PreamplifierorIntegratedAmplifierequippedwith
“SmartMy-Link”theMDV300hasanumberof
extrafeaturesthatmakethesystemasawhole
easierandquickertousethananormalhifi.
Theseinclude:
WhentheDVDinputontheamplifierisselected,
pressingMUTEontheamplifier’sremotecontrol
willmutetheamplifierandpausetheDVD.When
theamplifiermuteiscancelled,DVDplaybackwill
resume.
PressplayontheDVDplayer(ortheremote
control)andboththeDVDplayerandthe
amplifierwillswitchoutofstandby(ifnecessary)
andplaytheDVD.Theamplifierwill
automaticallyselecttheDVDsource.
Pressopen/closeontheDVDplayer(orthe
remotecontrol)andboththeDVDplayerandthe
amplifierwillswitchoutofstandby(ifnecessary)
andtheDVDdrawerwillopen.Theamplifierwill

Master”SL-9000orSL-9000derivedhandset
(suchastheMyryadA/VLearningRemote)can
beusedtocontroltheMDV300inoneofthe
followingways:
1.WithaMyryadA/VLearningRemotepressthe
DVDdevicebutton.Checktheoperationofthe
OPEN/CLOSE,PLAYandSTOPfunctions.Ifthey
workcorrectlythentheremotehastheMDV300
controlcodespre-loaded.Thehandsetkeys
willoperateasdescribedbelow.
2.Withanon-MyryadSL-9000remote,orif
method1doesnotwork,youmustdownload
codepage001OR102usingthefollowing
procedure:
i)PresstheDVDdevicebuttonatthetopof
yourhandsetandtheMUTEbutton
simultaneously.SETwillappearinthe
LCDdisplay.
ii)Enterthethreedigitcode001.S_001will
appearintheLCDdisplay.
iii)PresstheDVDdevicebuttonagainand
PASSwillflashintheLCDdisplay.
iv)Checkthattheremotecontrolnow
operatescorrectlyinDVDmode,
controllingyourMDV300.
3.Ifmethods1and2donotworkthenthehandset
doesnotalreadycontainthecodestocontrolthe
MDV300.Itmustbeprogrammedusingthe
remote’sLearningmode(describedintheHome
TheaterMaster’sOperatingManual)toteachit
allthecommandsthatyouusemostregularly.
Ifmethod1or2aboveprovessuccessfulthenthe
SL-9000handset,whensettoDVDmode,willoperate
theMDV300withthefollowingfunctions.Itis
recommendedthatasimilarlayoutisalsousedifmethod
3isadopted.Thekeynumbersinthetablebeloware
thoseusedintheSL-9000OperatingManual.
IftheSL-9000isloadedwithcodepage001thenthe
VolumeUp,VolumeDownandMutekeysarealready
pre-programmedtocontrolMyryadpre-amplfiersand
integratedswiththehandsetinDVDmode.Ifthehandset
onlyhascodepage102,ortheDVDcommandsareentered
usingtheSL-9000’slearningmode,theVolumeUp/Down
andMutecommandscanstillbesentbyinvokingthe
SL-9000’s“VolumeControlPunchThrough”mode(see
SL-9000OperatingManual-AdvancedFeatures-Volume
PunchThrough).Thesefunctionswillappearontheir
normalkeys-10,12and13sothatnoDVDfunctions
arelost.
