4) Con i due regolatori SIGNAL LEVEL (3) è possi-
bile adattare il livello dʼuscita del trasformatore al-
lʼingresso del finale. Regolare lʼautoradio sul vo-
lume massimo, senza distorsioni. Con un caccia-
vite impostare anche i regolatori del trasformatore
sul volume massimo, senza distorsioni.
