Safety Symbols
This table depicts and describes safety symbols that may appear on this product. Read, understand and follow all instructions on the tractor before attempting to assemble and operate.

General Operation
1. Read, understand and follow all instructions on your equipment and in their manuals before
attempting to assemble and operate. Keep this manual in a safe place for future and regular
reference and for ordering replacement parts.
2. To help avoid blade contact or a thrown object injury, keep bystanders, helpers, children
and pets at least 75 feet from the tractor while it is in operation. Stop tractor if anyone
enters the area.
3. Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be used. Remove all stones, sticks,
wire, bones, toys and other foreign objects which could be picked up and thrown by the
blade(s). Thrown objects can cause serious personal injury.
4. Always wear safety glasses or safety goggles during operation and while performing an
adjustment or repair to protect your eyes. Thrown objects which ricochet can cause serious
injury to the eyes.
5. Do not operate the tractor without the discharge cover or entire grass catcher in its proper
place. A missing or damaged discharge cover or grass bag attachment component may result
in thrown objects or blade contact injuries.
6. Do not put hands or feet near rotating parts or under the cutting deck. Contact with the
blade(s) can amputate hands and feet.
7. Shut off tractor’s engine and wait for blades to come to a complete stop before unclogging
tractor’s discharge opening or bagger parts.
8. Slow down before turning. Operate the tractor smoothly. Avoid erratic operation and
excessive speed. Be aware that a grass catcher attachment can affect the handling
characteristics of your tractor.
9. Disengage blade(s), set parking brake, stop engine and wait until the blade(s) come to a
complete stop before opening bagger attachment’s top cover, removing grass catcher,
emptying grass, unclogging chute, removing any grass or debris or making any adjustments.
Never leave a running tractor unattended. Always turn off blade(s), place transmission in
neutral, set parking brake, stop engine and remove key before dismounting.
10. Your tractor is designed to cut normal residential grass. Do not attempt to mow through
unusually tall, dry grass (e.g., pasture) or piles of dry leaves. Dry grass or leaves may contact
the engine exhaust and/or build up on the tractor deck presenting a potential fire hazard.
11. If situations occur which are not covered in this manual, use care and good judgment.
Contact your customer service representative for assistance.
Slope Operation
Slopes are a major factor related to loss of control and tip-over accidents which can result in severe
injury or death. Attachments can also affect the stability of the tractor. All slopes require extra
caution.
For your safety, use the slope gauge included as part of this manual to estimate the angle of slopes
before operating this tractor on a sloped or hilly area. If the slope is greater than 10 degrees or 17
percent as shown on the slope gauge, do not operate the tractor with the grass bag attachment
installed on that area or serious injury could result.
Do:
1. Mow up and down slopes, not across. Exercise extreme caution when changing direction
on slopes.
2. Watch for holes, ruts, bumps, rocks or other hidden objects. Uneven terrain could overturn
the tractor. Tall grass can hide obstacles.
3. Use slow speed. Choose a low enough speed setting so that you will not have to stop or shift
while on the slope. Tires may lose traction on slopes even though the brakes are functioning
properly. Always keep tractor in gear when going down slopes to take advantage of engine
braking action.
4. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for wheel weights or counterweights to
improve stability. Keep all movement on the slopes slow and gradual. Do not make sudden
changes in speed or direction. Rapid engagement or braking could cause the front of the
tractor to lift and rapidly flip over backwards which could cause serious injury.
5. Avoid starting or stopping on a slope. If tires lose traction, disengage the blade(s) and
proceed slowly straight down the slope.
Do Not:
1. Do not turn on slopes unless necessary; then, turn slowly and gradually downhill, if possible.
2. Do not mow near drop-offs, ditches or embankments. The tractor could suddenly turn over if
a wheel is over the edge of a cliff, ditch or if an edge caves in.
3. Do not try to stabilize the tractor by putting your foot on the ground.
4. Do not use a grass catcher on steep slopes.
5. Do not mow on wet grass. Reduced traction could cause sliding.
General Service
1. Before cleaning, repairing or inspecting, make certain the blade(s) and all moving parts
have stopped. Disconnect the spark plug wire and ground against the engine to prevent
unintended starting.
2. Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.
3. Never tamper with your tractor’s safety interlock system or other safety devices. Check their
proper operation regularly.
4. Never attempt to make adjustments or repairs while the tractor’s engine is running.
5. Grass catcher components and the discharge cover are subject to wear and damage which
could expose moving parts or allow objects to be thrown. For safety protection, frequently
check components and replace immediately with original equipment manufacturer’s
(O.E.M.) parts only, listed in this manual. Use of parts which do not meet the original
equipment specifications may lead to improper performance and compromise safety!
6. Maintain or replace safety and instruction labels, as necessary.

