Battery use & safety:
When charging your battery, keep it near room tempe-
rature. Never expose your mobile phone and battery to
temperatures below -10°C or above 55°C.
Caution about high volume usage:
Exposure to loud noise for extended periods of time
may aect your hearing. e louder the volume sound
level, the less time is required before your hearing could
be aected.
Protect your hearing by limiting the amount of time
you use earphones at high volume.

Safety instructions
Please turn o your mobile phone in hospitals. e
mobile phone could interfere with medical instruments.
SIM cards are small and easy to swallow up. Do not let
children play with your mobile phone and its
accessories.
Don‘t short-circuit the battery. It can be damaged and
can result in overheating.
Do not expose the battery to high temperatures or re.
is may present a risk of re or explosion!
Don‘t disassemble, crush, puncture, shred or otherwise
attempt to change the form of your battery.
If you notice any damage to charger or battery, stop
using them immediately. Contact your vendor for a
replacement.
Attention!
Always use original Mustang batteries and chargers.
Warranty does not cover damage to the mobile device
caused by 3rd party batteries and/or chargers

Do not put batteries in your regular household garbage.
You may recycle used batteries can in many retail or
service provider locations. Contact your local recycling
center or national recycling organizations for more
information on how to dispose of batteries.

Basic operation
Prepare for use
Inserting the SIM card Remove the back cover. Slide
the SIM card into the SIM card holder. Make sure the
golden contacts face down and check the location of the
rounded edge.
Now, insert the battery. Make sure the contact plates of
phone and battery are properly aligned.
Reattach the back cover.
Charging the battery
Make sure the battery is inserted properly. Connect the
charger cable to the phone and then connect the char-
ger to a wall outlet. If your phone is switched o while
charging, the screen will show an animated battery
symbol. Aer the battery is fully charged, the battery
symbol remains solid.

If your device is new, you should wait until the battery
is fully discharged before charging it again. You should
make 3 complete recharge cycles. is will make sure
your battery works with its maximum capacity.
When the battery is fully discharged, it may happen
that the screen remains o aer connecting the charger.
is is normal. Aer several minutes the animated
battery symbol will appear on the screen.
Warning: Never remove the battery while charging.
is may cause serious malefaction and may damage
the phone permanently.
Hearing aid key
Use this key to unlock the maximum volume. Use this
function only when the other party is too quiet.

FM Radio
Your phone can receive analog FM radio signals. You
can use the built-in speaker or connect the included
earphones. When reception is poor, please connect the
earphones. ey will be used as external antenna and
will boost your reception

Press and hold the FM radio button on the le side
until the phone switches into FM radio mode.
Manual channel selection
Use the up and down navigation keys to change fre-
quency.
Mute
Press the red key to mute your phone. Press again to
unmute.
Additional functions
Pressing the green button once will open the options
menu. You can now use the following functions:
1. Channel list: Save your favourite stations here.
2. Manual Input: You can enter a frequency directly
using the keypad
3. Auto search: Performs a full station scan and
stores all stations in the channel list. is will
overwrite all previously stored stations.

4. Settings: e option „Background playback“
allows you to switch back to phone mode without
stopping FM mode playback. e option „Loud
speaker“ turns the internal speaker on, when
earphones are connected. Use this option when
reception is poor.
Exit FM radio mode
Press and hold the FM radio button on the le side
until the phone switches back to phone mode.
Flashlight
Slide the ashlight switch on the right side of your
phone up to switch the ashlight on or slide it down to
switch the ashlight o. You can use the ashlight even
when your phone is switched o, as long as there is
enough battery power remaining.
Keypad lock
To avoid unintentional use, your M50+ comes equipped
with a keypad lock function. To lock the keypad, go
back to the home screen in phone mode. Now slide the
lower switch on the right side of your phone up. A lock
symbol will appear on the screen. To disable the keypad
lock, slide the keypad lock switch down.

Making calls
Open the phone book, select a contact and press the
green button twice to call the selected number.
You can also use the speed dial function or enter a
number manually:
1. At the home screen, enter the number using the
keypad. To change the entered number, press the
red key. To delete the whole number, press and
hold the red button. e phone will return to the
home screen.
2. Press the green button to call the entered number.
3. Press the red button to end a call.
Incoming calls
To pick up an incoming call, press the green button.
Press the red button to hang up.
Making emergency calls
1. You can store your emergency contacts in the
phone book. Open the main menu and select
“phone book”. Select “SOS number”. You can now
enter up 5 emergency contacts. Either enter the
number manually or select a contact from your
phone book. To conrm and save the selected
emergency contact, press the green button.

2. When you have stored your SOS numbers, the
phone will send a text message to all of your
emergency contacts when the SOS key is pressed.
en the phone will start to call all SOS numbers
consecutively. If call will not be answered the
phone calls the next SOS number. e phone will
repeat this procedure three times, then it switches
back to the home screen.
3. If no SOS number is stored, a notice will be shown
on the display.
4. When the SOS function is used, a notication
sound will be played.
5. A SIM card must be inserted for using the SOS
function.
6. You can customize the SOS text massage that will
be sent. Open the main menu and select “SMS”.
Now, select “SOS SMS content” and enter the
desired message. Press the green button twice to
save your new SOS test message.

