Remoción del Motor
1. Siga siempre las recomendaciones del fabricante
con respecto a la remoción de motores.
2. Enganche el motor al malacate al punto
indicado, o donde esté bien balanceada la carga.

remoción del motor.
3. Asegúrese que el frente del vehiculo no este
rozando contra la unidad hidáulica. Siempre baje
el aguilón a su punto más bajo antes de mover la
carga.
4. NO PERMITA que la carga se caiga o se mueva
repentinamente a cualquer lado, puesto que
podria haber inestabilidad o pérdida de carga.
5. NUNCA efectúe ningún trabajo en el motor
estando montado en el malacate Transfiera
siempre a un Sostén MOTORHEAD Para Motores
u otro semejante producto antes de empezar la

Safety Markings
(a) Study, understand, and follow all instructions before operating this device.
(b) Do not exceed rated capacity.
(c) Use only on hard level surface.
(d) Before moving, lower the load to the lowest possible point.
(e) Failure to heed these markings may result in personal injury and/or property damage.
Safety Messages
(a) Use only slings or chains with a rated capacity greater than the weight of the load
being lifted.
(b) Do not allow load to swing or drop violently while lowering or moving.
(c) No alterations shall be made to this product.
BEFORE USE
During shipment or handling, air in jack can become trapped in the hydraulic system
causing jack to malfunction.
To release air from the hydraulic system:
1. Turn release valve counter-clockwise with handle no more than two full turns.
2. Slow loosen oil fill plug.
3. Pump jack handle quickly in several full strokes.
4. Repeat above steps as needed. Remember to retighten oil fill plug.
WARNING
Owner and/or Operator Responsibility
The owner and/or operator shall study the product instructions and retain them for future
reference.
Operation
The owner and/or operator shall have an understanding of the product, its operating
characteristics, and safety operating instructions before operating the PALD. Safety
information shall be emphasized and understood. If the operator is not fluent in English, the
product and safety instructions shall be read to and discussed with the operator in the
operator's native language by the purchaser/owner or his designee, making sure that the
operator comprehends their contents.
Maintenance
The PALD shall be maintained in accordance with the product instruction.
1. When jack is not in use, lifting arm should be in full down position.
2. Always keep jack clean and keep the screw and bearings well lubricated.
3. Keep moving parts clean; lubricate moving parts every 3 months.
Inspection
(a) Visual inspection shall be made before each use of the PALD by checking
for abnormal conditions, such as cracked welds, leaks, and damaged, loose,
or missing parts.
(b) Other inspections shall be made per product operating instructions.
(c) Each PALD shall be inspected immediately if the device is believed to have
been subjected to an abnormal load or shock. It is recommended that
this inspection be made by a manufacturer's or supplier's authorized repair facility.
(d) Owners and/or operators should be aware that repair of this equipment may
require specialized knowledge and facilities. It is recommended that an
annual inspection of the PALD be made by a manufacturer's or supplier's
authorized repair facility and that any defective parts, decals, or safety labels
or signs be replaced with manufacturer's or supplier's specified parts. A list
of authorized repair facilities is available from the manufacturer or supplier.
Damaged Equipment
Any PALD that appears to be damaged in any way, is found to be worn or operates
abnormally SHALL BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE UNTIL REPAIRED. It is recommended
that necessary repairs be made by a manufacturer's or supplier's authorized repair facility if
repairs are permitted by the manufacturer or supplier.
Alterations
Because of potential hazards associated with this type of equipment, no alterations shall be
made to the product.
Attachments and Adaptors
Only attachments and/or adaptors supplied by the manufacturer shall be used.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Check Engine Hoist
Before any use of your Motorhead Engine Hoist visually
inspect the entire unit including the Support Post,
Hydraulic Ram, and Boom for any loose points, signs
of instability, or leaking hydraulic fluid. If observed low,
add oil as needed. This unit is designed for engine pulling
only. DO NOT attempt to use it for lifting any other heavy
equipment.
Check Weight
Maximum Weight Capacity is 2 TONS. Always check
weight of engine and compare to the unit's capacity.
NEVER EXCEED WEIGHT LIMIT or loss of load may occur.
Check Work Area
Visually inspect the floor surface before use. Make
sure that floor is smooth, hard, free of cracks and
obstructions that could hamper movement of hoist.

