andtheheatsinktoenhanceheatdissipation.
ReplaceingtheCPU
WhilereplacingtheCPU,alwaysturnoff the ATXpowersupplyorunplug the
powersupply spowercordfromthegrounded outletfirsttoensurethe safetyof
CPU.
Overclocking
Thismainboardisdesignedtosupportoverclocking.However,pleasemake
sureyourcomponentsareabletotoleratesuchabnormalsetting, whiledoing
overclocking.Anyattempttooperatebeyond productspecificationsisnot
recommended. We donotguarantee thedamages orrisks causedbyinad-
equateoperationorbeyond productspecifications.
The mainboardsupportsIntel®processor.ThemainboardusesaCPUsocketcalled
Socket775 foreasyCPUinstallation.Ifyou do not havetheCPUcooler,consultyour
dealerbeforeturningonthe computer.

1.TheCPUsockethasaplasticcap onittoprotectthecontactfrom
damage.Beforeyou haveinstalled the CPU,alwayscoverit topro-
tectthesocketpin.
2.Removethecapfromleverhinge side.
3.The pinsofsocketreveal.
4.Openthe loadlever.
5.Liftthe load leverup andopenthe load plate.
6.Afterconfirming theCPUdirectionforcorrectmating,putdownthe
CPUinthesockethousingframe.Besuretograspontheedge ofthe
CPUbase.Notethatthe alignmentkeys arematched.
7.Visuallyinspectifthe CPUisseatedwellintothesocket. Ifnot, take
outtheCPUwithpureverticalmotionandreinstall.
8.Covertheloadplateontothepackage.
9.Press downtheloadleverlightlyontotheloadplate,and then
securetheleverwiththehookunderretentiontab.
10.Aligntheholeson the mainboardwiththe cooler.Pushdownthe
cooleruntil itsfourclipsgetwedgedintotheholesofthemainboard.
11.Press thefourhooks downtofastenthecooler.Thenrotatethe
locking switch(refertothecorrectdirectionmarkedonit)tolockthe
hooks.
12.Turnoverthemainboardtoconfirmthattheclip-endsarecorrectly
inserted.

Installing Memory Modules
1.The memorymodulehasonlyone notchonthecenterandwillonlyfitinthe right
orientation.
2.Insertthe memorymoduleverticallyintothe DIMMslot. Thenpushitinuntilthe
goldenfingeronthememorymoduleisdeeplyinsertedintheDIMM slot. Theplastic
clipat eachsideoftheDIMM slotwill automaticallyclosewhenthememorymodule
isproperlyseated.
3.Manuallycheck ifthememorymodulehasbeenlocked inplacebytheDIMMslot
clipsatthesides.
Important
Youcan barelysee the golden fingerif the memorymoduleisproperlyinserted in
theDIMMslot.
Important
-DDR2memorymodulesarenotinterchangeable withDDRandtheDDR2
standardisnotbackwardscompatible.You shouldalways install DDR2
memorymodulesinthe DDR2DIMM slots.
-InDual-Channelmode,makesurethatyouinstall memorymodulesof the
sametypeand density in different channelDIMM slots.
-Toenable successful systemboot-up,alwaysinsertthememorymodules
intothe DIMM1first.