IF A SLOPE IS TOO STEEP FOR SAFE OPERATION!
To check the slope, proceed as follows: 1. Remove this page and fold along the dashed line. 2. Locate a vertical object on or behind the slope (e.g. a pole, building, fence, tree, etc.) 3. Align either side of the slope gauge with the object (See Figure 1 and Figure 2 ). 4. Adjust gauge up or down until the left corner touches the slope (See Figure 1 and Figure 2). 5. If there is a gap below the gauge, the slope is too steep for safe operation (See Figure 2 above).

All slopes require extra caution. If you cannot back up the slope or if you feel uneasy on it, do not mow it. Always mow up and down slopes, never across the face of slopes.

NOTE: It might be easier during the mounting stage to leave this hardware only finger
tight to facilitate lining up the hitch hole for the clevis pin. You will be instructed to
tighten this hardware later in this manual.
NOTE: The holes closest to the
mounting hooks are to be used for
all 700 series model tractors, see
Figure 4 (1), while the two holes
closest to the cross mount are for all
other models, see Figure 4 (2). The
hitch support bracket will need
to be flipped to enable alignment
of the proper holes depending on
the model of tractor this bagger is
being installed on.
Mounting Assembly on 700
Series Tractors
1. Place the hooked ends of the
mounting assembly over the
shoulder bolts on the mounting
brackets previously installed on the
tractor and line up the hitch support
bracket center hole with the hole on
the tractor’s hitch. See Figure 5.
2. Install the clevis pin (711-0309A)
from hardware pack 689-02364 into
the tractor’s hitch and secure with a
cotter pin (714-0117). See Figure 6.
3. Install two clevis pins through the
mounting assembly and secure to
the 700 series mounting brackets
installed earlier with cotter pins
provided in the hardware pack.
See Figure 6.
NOTE: The clevis pin can be fed down
through the hitch plate and secured
underneath with the cotter pin, or it may
be easier to feed the clevis pin up through
the hitch plate hole and secure with the cotter pin on the topside. Insert the cotter pin into
the top hole, closest to the head of the pin. You may need to push up on the pin to make the
hole accessible.
IMPORTANT: If you decided to leave the hitch support only finger tight during the assembly
process, tighten all of the hardware securely at this time.
Mount Assembly on
All Other Tractors
1. Place the hooked ends of the
mounting assembly over the shoulder
bolts on the back of the tractor frame
and line up the hitch support bracket
center hole with the hole on the
tractor’s hitch. See Figure 7.

NOTE: References to left, right, front and rear of the tractor are from the operator’s position,
unless otherwise stated.
• Before assembly, place the tractor on a firm, level surface, disengage the PTO, stop the
tractor engine and set the parking brake.
• For convenience, pivot the seat forward and leave it in that position until the grass
collector is fully mounted and assembled.
700 Series Tractors Only
If you are assembling this bagger unit for use on any 700 series model tractor you will need
to install the two tractor mounting brackets packed in your bagger kit. If you are installing
this bagger unit on any other tractor, disregard these steps and continue to Assemble
Mounting Brackets.
To install thes brackets on a 700 series model tractor, follow these steps:
1. If not already installed by the
factory, install a shoulder bolt
from the 700 Series Mount Kit
(689-00086A) hardware pack on
each bracket, securing them with
flange lock nuts also included in the
hardware pack. Refer to Figure 1.
2. Insert the clevis pins from your
hardware pack on each bracket,
securing them with cotter pins also
included in the hardware pack.
Refer to Figure 1.
3. Mount the 700 series tractor
mounting brackets to your
tractor using four self-tapping
hex screws included with
your kit. See Figure 2.
Assemble Mounting
Brackets
To assemble the universal mounting
assembly, locate the rider hitch bracket
assembly (689-00304A) and the universal
support bracket (783-08129) and follow
these steps:
1. Attach the two hitch side brackets
to the rear support bracket (rider
hitch bracket assembly 689-00304A)
using two carriage bolts (710-0276)
and wing knobs (720-04122) from
hardware pack 689-02364. See
Figure 3.
NOTE: The hooks on the side
brackets should point downwards
and the tabs on the rear plate point
upwards as shown in Figure 3.
2. Flip over the assembly and mount
the hitch support bracket to
the universal support bracket
(783-08129) using two carriage
bolts (710-0276) and wing knobs
(720-04122) from hardware pack
689-02364. See Figure 4 (1).

