Motion Pro Digital Tire Gauge P/N 08-0684
Quick Use Instructions
Press the ON/OFF button to power-up gauge. The gauge will display current pressure,
pressure unit (Psi, Kpa, etc…) and battery condition indicator. Select the desired
pressure unit by pressing the FUNCTION button until the desired pressure is shown
at the bottom of the display. Choices are Psi, Kpa, Bar and Kgf/cm2 (Note: pressure
unit cannot be changed when gauge is in hold mode. See below for details on the
hold setting.)
The gauge is now ready to measure pressure. Connect the gauge to the tire valve,
the display will show the current tire pressure to the tenth (1/10) of a pound. You
may depress the black pressure release button on the front of the blue trapezoid
body to release excess pressure from the tire until you reach your desired pressure.
The gauge will continuously monitor the current pressure unless set to hold mode
(see below). After use of the gauge is complete it can either be turned off manually
to preserve maximum battery life or allowed to turn off automatically after the
programmed auto-off time has elapsed (see below for instructions on changing the
auto-off timer).
The backlight will shut down after 20 seconds to preserve battery life. The gauge will automatically zero for changes in
temperature or ambient pressure during use; however, the gauge can be manually zeroed anytime using the Manual Zero
procedure described below if desired.
Note: The gauge will not hold pressure once removed from the tire valve. However, if it is desired that the gauge does retain
a pressure reading, it can be set to hold mode and the maximum pressure indicated will be retained on the display until
gauge is turned off or is allowed to auto-off.
Additional Features
Manual Zero
With the gauge not connected to a pressure source, ensure there is no pressure in the unit by pressing the release button.
With the unit turned “on” and 0.0 displayed, press and hold the FUNCTION button for 5 seconds until - - 0 – appears.
Release the FUNCTION button and -000 will be displayed. Immediately press the ON/OFF button and 0000 will display,
then ash, –End will momentarily be displayed, and the gauge display will return to 0.0. The manual zero process is now
complete and the gauge is once again ready for use.
Setting Cont and Hold Functions
Note: Virtually all users will normally use the Cont (Continuous) mode for normal tire pressure readings allowing the gauge
to continuously monitor the current pressure; however, Hold mode may be desirable in certain applications where the
maximum pressure reading will be retained on the display until gauge is turned off or is allowed to auto-off.
With the unit turned “on” and 0.0 displayed, press and hold the FUNCTION button for 5 seconds until - - 1 – appears.
Release the FUNCTION button. Cont and Hold will alternately be displayed. Press the ON/OFF button when the desired
mode is displayed. The selected mode will then ash, –End will momentarily be displayed, and the gauge display will return
to 0.0. The gauge is now ready for use.
Note: HOLD will be displayed at the base of the display when in Hold mode. That area of the display will be blank when
in Cont (continuous) mode.

Setting AUTO-OFF Timer
With the unit turned “on” and 0.0 displayed, press and hold the FUNCTION button for 5 seconds until - - 2 – appears.
Release the FUNCTION button. Four choices of timer setting will alternately be displayed, 180, 240, 300 & 360 seconds.
Press the ON/OFF button when the desired time is displayed. The selected time will then ash,
–End will momentarily be displayed, and the gauge display will return to 0.0. The gauge is now ready for use.
Setting AUTO-ON function
*Please note that this feature will continually use a very small amount of battery power when enabled. It is recommended that
this feature be turned off when the gauge is not being used over long periods of time.
With the Auto-On feature enabled, the gauge will automatically detect pressure, turn on and display current pressure simply
by connecting the gauge to a pressure source. This feature will also override the Auto-Off timer feature while the gauge is
sensing pressure. The Auto-Off Timer will resume once the gauge has been removed from the pressure source.
With the unit turned “on” and 0.0 displayed, press and hold the FUNCTION button for 5 seconds until - - 3 – appears.
Release the FUNCTION button. The numbers 1and 0 will alternately be displayed. Press the ON/OFF button when the
desired mode is displayed.
1: The gauge will Auto-On and override the Auto-Off Timer when sensing pressure. If no pressure, gauge will auto-off
after the programmed auto-off time.
0: No Auto-On and the Gauge will auto-off after set auto-off time.
The selected mode will then ash, –End will momentarily be displayed, and the gauge display will return to 0.0. The gauge
is now ready for use.
Battery Replacement
The 08-0684 Motion Pro Digital Gauge uses two AAA batteries to power the unit. To replace the batteries in the gauge
after they no longer have sufcient power, carefully push the rubber boot back over the top of the gauge exposing the
