OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CHARGING THE BATTERY
The AC adapter is intended for use with Monster Clipper model M03 lithium-ion
trimmer battery with a rated capacity of 5V 1.5A.
Plug the AC adapter/power cord into an outlet at the correct voltage.
Plug the adapter cord into the receptable on the back of the charging stand
(figure 1) and place trimmer in the charging stand with the Monster Clippers
logo facing forward.
Make sure that the trimmer is switched OFF
when charging. Note that the trimmer can be
removed at any time during the charging cycle
without harming the trimmer or battery.
The trimmer has not been charged at the factory.
Please charge the trimmer for about 60 minutes
before the first use for maximum performance.
You can keep the trimmer plugged into the
charging stand or AC adapter when not in use.
CORDED OPERATION
If the trimmer powers OFF in the middle of a trimming
job, the power cord can be attached to continue use
in corded operation. For corded operation, disconnect
the AC adapter/power cord from the back of stand and
connect the receptacle on the bottom of the trimmer

TRIMMER CARE
BLADE CARE & OILING
You can clean the excess hair from your blades by
using a small cleaning brush. Any excess hair and
dirt that has accumulated between the blades should
come out by using the Monster Clippers Clean & Cool
Spray (sold seperately). This maintenance spray cools,
cleans, lubricates and protects the cutting blade.
For longer durability and a smooth performance.
A quick and easy way to clean the blade of impurities!
To ensure durability and maintain performance,
we recommend oiling the blades before, during
and after each use.
FAILURE TO REGULARLY CLEAN AND OIL
THE BLADES WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.
When you feel your trimmer blades leave streaks or slow down,
it’s an indication that you need to oil your blades.
To oil it properly, the trimmer should be held so the blades are
in a downward position. Place one drop of Monster Clippers oil
(sold seperately) in the center of the movable top blade and one
drop of oil on each end of the top blade. Turn trimmer on and
run to distribute the oil.
When oil is evenly distributed, turn trimmer off and wipe off
excess oil with a soft dry cloth. Periodically oil heel of blade to
reduce blade friction.

Oil in the motor compartment could eventually lead to poor motor performance
or defects.
UNIT CARE
It’s best to use a clean cloth (dry or dampened with water).
DO NOT USE thinner, bleach, benzene or other aggressive cleaning agents to

REPLACING OR RE-ADJUSTING

Please use extreme caution when replacing or re-adjusting the blade, improper
adjustment may result in serious skin irritation or even aggravating cuts.
Switch off the trimmer. Undo both screws on the cutting set by using a
phillips-head type screwdriver. Remove the bottom blade and the top blade.
When assembling both blades should be aligned as follows:
1. Adjust the cutting-length adjustment level to the desired cutting length.
2. Make sure that the top blade does not extend past the bottom blade.
The distance between the front edge of both blades should be between
0,2 mm (zero gap) – 0,5 mm.
3. The bottom blade and the top blade should be parallel to each other.
4. The first tooth of the top blade (from the left) must cover the first tooth
of the bottom blade.
5. The outermost tooth of the top blade (on the right) must touch the
outermost large tooth of the bottom blade (on the right).
6 Once the blade is adjusted to zero gap or your liking, gently tighten the two
screws on each side of the blade. If the blade is not adjusted to satisfaction
after testing, repeat the adjusting process.

GUIDELINES FOR LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES
1. This trimmer contains a lithium-ion battery. A lithium-ion battery does not
develop a “memory effect” like other batteries. This means that you can
charge the Monster Trimmer at any time for a full charge, or even use
the trimmer before the battery is fully charged. Like most rechargeable
batteries, lithium-ion batteries perform best when used frequently.
2. When the trimmer won’t be used for a week or more we recommend
that you unplug the charging stand or AC adapter and store the trimmer
in a partially discharged condition. Recharge the battery before use.
3. Optimum use of the battery capacity will be achieved when charging
at a stable temperature. Sudden fluctuations in temperature may result
in a partially charged battery.
4. A battery that is used intensively or older then one year may not have the
same run-time performance as a new battery.
5. New lithium-ion batteries that are unused for a period of time, may not
accept a full charge. This is normal and does not indicate any problems.
After several cycles of trimmer use and recharging the battery will accept
a full charge.
To protect the environment please dispose the battery in a responsible manner,
exhausted batteries/ rechargeable batteries should not be disposed of in
the household waste. Dispose of them in a completely discharged state in
accordance with the local legal regulations. For more details on recycling options
and proper disposal, please contact your local waste officials/facility.