the 700 series mounting brackets
installed earlier with cotter pins
provided in the hardware pack.
See Figure 6.
NOTE: The clevis pin can be fed down
through the hitch plate and secured
underneath with the cotter pin, or it may
be easier to feed the clevis pin up through
the hitch plate hole and secure with the cotter pin on the topside. Insert the cotter pin into
the top hole, closest to the head of the pin. You may need to push up on the pin to make the
hole accessible.
IMPORTANT: If you decided to leave the hitch support only finger tight during the assembly
process, tighten all of the hardware securely at this time.
Mount Assembly on
All Other Tractors
1. Place the hooked ends of the
mounting assembly over the shoulder
bolts on the back of the tractor frame
and line up the hitch support bracket
center hole with the hole on the
tractor’s hitch. See Figure 7.

3. If not already done so by the
factory, install the bagger screen
(731-06504) into the bagger cover
(631-04292) by first inserting the
end closest to the side with the
cutout (1) into the mounting hole,
as in Figure 13.
4. Make sure to feed the screen under
the lip. Clip in the other side by
pushing the screen into the
provided cutout (2). See Figure 14.
5. Install the bagger cover onto the
hanger assembly. The cover goes
inside of the two mounting tabs.
See Figure 15.
6. Slide the hinge pin (711-04988) into
the hole located on the mounting
tab, as in Figure 16. Use the cut-out
window (See inset, Figure 16) to
line up the hinge pin on the other
side and push pin all the way in
until it reaches the end-stop. At this
point the pin clips into place and
is secured by a tab in the bagger
cover. See Figure 17.
7. Open the hood by pushing in on the
rear, right-side tab with your right
hand, as seen in (1), and lifting the
cover with your left hand in the
center rear of the bagger cover (2).
See Figure 18.
8. Install both bag assemblies (664-05104) onto the hanger assembly rail by inserting
the front edge in first (1) and setting the back edge down until it fits into the
assembly (2). See Figure 19.

2. Install the clevis pin (710-0309A) from
hardware pack 689-02364 into the
tractor’s hitch and secure with the
cotter pin (714-0117). See Figure 8.
NOTE: The clevis pin can be fed down
through the hitch plate and secured
underneath with the cotter pin, or it may
be easier to feed the clevis pin up through
the hitch plate hole and secure with the
cotter pin on the topside. The latter
method may be preferred since it can be
easier to insert the cotter pin. Either way
will work, the decision should be based on
operator preference.
Install the Vertical Bagger Support
1. Install the vertical bagger support
(683-04519C) onto the mounting
assembly on the tractor by hooking
it over the cross mounting bracket as
seen in Figure 9.
2. Align the vertical bagger support
with the mounting hole that best
suits the deck size of your tractor. See
Figure 9.
NOTE: Hole “A” is suggested
for 38” decks, while Hole “B” is
suggested for 42” decks, and Hole
“C” suggested for 46” decks. Some
kits may contain plates with deck size
suggestions instead of letters.
3. Secure the vertical bagger support to
the cross mounting bracket using a
carriage bolt (710-0276) and wing
knob (720-04122) from hardware
pack 689-02364. See Figure 10.
Install Hanger Assembly
1. Install and secure the hanger
assembly (683-04461C) onto the
vertical bagger support using two
carriage bolts (710-0276), two cup
washers (736-0242) and two lock
nuts (712-04063) from hardware
pack 689-02364. See Figure 11.
Assembling Remaining
Bagger Components
1. Snap the upper chute support
(731-06497) in place by first
clipping the side portion onto the
hanger assembly rail (1), as shown
in Figure 12.
2. Snap the front side of the upper
chute support to the rail (2), as
shown in Figure 12.