Prior to starting to build your MOTORHEAD Engine Hoist, separate all parts and bolts from
packing. Become
familiar with each part before preceeding to assemble. See Parts List Below for list of parts
and fasteners.
Step 1 – Install Casters and Wheels
Using two 3 – 1/2” casters (#11) and two 3” casters (#10) to the Frame Base (F).
Using two 3 - 1/2” wheels (#13) to the Base Legs (G).
Step 2 – Build Main Frame Section
A. Slide the Base Legs (G) into the Frame Base (F) and secure with two Lock Pin16
(#8).
B. Place the Support Post (C) on the Frame Base (F) and insert two M14X100 (#5)
bolts. Finger tighten so that the Support Post can be moved in order to attach
the Support Braces (D).
C. Place one Support Brace (D) on each side of the Support Post (C). Secure the
top with one M14 x 100 (#2) bolt and the bottom with two M14 x 100 (#5) bolts.
Then tighten the M18 x 100 (#1) from Step B above.
Step 3 – Install The Hydraulic Ram
Place the Hydraulic Ram (E) on the Support Post (C) bracket. Lean the Hydraulic
Ram against the Support Post and secure at the bottom with one M16 x 90 (#3)
bolt.
Step 4 – Attaching Boom And Extension
A. Place the Boom (B) on top of the Support Post (C) and secure with one M18 x
100 (#1) bolt. Pump Hydraulic Ram (E) until it is extended approximately 2".
Place front mounting bracket on Boom (B) on top of Hydraulic Ram (E) and
secure with one M16 X70 (#4) bolt.
B. Tighten all bolts on Hydraulic Ram (E) from Step 3 and Step 4A.
C. Slide Boom Extension (A) inside of Boom (B) and secure with one Lock Pin16
(#9) in hole MARKED 1 TON.
Step 5 – Completed Assembly
A. Secure Hook and Chain Assembly to Boom Extension with one M14 x 70 (#6)
bolt.
B. Secure one Push Bar (#12) to back of Support Post (C) with four M8 x 12 (#7)
bolts.
Installation is now completed. Make sure you follow Operating Instructions completely for
proper use and use of this product and Lifting Cautions.

Follow Vehicle Engine
Removal Instruction
1. Always follow manufacturer's recommended
procedure for engine removal.
2. Hook engine to hoist unit in recommended location
or where load will be balanced. Use Motorhead Engine
Leveler or similar devise to assist in engine removal.
3. Make sure that front of vehicle is not up against the
hydraulic unit. Always lower boom to lowest position
prior to moving load.
4. DO NOT allow load to drop or swing sharply, as
instability or loss of load may occur.
5. NEVER perform any work on engine while it is on
Hoist. Always transfer to Motorhead Engine Stand
or similar product before work on inspection can be
done to engine.

like item of equal value any item found to have defects in materials or workmanship during
the 1 year of customer ownership from date of purchase with proof of purchase. (Proof of
purchase must be either original or clear copy of your store receipt.) Before returning to
the store, please call toll free customer support at 1-866-608-5212 Monday thru Friday
between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST for assistance and troubleshooting the
issue with your product. Replacement parts for your product can be obtained thru the
customer support group. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also

Responsabilidad del Propietario y/o Usuario
El propietario y/o el usuario deberá(n) estudiar las instrucciones del producto y guardarlas
bien para referencia futura.
Operación
El propietario u operador deberán tener un conocimiento del producto, de sus
características de operación y de las instrucciones de seguridad antes de utilizar el APLV.
Se deben enfatizar y comprender los datos de seguridad. Si el usuario no habla el español
fluidamente, el comprador/propietario debe explicar las instrucciones de operación y
seguridad en su propio idioma, asegurándose que el usuario entienda su contenido.
Mantenimiento
El EPLV debe ser mantenido de acuerdo con las intrucciones del producto:
1. Cuando el gato mecánico no esta en uso, el brazo de levantamiento debe mantenerse
en la posición más baja.
2. Siempre mantenga límpio el gato mecánico y mantenga los tornillos y rulimanes
buen lubricados.
3. Mantenga límpias las partes que se pueden mover; lubrique estas partes móviles cada
3 meses.
Inspección
(a) Se debe hacer una inspección visual antes de cualquier uso del gato para condiciones
anormales, tales como soldadura partida, fugas de líquido, o piezas ausentes o dañadas.
(b) Se deben hacer otras inspecciones de acuerdo con las instrucciones.
(c) Cada APLV deberá inspeccionarse de manera inmediata si se cree que el aparato ha
sido sometido a un golpe o a una carga fuera de lo normal. Se recomienda que tal
inspección sea hecha en las instalaciones del mismo fabricante o proveedor.
(d) El propietario y/o usuario debe(n) entender que la reparación de este equipo puede
requerir conocimientos e instalaciones especializadas.Se recomienda que se lleve a cabo
una inspección anual del gato en las mismas instalaciones del fabricante o proveedor y
que cualquier piezas, calcomanías, o etiquetas de seguridad defectuosas sean
reemplazadas con refacciones autorizadas por el fabricante o proveedor. El fabricante o
proveedor puede proporcionar una lista de los lugares de instalaciones aprobadas de
reparación.
Equipos Dañados
Cualquier gato que parezca tener cualquier clase de daño, desgaste u operación anormal
SE DEBE RETIRAR DE SERVICIO MIENTRAS SE REPARE. Se recomienda que las debidas
reparaciones sean hechas en las instalaciones del fabricante o proveedor si es que el
fabricante o proveedor permite tales reparaciones.

