1.2 Introduction
Congratulations on your excellent choice of purchasing an RBS TH!
In order to realize the full benefit from this product it is important that it is installed, commissioned and
operated correctly. Before installation or using the unit, this manual should be studied carefully. It is also
recommended that it is kept safely for future reference. The manual is intended as a reference for
installation, commissioning and day-to-day operation of the Munters Controllers.

2Introduction to RBS TH
The RBS Hanging Bird Scale support the following controllers.

3Physical Assembly
3.1 Parts List
•One scale platform
•One metal cross
•Four metal hanging cables
•One shackle

3.2 Assemby Instructions
1. Connect the four L shaped bars to the scale platform as follows:
a. Thread the four hanging metal cables from the bottom side of the four frame bars (the
bottom side is the side with the split pins) right up to the corner of the bar (Figure 5).

b. Insert each bar to the holes on the four corners of the scale platform and use the safety pin
to secure the bars in place.
c. Start with the first bar on any corner (Figure 6)

d. Continue with the second bar on the opposite side of the scale platform (Figure 7 and
Figure 8) and use the metal cross to connect the two bars in the middle.

e. Connect bars 3 and 4 in the same manner (Figure 9 and Figure 10).
CAUTION Do not forget to use the safty pins!

f. Thread the hanging cables and the load cell on to the shackle and screw tightly.

2. Place a hook measuring approximately 2.40 meter/7.3 feet above the ground.
If possible make it height-adjustable for changes in flock growth.
3. Hang the load cell in place.
4. The scale platform has a 3/8" hole for a pole that will prevent platform swinging.
CAUTION Insert the pole only after the scale is in place.

4RBS-1TH Wiring
AC-2000 SE and AC-2000 3G controllers support up to two (2) RBS-1TH scales. Refer to the controller
manual for calibration instructions. Wire the:
•RBS-1TH to an RBS-1H box (Figure 12).
•RBS-1H box to a AC-2000 SE or AC-2000 3G Controller (Figure 13 and Figure 14).

5RBS-2TH Wiring
RBS-2TH supports the RSC-2 Scale Center. Insert the RBS cables into the relevant RSC ports. Wire the
input power and computer inputs as shown in Figure 15.

6RBS-3TH Wiring and Calibration
RBS-3TH supports the Platinum (Figure 16), Platinum Pro (Figure 17), Trio/Echo 2.0 (Figure 18), or RSU
(Figure 19) units.

7RBS-4TH Wiring
AC-2000 Plus can power two RBS-4TH units. No external power supply is required. Refer to the manual
for calibration instructions.
Wire the:
•RBS-4TH to an RBS-4H box (Figure 21)
•RBS-4H box to a AC-2000 Plus Controller (Figure 22)