Install the Discharge Chute Elbow & Boot Hardware
1. Install the rubber chute strap (723-04008A) onto the discharge chute elbow using
clevis pin (711-05063), washer (736-0204) and bow-tie cotter pin (714-04040) from
hardware pack 689-02201. See Figure 20.
2. Install the ball pin (711-04069) from hardware pack 689-02201 into the hole in the
front of the mower deck, and secure with the included flange lock nut (712-04064).
See Figure 21.
3. With the tractor’s discharge chute raised up and held open, install the discharge chute
elbow over the chute opening by placing the top, rear edge of the discharge chute
elbow over the rear of the deck opening, then pivoting the discharge chute elbow down
and over the chute opening. See Figure 22.
NOTE: For the discharge chute elbow to be properly installed, the bottom edge must
fall over the bottom of the deck opening so that the entire deck opening is covered by
the chute elbow. See Figure 23.
4. Secure the discharge chute elbow to the tractor’s deck by hooking the chute strap onto
the ball pin installed earlier on the deck. See Figure 24.
5. Install the chute tube extension onto the discharge chute elbow by lining up the tabs
and sliding the adapter over the discharge chute elbow. Secure the chute adapter by
installing the two ratchet clips (726-3046) included in hardware pack 689-02201 in the
holes provided. See Figure 25.
NOTE: Check the upper chute tube (631-04291A) for a cardboard insert installed for
shipping purposes. If the insert is present, remove it before continuing with Step 6.
6. Peel the backing off of the self-adhesive foam strip (721-04388) that has been included
with your bagging attachment. Apply it to the upper chute tube, flush against the
flange as shown in Figure 26.
7. With the bagger cover open, install the upper chute tube over the chute tube extension,
and rest the top so that the chute support sits in the upper chute support groove. See
Figure 27.
NOTE: Make sure to align the upper chute tube with the ridges on the bagger
support bracket.

Bagger Usage
NOTE: To ensure longevity and reliable performance do not allow grass bags to fill over the
edge of the rim before emptying.
NOTE: When both grass bags are full, place the tractor on a firm, level surface, disengage
the PTO, turn the tractor engine off and set the parking brake.
1. Flip seat up.
2. Open the bagger cover by pushing in on the rear, right-side tab with your
right hand, as seen in (1) of Figure 28, and lifting the cover with your left
hand in the center rear of the bagger cover (2). Do not remove the chute tube
assembly from the tractor.
3. Remove the grass bags by lifting up, (1) in Figure 29, and moving the bags
away from the bag support assembly (2).
4. Empty the grass clippings at a proper disposal site, use the handle at the
bottom of each grass bag. Holding the bag firmly, empty the contents.
5. Replace the grass bags in the reverse order. Close the lid, pivot the seat
down, restart your tractor and resume cutting your grass.
NOTE: Retighten all wing knobs periodically throughout the season.

the warranty, the exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of

and exclusive remedy arising from the sale. MTD shall not
be liable for incidental or consequential loss or damage

