Fog Machine
1 Applications
A special atmosphere can be created by emitting fog from the fog
machine. The unit is thus suitable for use in e.g. the disco, the
theatre, and at the private party.
2 Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to the directive for electromagnetic compati-
bility 89/336/EEC and the low voltage directive 73/23/EEC.
The unit uses dangerous mains voltage (230V~). To prevent a
shockhazard,do not open thecabinet. Leave servicing toauthor-
ized skilled personnel only. Besides, any guarantee claim expires
if the unit has been opened.
For the operation also watch in any case the following items:
●The unit is suitable for indoor use only.
●Protect the unit against humidity and heat (permissible operating
temperature range 0–40°C).
●The heat which is generated in the unit has to be carried off via
aircirculation.Therefore, donot cover theair vents of thehousing
with anything.
●Do not insert or drop anything into the air vents! This could result
in electric shock.
●Do not take the unit into operation and immediately take the
mains plug out of the mains socket if:
1. damage at the unit or mains cable can be seen,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or similar accident,
3. there are malfunctions.
The unit must in any case be repaired by authorized skilled per-
sonnel.
●A damaged mains cable must only be repaired by the manu-
facturer or authorized skilled personnel.
●Never pull the mains plug out of the mains socket by means of
the mains cable.
●If the unit is used for purposes other than originally intended, if it
is operated in the wrong way or if it is not repaired by authorized
skilled personnel, no liability can be taken over for possible
damage.
●Only use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning, by no means chemicals or
water.
●If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively, bring it to a local
recycling plant for disposal.
●Important for U.K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the
following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
Asthecolours of thewires in the mainslead of thisappliancemay
not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the termi-
nals in your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the let-
ter E or by the earth symbol , or coloured green or green
and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the ter-
minal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter Lor coloured red.

This appliance must be earthed.
3 Operation
●The unit must only be taken into operation by adults.
●Never operate the fog machine without the fog fluid. Risk of fire!
1) Mount the supplied handle. Place both supplied rubber washers
between the handle and the housing while mounting the handle.
Tighten the screws firmly.
2) Open the tank and fill it up with fog fluid. The following fluids are
suitable and are available from our product range:
NF-500L “long life”, 5 litre container
NF-500SL “super long life”, 5 litre container
Only use the stated fog fluids, otherwise no liability can be taken
over for a proper operation!
The following fragrances which are available from our product
range may be added to the fog fluid:
NF-10 Apple
NF-20 Cherry
NF-30 Vanilla
NF-40 Woodruff
A bottle of fragrance is sufficient for 5 litres of fog fluid. Do not
add more fragrance as otherwise the fog machine may get
clogged.
3) Operate the unit in a horizontal position so that no fluid can leak
out.
4) Insert the connecting plug of the remote control into the jack on
the rear panel of the fog machine.
5) Connect the unit to a mains socket (230V~/50Hz). A red LED
lights as an operating indication on the rear panel of the model
FM-700.
6) The fog machine heats up for approx. five minutes. It is not pos-
sible to emit fog before this.
7) The red display on the remote control lights:
for the model FM-700 if the heating-up process is completed and
fog can be emitted.
for the model FM-700P if the unit is heating up. Fog can only be
emitted after the display extinguishes.
8) As long as fog is to be emitted, keep the switch on the remote
control pressed.
Risk of burning! Do not direct the hot stream of fog towards
people, and keep a distance of at least 50cm to the output
nozzle.
9) Fog can be emitted continuously for approx. one minute. After-
wards, the unit has to heat up again. During the heat-up phase
no fog can be emitted.
Even if no fog is emitted, the unit heats up in regular intervals.
