GENERAL INFORMATION
The moisture meter you just acquired is worldwide renowned and a benchmark
for moisture readings for grain and by-products in United States, Canada and
Latin America.
Unique system and manufactured to avoid and not allow results manipulation.
The commodity charts of the equipment were certified by the NTEP (National
Type Evaluation Program), a program recognized by the USDA as a standards
regulator for commercial transactions. These charts are stored in the software of
each equipment and easily located by name and product. The moisture reading
results are extremely reliable with a great repeatability.
Developed for quick and accurate results, your moisture meter has an user-
friendly interface, easy to use with a full color touchscreen, which makes the user
experience easy and intuitive.
With a resistant design, your moisture tester is ready for intense use for a
production line and in processes such as: drying, inspection and handling,
receiving and processing the most varied types of grains products and
by-products.
The equipment is available in the following languages: Portuguese, English,
Spanish, Italian, German and French.

SAFETY INFORMATION
DANGER
• Do not install this equipment exposed to weather conditions.
• Do not repair or replace any parts.
• Do not break the warranty seal or open the equipment. This action
may damage the equipment; if the warranty seal is damaged the
warranty will be terminated.
• If you have any questions or problems, call our Customer Support.
CAUTION
Plug the power supply into a 100-240 VAC, 50-60Hz and 10A.
• Do not use extensions or connectors; it may cause overloading in
the electrical installation.
• Make sure the outlet has the right voltage and frequency for the
proper equipment operation.
Remove foreign substances, such as dust or water from the contacts
points using a dry cloth.
• Disconnect the plug and clean it with a dry cloth.
Connect the plug to the outlet so that the cord extends toward the
floor.
• Be sure the power cord is not twisted, kinked or crimped to
prevent possible internal wire damage and electrical shock and/
or fire.
• Do not hang or drape the power cord over or on top of the
equipment.
• Do not pull or bend the power cord with excessive strength.
• Do not twist or tie the power cord.
Do not touch the charger with wet hands.
• This may cause electric shock.

Always unplug the product holding the charger firmly and pulling out
from the outlet.
• Damage to the power cord may cause electric shock or fire.
Do not modify the charger supplied with the equipment.
Do not allow liquids to come into contact with electrical parts of the
equipment.
Use care when handling the equipment.
• Any misuse, such as dropping, tossing or throwing, can potentially
damage the load cell.
During the measurement, do not move the equipment.
Avoid using cell phone, radio or other radio-frequency products near
the equipment during the measurement. It may affect the accuracy of
the reading.
Do not use sharp objects to interact with the touchscreen display.
• Using sharp objects can damage the display, it is considered
misuse, and the warranty will be terminated.
• It is recommended to use finger touch or non-tipped objects on
the display.
• The display recognizes the press of a finger even with gloves.
• The display does not support multi-touch.

MAIN COMPONENTS
DUMP CELL
It is where the operator pours the sample in. A
mechanism made of two wings, it holds/releases
the sample into the grain cell.
GRAIN CELL
After receiving the sample from the dump
cell, the grain cell is responsible for measuring
the sample moisture and temperature. The
grain cell shape compensates the sample
compaction and superficial moisture.

SETUP
INSTALLATION GUIDANCE
• Place the moisture tester on a flat, firm and vibration free surface.
• Connect the power cord on the outlet.
• Connect the power cord plug in the equipment.
• Before starts, place the grain cell and connect with the four pins on the
moisture meter.

SERIAL COMMUNICATION
The instrument is equipped with an internal RS-232 module. To connect it to
your PC, please use an USB cable (see figure below). It is necessary to install the
module driver, which you can find at the website (see below).
To install the module serial driver:
• Access and download the driver at www.motomco.com.br/downloads
• Follow the instruction on the computer screen after you connect the cable.