or replacement lawn care services or for rental expenses to

Funcionamiento general
1. Lea, comprenda y respete todas las instrucciones que figuran en el equipo y en los manuales antes de
intentar armarlo y hacerlo funcionar. Guarde este manual en un lugar seguro para consultas futuras y
periódicas, así como para solicitar repuestos.
2. Para ayudar a evitar una lesión por contacto con las cuchillas o con un objeto que sea arrojado,
mantenga a los observadores, a los ayudantes, a niños y mascotas alejados a no menos de 75 pies de la
cortadora mientras está funcionando. Pare la tractora si alguien ingresa a la zona.
3. Revise minuciosamente el área donde se va a usar el equipo. Saque todas las piedras, palos, cables,
huesos, juguetes y demás objetos extraños que puedan ser recogidos y arrojados por las cuchilla(s). Los
objetos arrojados por la tractora pueden producir lesiones personales graves.
4. Para protegerse los ojos, utilice siempre anteojos o antiparras de seguridad durante la operación o
mientras realiza ajustes o reparaciones. Los objetos arrojados que rebotan pueden producir lesiones
graves en los ojos.
5. Nunca opere la cortadora de césped si no está bien colocada la cubierta de descarga o el colector de
césped completo. Si falta la cubierta de descarga o está dañada o un componente del accesorio de
embolsadora falta, se pueden producir lesiones por contacto con la cuchilla o con objetos arrojados.
6. No ponga las manos ni los pies cerca de las piezas rotatorias ni debajo de la plataforma de corte. El
contacto con las cuchilla(s) puede amputar manos y pies.
7. Apague el motor de la cortadora de césped y espere que las cuchillas se detengan totalmente antes de
desbloquear la abertura de descarga de la cortadora o las piezas de la embolsadora.
8. Reduzca la velocidad antes de girar. Haga funcionar la tractora de manera uniforme. Evite que funcione
de manera errática y a excesiva velocidad. Tenga en cuenta que el accesorio colector de césped puede
afectar las características de manejo de su cortadora.
9. Desenganche la o las cuchilla(s), coloque el freno de mano, detenga el motor y espere hasta que las
cuchillas se detengan totalmente antes de abrir la cubierta superior del accesorio embolsador, sacar
el colector de césped, vaciar los recortes, desbloquear el canal, retirar cualquier residuo o desecho
o realizar cualquier ajuste. Nunca deje la tractora encendida sin atención. Siempre desconecte las
cuchillas, ponga la transmisión en punto muerto, ponga el freno de mano, detenga el motor y retire la
llave antes de bajarse del vehículo.
10. Su tractora está diseñada para cortar césped residencial normal. No intente cortar césped demasiado
crecido, seco (como un pastizal) ni pilas de hojas secas. El césped o las hojas secas pueden entrar en
contacto con el escape del motor y/o acumularse en la plataforma de corte presentando un potencial
peligro de incendio.
11. Si se presentan situaciones que no están previstas en este manual, tenga cuidado y use el sentido
común. Póngase en contacto con su representante de atención al cliente para obtener ayuda.
Operación en pendientes
Las pendientes son un factor importante en los accidentes ocasionados por pérdida de control y vuelcos que
pueden causar lesiones graves e incluso la muerte. Los accesorios también pueden afectar la estabilidad de la
tractora. Todas las pendientes requieren precaución extra.
Para su seguridad, use el medidor de pendientes que se incluye como parte de este manual para calcular el
ángulo de las pendientes antes de hacer funcionar la tractora en una zona accidentada. Si la pendiente aparece
como mayor de 10 grados o 17 porcentaje en el medidor, no haga funcionar la cortadora con el accesorio para
bolsas de césped en ese sector, pues podría causar lesiones graves.
Si:
1. Corte hacia arriba y abajo de las pendientes, no en forma transversal. Tenga sumo cuidado al cambiar
de dirección en una pendiente.
2. Esté atento a los hoyos, surcos, baches, rocas, u otros objetos ocultos. El terreno desnivelado puede
voltear la tractora. El césped alto puede ocultar obstáculos.
3. Conduzca a baja velocidad. Seleccione una velocidad lo suficientemente baja como para que no necesite
detenerse o cambiar de marcha estando en pendiente. Los neumáticos pueden perder tracción en las
pendientes aun cuando los frenos funcionen correctamente. Siempre mantenga la tractora en cambio
mientras desciende una pendiente para poder frenar con el motor.
4. Siga las recomendaciones del fabricante sobre los pesos o contrapesos de las ruedas para mejorar la
estabilidad. Haga que todos los movimientos en las pendientes sean lentos y graduales. No realice
cambios bruscos de velocidad o dirección. Hacer un cambio o frenar repentinamente puede hacer que el
frente de la tractora se levante y vuelque rápidamente hacia atrás dando lugar a lesiones graves.
5. Evite arrancar o detenerse en una pendiente. Si las ruedas pierden tracción, desacople las cuchillas y
descienda la pendiente lentamente.
No:
1. No gire en pendiente a menos que sea necesario; si lo hace, gire lenta y gradualmente cuesta abajo, si
es posible.
2. No corte el césped cerca de barrancos, zanjas o terraplenes. La cortadora puede volcarse
repentinamente si una de las ruedas pasa el borde de un acantilado o zanja o si se desmorona un borde.
3. No intente estabilizar la tractora poniendo el pie en el suelo.
4. No utilice colector de césped en pendientes empinadas.
5. No corte el césped húmedo. La falta de tracción puede hacer que patine.
Servicio general
1. Antes de limpiar, reparar o inspeccionar la tractora, compruebe que la(s) cuchilla(s) y todas las piezas
móviles se hayan detenido. Desconecte el cable de la bujía y póngalo haciendo tierra contra el motor
para evitar que se encienda accidentalmente.
2. Mantenga todos los pernos, tuercas y tornillos bien ajustados para asegurarse que la tractora se
encuentra en condiciones seguras de operación.
3. Nunca intente violar el sistema de bloqueo de seguridad u otros mecanismos de seguridad de la
cortadora. Compruebe regularmente que estos elementos funcionen correctamente.
4. No intente nunca hacer ajustes o reparaciones a la cortadora mientras el motor está en marcha.
5. Los componentes del colector de césped y la cubierta de descarga están sujetos a desgaste y daños

