the training area is clear of other traffic. Ensurea safe altitudewill be maintainedthroughout the
maneuvers.Set the Mixtureto Rich (or as required), set the prop to 2250 RPM, and check the
engine instruments. Adjust the Gill Shutters and Oil Cooler door as required, and continueto
monitortemps throughoutthe maneuvers.Check that the landing gear and flap leversare inthe up

Your Instructorwill set up unusualattitudes for your practice. Differentcombinationsof pitch, bank
and airspeedwill be practiced. Makesure transfer of aircraft control is positive. When told to
recover, useappropriate proceduresto bring the aircraft safely and promptly backto levelflight.
Nose Low Recoveries:
o
Roll: towards wings level
o

Nose HighRecoveries(withoutflying airspeed,or if flying airspeed is lost):
o
Power: Reducepower to preventyaw
o
Controls: Neutralizethe Ailerons and Elevatorsto "unload"the aircraft.
o
Recovery: As airspeedis regained, executethe appropriaterecovery.
Inverted Recoveries:
o
