Battery Safety
Warning:
• Batteries can explode or leak and can cause injury or fire. To
reduce this risk:
ALWAYS follow all instructions and warnings on the battery
label and package.
DO NOT short any battery terminals
DO NOT charge alkaline batteries.
DO NOT mix old and new batteries. Replace all of them at the
same time with new batteries of the same brand and type.
DO NOT mix battery chemistries.
DO NOT dispose of batteries in fire.
ALWAYS keep batteries out of reach of children.
ALWAYS remove batteries if the device will not be used for
several months.
NOTE:
• Ensure that the correct batteries as recommended are used.
• Ensure the batteries are inserted in the correct manner,
with the correct polarity.
End of Life
DO NOT dispose of this product with household waste.
ALWAYS dispose of batteries per local code.
PLEASE RECYCLE in line with local provisions for the collection
and disposal of electrical and electronic waste under the WEEE

Maintenance and Care
• Level is not waterproof.
DO NOT allow to get wet. Damage to internal circuits may result.
DO NOT leave level in direct sunlight or expose it to high
temperatures. The housing and some internal parts are made of
plastic and may become deformed at high temperatures.
DO NOT store the level in a cold environment. Moisture may form
on interior parts when warming up. This moisture could cause
corrosion of internal circuit boards.
NOTE: When working in dusty locations, some dirt may collect on
the display. Remove any moisture or dirt with a soft, dry cloth.
DO NOT use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents.

Functions:
1. To turn the tool electronic functions on, press the On/Off button
for 1 to 2 seconds. The level vials will light up and the tool will
beep once to indicate that its electronic functions are ready to
use.
2. To turn the electronic functions off, press and release the On/Off
button.
Horizontal level operation (0°)
1. When the level is placed on a horizontal surface, and determines
the surface to be perfectly level between 0° and 0.1° from level),
the top vial will light solid GREEN and the tool will beep 3 times.
2. If the surface is slightly off-horizontal (= between 0.1° and 0.5°
from level), which is acceptable for most applications, the top
vial will flash GREEN continuously.
3. If the surface is not acceptably horizontal (more than 0.5° from
level), the top vial will light up solid RED.
Diagonal level operation (45°)
1. When the level is placed on a surface to determine a diagonal
surface (45 0.2°), the diagonal vial (right of On/Off button)
will light solid GREEN and the tool will beep 3 times.
2. If the surface is slightly off-diagonal (= between 0.2° and 0.5°
from 45°), which is acceptable for most applications, the
diagonal vial will flash GREEN continuously.
3. If the surface is not acceptably diagonal (more than 0.5° from
45°), the diagonal vial will light up solid RED.

Vertical level operation (90°)
1. When the level is placed on a surface to determine a vertical
surface (90 0.1°), the vertical vial (left of On/Off button) will
light solid GREEN and the tool will beep 3 times.
2. If the surface is slightly off-vertical (= between 0.1° and 0.5°
from 90°), which is acceptable for most applications, the
vertical vial will flash GREEN continuously.
3. If the surface is not acceptably vertical (more than 0.5° from
90°), the vertical vial will light up solid RED.
Sleep Function
When the level is idle for 60 seconds all of the electronic functions
automatically turn off. Press the On/Off button for 1 to 2 seconds
to turn electronic functions back on.
Low Battery Power Indication
When battery power falls below what is needed for proper tool
electronic functionality, the top vial will flicker RED to indicate that
the batteries need to be replaced.
Level Calibration
The level has been calibrated at the factory prior to shipment.
However, circumstances such as the process of shipping and
handling, or dropping the level onto a hard surface, may cause it
to fall out of calibration. To recalibrate the level, perform the
following procedure.
Note: The calibration shall be operated on horizontal platform.

1. With the electronic functions turned off, place the level on a
horizontal surface where the bubble in the top vial is perfectly
centered. (FIG 1)
2. Press the On/Off button so that the tool beeps 3 times and the
top vial turns solid Green.
3. Press and hold the On/Off button approximately 5 seconds until
the top vial flashes RED and beeps once.
4. Turn level upside down and rest it on the same horizontal
surface. Wait for light to turn solid Green and beep 3 times.

5. Turn level right side up and rest on the same surface. The light
will remain solid Green and the tool will beep 3 times. The level
is now correctly calibrated for horizontal, diagonal and vertical
operation.
Note: If the level is not calibrated correctly, the tool will continue
beeping, and the calibration procedure must be repeated.

deficiencies in materials and /or workmanship for two years from
date of purchase WITH PROOF of SALE.
This Warranty does not cover deficiencies caused by accidental
damage, wear and tear, use other than in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions or repair or alteration of this product
not authorized by MOTORHEAD.
Repair or replacement under this Warranty does not affect the
expiry date of the Warranty. To the extent permitted by law,
MOTORHEAD shall not be liable under this Warranty for indirect
or consequential loss resulting from deficiencies in this product.
This Warranty may not be varied without the authorization of
MOTORHEAD.
This Warranty does not affect the statutory rights of consumer
purchasers of this product. This Warranty shall be governed by
and construed in accordance with the laws of the country sold
where in and MOTORHEAD and the purchaser each irrevocably
agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that
country over any claim or matter arising under or in connection
with this Warranty.