NOTA: Durante la etapa de montaje
podría resultar más fácil dejar este
herraje ajustado solo a mano para
facilitar el alineamiento del orificio de
enganche para el pasador de horquilla.
Más adelante en el manual se le indicará
que ajuste este herraje.
NOTA: Los orificios más cercanos a los
ganchos de montaje deben utilizarse para
todos los tractores de la serie 700, véase la
Figura 4 (1), mientras que los dos orificios
más cercanos al montaje transversal son
para todos los demás modelos, véase la
Figura 4 (2). El soporte del soporte del
enganche deberá girarse para permitir
la alineación de los orificios adecuados
según el modelo de tractor en el que se instale la ensacadora.
Montaje en los tractores de la serie 700
1. Coloque los extremos enganchados
del conjunto de montaje sobre los
pernos de los soportes de montaje
previamente instalados en el tractor
y alinee el orificio central del soporte
del enganche con el orificio del
enganche del tractor. Ver Figura 5.
2. Instale el pasador de horquilla
(711-0309A) del paquete de herrajes
689-02364 en el enganche del
tractor y fije con un sujetador de
horquilla (714-0117). Consulte la
Figura 6.
3. Instale dos pasadores de horquilla a
través del conjunto de montaje y
fíjelos a los soportes de montaje de la
serie 700 instalados anteriormente
con los pasadores de chaveta
suministrados en el paquete de
accesorios. Ver Figura 6.
NOTA: The el pasador de horquilla se
puede introducir a través de la placa

pasador de chaveta, o puede ser más fácil
introducir el pasador de horquilla a través del orificio de la placa de enganche y asegurar

1. Coloque los extremos enganchados

• Antes de armar, coloque el tractor sobre una superficie firme y nivelada, desenganche la
toma de fuerza PTO, detenga el motor del tractor y coloque el freno de mano.
• Para mayor comodidad, rote el asiento hacia adelante y déjelo en esa posición hasta
que el colector de césped esté totalmente armado y montado.
Tractores de la serie 700 solamente
Si está ensamblando esta unidad de ensacado para su uso en cualquier tractor de la serie
700, deberá instalar los dos soportes de montaje del tractor que se incluyen en el kit de
ensacado. Si está instalando esta unidad de ensacado en cualquier otro tractor, ignore estos
pasos y siga ensamblando los soportes de montaje.
Para instalar estos soportes en un tractor de la serie 700, siga estos pasos:
1. Si no se instaló ya de fábrica,
instale un perno con reborde de su
paquete de herrajes en cada soporte,
asegurándolo con las tuercas de
seguridad con brida que también se
incluyeron en el paquete de herrajes
del conjunto del soporte (689-
00086A). Consulte la Figura 1.
2. Si ya está instalado en los soportes,
retire los sujetadores y pasadores
de horquilla y consérvelos para las
instrucciones más adelante. Consulte
la Figura 1.
3. Monte las ménsulas de soporte
del tractor serie 700 a su tractor
con cuatro tornillos hexagonales
autorroscantes incluidos en el kit.

2. Coloque a presión el lado delantero
del soporte del canal superior al
riel (2), como se muestra en la
Figura 12.
3. Si aún no lo ha hecho la fábrica,
instale la rejilla del ensacador (731-
06504) en la tapa del ensacador
(631-04292) insertando primero el
extremo más cercano al lado con el
recorte (1) en el orificio de montaje,
tal como se indica en la Figura 13.
4. Asegúrese de alimentar la pantalla
debajo del labio. Enganche el otro
lado empujando la pantalla en el
recorte previsto (2). Ver Figura 14.
5. Instale la cubierta de la
embolsadora en el conjunto de
soporte de la bolsa. La cubierta
va dentro de las dos lengüetas de
montaje. Consulte la Figura 15.
6. Deslice el pasador de horquilla
(711-04988) en el orificio ubicado
en la lengüeta de montaje, como
se indica en la Figura 16. Use las
ventanas caladas (vea el recuadro
de la Figura 16) para alinear el
pasador de horquilla del otro lado
y empújelo completamente hasta
que llegue al tope. En este punto
el pasador calza en su posición y
queda asegurado por una lengüeta
en la cubierta de la embolsadora.