ANTES DE USAR
Durante el envío o el manejo, es posible que se atrape aire en el sistema hidráulico del gato
causando el funcionamiento defectuoso del mismo.
Para liberar aire del sistema hidráulico:
1. Usando la manija, gire la válvula de descarga en sentido contrahorario no más de dos
giros completos.
2. Ahora afloja lentamente el tapón de llenar de aceite.
3. Bombee rápidamente la manija del gato con varios movimientos completos.
4. Repita los pasos de más arriba en la medida que sea necesario. Recuerde reapretar el
tapón de llenar de aceite.

Antes de empezar el montaje del Malacate MOTORHEAD para Motores, separe todas las
piezas y tornillos del embalaje. Familiarícese con cada pieza antes de comenzar a
ensamblar. Véase Lista de Piezas que aparece abajo para una lista de piezas y sujetadores.
Paso 1 - Instalar Rodajas
Usando dos rodajas de 3-1/2” (#11) y otros dos de 3” (#10) a la base del
Bastidor (F).
Usando dos rudedas de 3-1/2” (#13) a la base del Patas De Base (G).
Paso 2 - Armar Sección Principal del Bastidor
A. lntroduzca las Patas de Base (G) en la Base de Bastidor (F) sujetando con dos
Clavija de Traba16 (#8).
B. Coloque el Poste de Soporte (C) en la Base de Bastidor (F) e introduzca dos
tornillos M14X100 (#5). Apriete con los dedos para que el poste aún se pueda
mover para montar las Riostras de Soporte (D).
C. Coloque una Riostra de Soporte (D) en cada lado del Poste de Soporte (C).
Asegure la parte superior con tornillo M14 x 100 (#2), y la parte inferior con dos
M14 x 100 (#5). Luego ajuste bien el M18 x 100 (#1) mencionado arriba en el
paso B.
Paso 3 - lnstalar el Pisón (Ariete) Hidráulico
Coloque el Ariete Hidráulico (E) en la cartela del Poste de Soporte (C). Apoye el
Ariete Hidráulico contra el Poste de Soporte y sujete la parte inferior con un
tornillo M16 x 90 (#3)
Paso 4 - Aguilón y Extensión
A. Coloque el Aguilón (B) encima del Poste de Soporte (C) y asegure con tornillo
M18 x 100 (#1). Bombee Ariete Hidráulico (E) hasta que se extienda
aproximadamente 2". Coloque la cartela de montaje delantera del Aguilón (B)
en la cima del Ariete Hidráulico (E), asegurando con un tornillo M16 X70 (#4).
B. Apriete todos los tornillos del Ariete Hidráulico (E) de los pasos 3 y 4A.
C. Deslice Extensión de Aguilón (A) hacia adentro del Aguilón (B), fijando con
Clavija de Traba16 (#9) en agujero marcado 1 TON.
Paso 5 - Montaje Completdo
A. Asegure Montaje Gancho y Cadena a Extensión de Aguilón con un M14 x 70
(#6).
B. Asegure Barra de Empuje (#12) al dorso del Poste de Soporte (C) con cuatro
tornillos M8 x 12 (#7).
La instalación ya está completada. Asegúrese de seguir completamente las lnstrucciones
de Operación y las Precauciones de Elevación.
Revisar Malacate Para Motores
Antes de cualquier uso de su Malacate MOTORHEAD Para
Motores, inspeccione la unidad completa, incluyendo el
Poste de Soporte, Ariete Hidráulico, y Aguilón para ver si
hay puntos sueltos, señas de inestabilidad, o salida de
flúido hidráulico. Si se observa que está bajo, agregue
aceite en la medida que sea necesario.Esta unidad está
diseñada solo para mover motores. NO INTENTE usarla
para elevar otros equipos pesados.
Revisar Peso
La capacidad máxima de peso son 2 TONELADAS.
Siempre revise el peso del motor y compárelo con la
capacidad de la unidad. NUNCA EXCEDA EL LIMITE DE
PESO o puede haber pérdida de carge.
Revisar Area de Trabajo
Inspeccione visualmente la superficie del piso antes de
usar. Asegúrese que sea el piso duro, liso. y libre de
grietas u obstrucciones que pudieran dificultar el
movimiento del malacate