Text messages
When receiving a new text message, a notication will
be displayed on the screen. Press the green button to
read the test message.
Sending text messages
To send text messages, open the main menu and select
“SMS”. Now select “write message” and enter your
text. When nished, press the green button to open the
options menu and select a sending option.
Enter the number of the recipient or select a number
from the phone book. Conrm to send the text mes-
sage. You can also save the text message to the “dras”
folder and send it later.
Inbox
e “inbox” folder contains all received text messages.
Select a text message and press OK to open it. In read
mode, the green button will open the options menu.
You can now select an options from the list, of example
“reply”, “call”, “delete” “forward” etc.
e option „use number“ allows you to store the
number of the sender in your phone book. Select the
memory location (Phone memory or SIM card), enter
a name and save the phone book entry using the “done”
option.

Outbox
e “outbox” folder contains all sent and saved text
messages. e navigation is similar to the inbox folder.
Dras
is folder contains all messages that have been saved,
but not sent, yet.
Voicemail server
You may edit the number of your voice mail. Usually,
this number is programmed to your SIM card by your
mobile phone provider and there is no need to change
this number.
SOS SMS content
You can edit the SOS text message here. Also read sec-
tion “Making calls -> Making emergency calls”.
Temp l ates
Here you’ll nd several pre-saved text messages. You
can edit them to suit your needs.

SMS settings
Prole settings
“Prole 1“ contains the text message settings, which
your mobile phone provider has programmed to your
SIM card. You may also add your own message settings
to a free slot. Usually, there is no need for any changes
or additional proles. Wrong settings may prevent the
SOS function from working properly!
Memory status
e memory status menu will show you both, used
memory and free memory of your phone and your SIM
card. Memory capacity depends on your SIM card and
size of your text messages.
Preferred storage
Select if text messages should be stored in the phone
memory or on your SIM card.
Delete SMS
Here you can delete all your text messages by folder or
all messages at once.

Call history
Call history lists all your outgoing, incoming and
missed calls. In addition, call time is saved, too.
For each logged call, there are several available options:
1. “Call”
2. “Delete”: Deletes this entry from call history only.
is does not aect your phone book.
3. “Save to phone book”: Allows you to add a name
and saves the contact information to your phone
book.
4. “Edit”: Allows you to change the number before
saving to the phone book.
5. “Send text message”: Opens the text message
editor
Delete call logs
Delete your call history by category or delete all calls
at once.
Call timers
is menu lists all call timers. In addition, there is an
option to reset the timers.

Phone book
Search contact
is option lists all your phone book entries in alpha-
betic order. Use the upper and lower navigation key to
scroll through your contacts.
Add new contact
When you add a new contact, you have to choose a
memory location rst. Select either SIM card or phone
and press “OK”. Now enter name and number using the
keypad and select “done” to save and exit.
Delete contact
Deletes a single phone book entry form the SIM card
or the phone memory. ere is also an option to delete
all entries.
Copy
is option allows you to synchronize your SIM card
phone book with your phone memory.
Speed dial
To call number quickly and without scrolling through
the phone book, you can assign up to 10 speed dial
numbers to the keys 2-9,* and #. At rst, set speed dial
status to “on”. Now you can use the “set number” option
to assign numbers to the speed dial keys. To use speed
dial, press and hold the speed dial key until the phone
calls the stored number. For easy remembering of your
speed dial numbers, a male and a female face are prin-
ted to the * and # key.

Phonebook settings
Memory status
e memory status menu will show you both, used
memory and free memory of your phone and your SIM
card.
Preferred storage
Select if contacts should be stored in the phone me-
mory or on your SIM card. is is just a preset setting.
When saving a new contact, you can select where to
save the contact information.

User proles
Your M50+ comes preinstalled with 5 dierent proles:
General, Meeting, Outdoor, Indoor and Headset
To activate a prole, select the prole and press the
green button twice.
I you want to change a prole select the prole and
press the green button once. Now select the option “cus-
tomize” to change the prole.
Each prole contains separate options for the fol-
lowing settings:
1. Tone settings: Ringtones and keypad sound
2. Volume: Volume settings for Ringtones and
keypad sound.
3. Alert type: Select how your phone alerts you
about incoming calls and text messages (sound /
vibration).
4. Ring type: Select how the ring tone will be played.
5. Extra tone: Set for which events you want to hear
an acoustic notication.
6. Answer mode: When activating the “any key”
option, you can accept incoming calls with any
key. By default, only pressing the green key will
accept an incoming call.

Phone settings
1. Volume
2. Time and date: Set time and date and set the time
zone using the “set home city” option.
3. Language: Set the language of the phone menu.
4. Preferred input method: Here you can change
the mode, how to enter text. In “multitap” mode,
you have to press each button several times to
type a letter. For example to write the letter L
you have to push the button “5 JKL” three times,
because L is printed in third position. When
using „smart“ mode, the phone tries to guess
which word you are typing. Each button hast to be
pressed only once, no matter on which positi-
on the letter is printed. Input mode is preset to
“multitap” mode. We do not recommend using
the “smart” mode unless you are using the text
message function very frequently.
SIM call settings
1. call waiting: activate or deactivate the call waiting
feature or check the current status.
2. call divert: Incoming calls will be forwarded
according to these settings. Please keep in mind
that most mobile phone providers charge you for
forwarding calls. For further information, please
contact your mobile phone provider.
3. Call barring: is option allows you to block
certain outgoing or incoming calls. is option is
very useful when you are in a foreign country to
avoid high roaming charges.