2. Instale el pasador de horquilla (711-
0309A) del paquete de herrajes 689-
02364 en el enganche del tractor y fije
con un sujetador de horquilla (714-
0117). Consulte la Figura 8.
NOTA: The el pasador de horquilla se
puede introducir a través de la placa

Coloque el soporte vertical de
la embolsadora
1. Coloque el soporte vertical de la
embolsadora (683-04519C) en el
conjunto de montaje del tractor
enganchándolo sobre el soporte de
montaje transversal. Consulte la
Figura 9.
2. Alinee el soporte vertical de la
ensacadora con el orificio de montaje
que mejor se adapte al tamaño de la
cubierta de su tractor. Ver Figura 9.
NOTA: El agujero “A” se sugiere para
cubiertas de 38”, mientras que el
agujero “B” se sugiere para cubiertas
de 42”, y el agujero “C” se sugiere
para cubiertas de 46”. Algunos
kits pueden contener platos con
sugerencias sobre el tamaño de la
cubierta en lugar de letras.
3. Fije el soporte vertical de
embolsadoras al soporte de montaje transversal con un perno de carro (710-0276) y una
perilla de aleta (720-04122) del paquete de herrajes 689-02364. Consulte la Figura 10.
Instale el conjunto
de colgador
1. Coloque y sujete el conjunto del
colgador (683-04461C) en el
soporte vertical de la embolsadora
usando dos pernos de carro
(710-0276), dos arandelas de
cubeta (736-0242) y dos tuercas de
seguridad con brida (712-04063)
del paquete de herrajes 689-02364.

Montaje del resto de los componentes de la embolsadora
1. Coloque a presión el soporte del canal superior (731-06497) en su lugar primero
cortando la porción lateral hacia el riel de soporte de la embolsadora (1) como se

NOTA: Durante la etapa de montaje

herraje ajustado solo a mano para

NOTA: Los orificios más cercanos a los
ganchos de montaje deben utilizarse para
todos los tractores de la serie 700, véase la

más cercanos al montaje transversal son

Figura 4 (2). El soporte del soporte del
enganche deberá girarse para permitir
la alineación de los orificios adecuados

Montaje en los tractores de la serie 700
1. Coloque los extremos enganchados
del conjunto de montaje sobre los
pernos de los soportes de montaje
previamente instalados en el tractor
y alinee el orificio central del soporte
del enganche con el orificio del
enganche del tractor. Ver Figura 5.
2. Instale el pasador de horquilla
(711-0309A) del paquete de herrajes
689-02364 en el enganche del
tractor y fije con un sujetador de
horquilla (714-0117). Consulte la
Figura 6.
3. Instale dos pasadores de horquilla a
través del conjunto de montaje y
fíjelos a los soportes de montaje de la
serie 700 instalados anteriormente
con los pasadores de chaveta
suministrados en el paquete de
accesorios. Ver Figura 6.
NOTA: The el pasador de horquilla se

1. Coloque los extremos enganchados

NOTA: Para que el codo del vertedero
se instale correctamente, el borde
inferior debe caer sobre la parte
inferior de la abertura de la cubierta
de modo que toda la abertura de la
cubierta quede cubierta por el codo del
vertedero. Ver Figura 23.
4. Fije el codo del canal de descarga a la
plataforma del tractor enganchando la
correa del canal en el perno de bola
instalado anteriormente en la
plataforma. Ver Figura 24.
5. Instale la extensión del tubo del
vertedero en el codo del vertedero
alineando las lengüetas y deslizando el
adaptador sobre el codo del vertedero.
Asegure el adaptador del vertedero
instalando las dos abrazaderas de
trinquete (726-3046) incluidas en el
paquete de herrajes 689-02201 en los
orificios provistos. Ver Figura 25.
NOTA: Revise el tubo superior del
vertedero (631-04291A) para ver si hay un
inserto de cartón instalado para fines de envío. Si el
inserto está presente, retírelo antes de continuar con
el paso 6.
6. Retire el respaldo de la tira de espuma autoadhesiva
(721-04388) que se ha incluido con el accesorio de
ensacado. Aplíquelo al tubo superior del vertedero,
enrasado con la brida como se muestra en Figura 26.
7. Con la cubierta de la embolsadora abierta, instale el
canal superior sobre el adaptador, y apoye la parte
superior para que el soporte del canal descanse en la
ranura del canal superior. Vea la Figura 27.
NOTA: Asegúrese de alinear el canal superior con las salientes de la ménsula de
soporte del recolector.

