Before getting started…
Carefully remove the unit from its packaging. Visually inspect it and report any damage to your MOON Retailer immediately.
The packaging materials were designed to protect this product while in transit. Store these materials in a dry location for the
duration of the two-year warranty period.

This device features a power switch (I / O) on its underside. The switch is in the Off position by default. This is necessary
when the device is in transit. For normal use, toggle the switch to the On position. Do not even switch off the power to
charge the battery.
Get to know your MOON BRM-1
The MOON BRM-1 may be held or set on a flat surface. Since it is unnecessary to aim this remote-control unit at a device to
control it, it may be placed virtually anywhere in the room or beyond.

The remote-control unit is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Connect a USB cable to the USB-C connector on
the underside of the unit and leave the power switch in the On position to charge it with a standard USB charger.
The unit comprises three distinct sections.
1. The outer ring serves to adjust volume and to select inputs on linked devices.
2. Four virtual buttons appear around the perimeter of the display to control the most common functions of a MOON
network player and preamplifier: Play/Pause, Forward, Back, and Mute.
3. The centre of the display indicates the volume level of the linked device, the active input, and additional functions.
When the BRM-1 is powered on but not linked with a MOON device, it displays its unique ID. This occurs prior to
configuration, when the remote control is out of range of the device, or when the device is powered off.
Pair your MOON BRM-1
Any MOON BRM-1 could control any compatible MOON device. To establish a link between the MOON BRM-1 and a specific
device, enter the Setup menu on the corresponding device, and select Remote Control.
•Link Remote searches for a nearby MOON BRM-1 remote control, displaying its ID on both devices and permitting
them to be associated.
•Unlink Remote displays associated MOON BRM-1 units permitting them to be disassociated from this device.
•Information displays useful information about the associated MOON BRM-1 units.
Operate your MOON BRM-1
The power switch must remain On when in use or asleep, and when charging the battery.
The MOON BRM-1 has two sets of functions.

Common Functions
Tapping quickly in the centre of the display toggles between Volume and Input modes.

The rotating knob mimics the behaviour of the rotary knob on the linked MOON device.
Additional Functions
Holding a finger for two seconds in the centre of the display toggles between common and additional functions.
The Play/Pause and Mute buttons scroll forward and backward through five screens.
toggles the linked MOON device into or out of Standby, as well as all devices in
its MOONLink Group
adjusts the Balance of the linked MOON device using the rotary knob
adjusts the Brightness of the BRM-1 display
monitors the Battery Level of the BRM-1
Recharge the battery when the Battery level is depleted:|
reveals the ID of the BRM-1
Care for your MOON BRM-1
Avoid cleaning products. A dry micro-fibre cloth or a cloth for cleaning eye glass lenses should suffice.