FIRST TIME START UP
When you turn on the equipment for the first time, you can select the preferences.
This will be the only time you need to enter this information, as follows:
1. Choose your language
2. User Name
3. Company Name
4. Commodity Selection
5. Acceptance of the use terms
6. Self-Test
7. Grain Chart Calibration Selection
If needed the items 1, 4 and 7 can easily be changed by accessing the SETTINGS
option. In addition, the item 2 can be changed on the second time you turn on
the equipment.
STARTUP PROCESS
• Make sure that the equipment is
installed in accordance with this
document.
• Place the grain cell on the equipment.
• Press and hold the ON/OFF button for
3 seconds.
• You will hear two beeps.

CHOOSE YOUR LANGUAGE
Turn on the equipment. At the very first power
up, it asks the user to choose the desired
language.
• Touch in the language and the option will
be highlighted in yellow.
• Press NEXT to set as system language.
USER NAME
• Type the user name.
• Press SAVE.
• Press NEXT.
In the event of typo, press DELETE to erase the
characters.
COMPANY NAME
• Type the company name.
• Press SAVE.
• Check the name and press NEXT.
• This info will be printed on the ticket and will
be sent by the DB9/USB port.
It is important to correctly inform the name of
the company. Only the authorized technical
assistance can correct or alter the name.

CHARTS STANDARD SELECTION
To Select the charts standard:
• Tap your choice. The selected option will be
highlighted in yellow.
• Press NEXT to set it.
TERMS OF USE
• Navigate the text using the side scroll bar.
• Press the check box to accept the terms.
• Press NEXT.
SELF TEST
This step checks all the components and
parameters of the software, for a proper
operation.

If the equipment requires, follow this steps:
• Place the empty dump cell on the grain cell.
• Press OK.
• Remove the dump cell.
• Press OK.
CHART SELECTION
Select the Grain Chart Calibration.
• Choose the commodity by pressing on the
grain icon.
• Select the Grain chart pressing on the name
of the chart.
This completes the startup process and the
equipment is ready for use.
The device returns to the HOME screen.

QUICK GUIDE
1. Make sure the equipment is on a flat, firm and
vibration free surface.
2. Press the power button on the equipment for
3 seconds.
3. Select the user.
4. Place the dump cell inside a proper container
like a tray, and overfill it with the sample you
want to measure the moisture. With a ruler or
straight edge, remove the excess. The level
of the grain sample in the dump cell must be
done in a constant and controlled way.
5. Place the dump cell on top of the grain cell.
6. Dump the sample into the grain cell and
remove the dump cell.
7. The moisture result appears on the screen. If
needed or desired, remove the sample and
repeat the process from step 4.

SELECTING THE USER
This is the first screen of the equipment.
• Press to use the same user name..
• Press to replace the user name.
• This button is only for technician access.
The machine stores only the last user name.
SELF-TEST
• If the equipment requires it, follow the
instructions on page 15 of this manual.
• If an error occurs, please, restart the
process, pressing the TRY AGAIN button.
DAILY USE
With only two steps, the second time your turn the equipment on, will be faster
and shorter:
1. Select the user
2. Self-Test

This is the home screen.
If needed, you can add the sample number or
name and license plate by pressing the icon
.
• Type the sample number and press NEXT.
• Type the license plate and press SAVE.
• You will notice the icon will disappear,
indicating that the information was saved.
For each measure it is necessary to insert the
info again. To remove or change, leave the
HOME screen by clicking , or .
SAMPLE ANALYSIS
Follow this steps to do the moisture reading:
• Place the dump cell in an appropriate
container, like a tray.
• Fill the dump cell with the grain sample,
until overflow.
• With a straight edge, like a ruler, remove
the excess.
• Place the dump cell on top of the grain cell.
• Dump the sample into the grain cell.
• Immediately remove the empty dump cell.
After the procedure, the equipment displays
the reading on the RESULT SCREEN.
STARTING

The moisture results shows on the screen. To repeat the process, remove the
sample from the grain cell. Automatically, the equipment returns to the HOME
SCREEN. If a flash drive is connected, the result will be saved in his memory,
automatically.