7. Abra la cubierta de la embolsadora empujando hacia adentro la lengüeta posterior
derecha con la mano derecha (1), y levantando la cubierta con la mano izquierda en el
centro de la parte posterior de la cubierta de la embolsadora (2) como se ve en la Figura 18.
8. Coloque ambos conjuntos de bolsas para césped (664-05104) en el riel del conjunto
del colgador insertando primero el borde delantero (1) y luego bajando el borde
posterior hasta que calce en el conjunto (2). Consulte la Figura 19.
Instale el codo de la tolva de descarga y
el hardware de arranque
1. Instale la correa de caucho del vertedero
(723-04008A) en el codo del vertedero de
descarga usando el pasador de horquilla
(711-05063), la arandela (736-0204) y el
pasador de chaveta de la corbata de proa
(714-04040) del paquete de herramientas
689-02201. Ver Figura 20.
2. Instale el pasador esférico (711-04069)
del paquete de herramientas 689-02201
en el orificio de la parte delantera de la
plataforma de la segadora y fíjelo con
la contratuerca de brida incluida (712-
04064). Ver Figura 21.
3. Con el canal de descarga del tractor
levantado y abierto, instale el codo del
canal de descarga sobre la abertura del
canal de descarga colocando el borde
superior posterior del codo del canal de
descarga sobre la parte posterior de la
abertura de la cubierta, luego
pivoteando el codo del canal de descarga
hacia abajo y sobre la abertura del canal
de descarga. Ver Figura 22.

Uso de la embolsadora
NOTA: A fin de asegurar una vida útil prolongada y un rendimiento confiable, no permita
que las bolsas colectoras de césped se llenen por encima del borde antes de vaciarlas.
NOTA: Cuando las dos bolsas colectoras de césped estén llenas, coloque el tractor sobre
una superficie firme y nivelada, desembrague la toma de fuerza (PTO), apague el motor del
tractor y coloque el freno de mano.
1. Voltee el asiento hacia arriba.
2. Abra la cubierta de la embolsadora oprimiendo hacia adentro la lengüeta
posterior derecha con la mano derecha, como se ve en (1) de la Figura 28,
y levantando la cubierta con la mano izquierda en el centro de la parte
posterior de la cubierta de la embolsadora (2). No extraiga del tractor el
conjunto de manguera.
3. Retire las bolsas de césped, levantándolas (1) en la Figura 29, y separándolas
del conjunto de soporte de las bolsas (2).
4. Vacíe los recortes de césped en un predio de disposición adecuado, use la
manija de abajo de cada bolsa de césped. Para vaciar el contenido sostenga
firmemente la bolsa.
5. Reemplace las bolsas para césped en el orden inverso. Cierre la tapa, gire el
asiento hacia abajo, reinicie su tractor y retome el corte de césped.
NOTA: Reajuste todas las perillas de aleta periódicamente a lo largo de la temporada.

La siguiente garantía limitada es otorgada por MTD LLC con respecto
a nuevos productos adquiridos y utilizados en Estados Unidosy/o sus
territorios y posesiones, y por MTD Products Limited con respecto a
nuevos productos adquiridos y utilizados en Canadá y/o sus territorios
y posesiones (cualquiera de las dos entidades, respectivamente,
"MTD").
"MTD" garantiza este producto (excluidas las Piezas y Accesorios con
Desgaste Normal según se describe más abajo) contra defectos en los
materiales y mano de obra por un período de dos (1) años a partir de
la fecha de compra original y, a su opción, reparará o reemplazará, sin
costo alguno, cualquier pieza que presente defectos en los materiales o
de mano de obra. Esta garantía limitada sólo se aplicará si el producto

El daño resultante por la instalación o el uso de piezas, accesorios o
uniones no aprobados por MTD para su uso con el(los) producto(s)
incluido(s) en este manual anulará la garantía en lo que respecta a esos
daños.
Se garantiza que las Piezas con Desgaste Normal están libres de defectos
en los materiales y mano de obra por un período de treinta (30) días
a partir de la fecha de compra. Las piezas sujetas a desgaste normal
incluyen pero no se limitan a: baterías, correas, cuchillas, adaptadores
para cuchillas, dientes, bolsas para césped, ruedas, ruedas para la

ruedas de fricción, placas de raspado, gomas helicoidales y neumáticos.
Accesorios — MTD garantiza que los accesorios de este producto están
