1、Product Introduction
This user guide applies to E3000(H)( E3100(H)), which identify 1D&2D barcodes
by 2D image scanning pattern. The scanners above are of strong identification capability,
and support automatic continuous scanning mode with fast and flexible scanning speed.
In this chapter, we will introduce the instruction of scanner with pictures, please
compare to the scanner you bought when reading this user guide, which is good for your
understanding. This chapter applies to regular users, maintenance personnel, and software
developers.
1.1 Main feature
* Complete independent research and development, possessing the complete set of
patent, plug and play without the need to install driver.
* Wide voltage design to avoid the data can’t be transmitted due to voltage fluctuation.
* 32-bit master chip equipped with patented software, the scanner can smoothly decode
reflective, wrinkled, blurred, and colorful barcode, and can also normally scan in light and
dark environment.
* Adopt all tantalum capacitors and anti-oxidation optical technology, avoiding the
problem of sensitivity declining after long-term using.
1.2 Unpack your device
After you open the shipping carton containing the product, take the following steps:
Take out the accessories from package.
Check with the packing list to see if everything is complete and in good condition.
If there are any damaged or missing components, please keep the original
package and contact your supplier for after-sales service.

1.9 Start-up, shutdown, standby and restart
Start-up:Connect host computer with scanner, which will automatically start-up and in working state.
Shutdown:Removethedata cablewhich is connected with scanner; removethe USB which is connected
with host computer; remove the power adapter which is inserted into RS-232 serial port.
Standby:Scanner with automatic sleep standby function, if 30 minutes without work it will be in standby
mode, but it will automatically start-up when barcode approach.
Restart:If the scanner crashes or doesn't respond, please switch it off and restart.

1.10 Maintenance
* The window must be kept clean, the supplier do not bear the guarantee responsibility due to the
improper maintenance.
*Avoid the window being wear and tear or scratched by hard object
* Use the hairbrush to remove the stain on the window
* Clean the window with a soft cloth, such as lens cleaning cloth
* Spraying liquid onto the window is prohibited.
* Prohibit any cleaning solvents, except for the cleaning water.
1.11 Reading skills
If the barcode is small,it should becloser to the scanning window;if thebarcodeis large,it should be
far away from the scanning window a little more, thus easier to be read correctly.
If the barcode is highly reflective (for example, the coated surface), you may need to tilt the barcode
at an angle to successfully scan it.

2、barcode setting
Option and function setting mainly through reading a series of special barcodes. In this chapter, we
will provide you a detailed introduction of the options and functions available for user setting, and the
corresponding setup code.
This method of setting the scanning is direct, easy to understand and user friendly.

2.2.3 Decode scanning time setting
This barcode is used to set the most longest decoding time in the range of 0.50 to 25.5 second when
scanner reading barcode. First scan below barcode enter setting mode, then scan three numbers from
the appendix. Use 0 to make up three numbers if the time you want to set less than three numbers. For
example, you want to set 0.5 second as decode scanning time, you should scan “0””0””5” at the appendix.
If you want to set 10.5 as decode scanning time, you should scan”1””0””5” at the appendix. If you want to
change or cancel one incorrect setting, scan the “cancel setting” in the appendix.
2.2.4 trigger mode setting
Choose one of the below mode as trigger event for scanning engine
Scan(standard)-press trigger to active red light to decode barcode, the red light will stay on and
decoding until you release the trigger or exceed the decode scanning time.
Scan(pulse)- press trigger to active red light to decode barcode, the red light will stay on until
successfully read the barcode or exceed the decode scanning time.
Continue scanning mode- Red light always on and able to decode barcode all the time.
Auto mode- Barcode scanner module start depending on ambient brightness.
Host trigger mode- Host give serial port orders, trigger scanner module start.

Reset to default configuration
Host trigger mode setting step:
1、wake up operation: Send 0x00 first, then send effective instruction after 50ms,
(factory default is power saving mode )
2、start scan:04 E4 04 00 FF 14
3、end scan:04 E5 04 00 FF 13
4、after end scan, scanner module time-out in 800ms without working
remark:If you want to omit step 1 and 4, please change power mode to continuous power mode
2.2.5 scan time interval setting of the same barcode (continuous scanning mode)
When the scanner is in continuous scanning mode, this re-scanning setting will come out the result
with one barcode when you scan two identical barcodes, which reduce the risks of scan the identical
barcodes. The interval time is in the range of 0.0 second to 9.9 second, the smallest unit is 0.1 second. If
you want toset the interval time, scan the below barcode first, then scan two numbers as the interval time.
Use 0 to make up three numbers if the time you want to set less than two numbers. For example, you
want to set 0.5 second as interval time, scan the barcode below then scan”0””5” at the appendix. If you
want to change or cancel one incorrect setting, scan the “cancel setting” in the appendix.
2.2.6 scan time interval setting of the same barcode (Auto mode)
When the scanner is in auto mode, this re-scanning setting will come out the result with one barcode
when you scan two identical barcodes, which reduce the risks of scan the identical barcodes. The interval
time is in the range of 0.0 second to 9.9 second, the smallest unit is 0.1 second. If you want to set the
interval time, scan the below barcode first, then scan two numbers as the interval time. Use 0 to make up
threenumbers if thetime you want to set less than two numbers. For example, you want to set 0.5 second
as interval time, scan the barcode below then scan”0””5” at the appendix. If you want to change or cancel
one incorrect setting, scan the “cancel setting” in the appendix.
2.2.7 Data uploading format
