Save the instructions, including the warranty
and sales receipt.
Iron is for household use only. Use the
steamer/iron only for its intended purpose.
Do not leave iron unattended when in use.
Not intended for use by children.
Burns can occur when touching hot metal parts, hot
water or steam. Use caution when turning iron upside
down or when using vertical burst of steam. There
may be hot water in the water reservoir.
To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not
immerse iron in water or other liquids. Do not
operate appliance with wet hands. If iron is wet
or damp, unplug immediately.

When using Nellie’s WOW Iron, basic safety precautions should always be followed including
the following:
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not
disassemble appliance.
Iron should be completely cooled and handle should
be in forward position with cord around base of
handle before storage.
Iron should always be in the off position before
connecting or disconnecting the plug into outlet.
Never yank cord; instead, grasp plug and disconnect.
Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool
completely before storing.
Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the
iron has been dropped or damaged.
If appliance is malfunctioning and not operating
normally, disconnect from power source.

Special Instructions
This is a 1200-Watt appliance. To avoid circuit
overload, do not operate another high voltage
appliance on same circuit.
If an extension cord is necessary, a 10-am cord
should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may
overheat. Care should be taken to arrange cord so
that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
Iron is intended for household use only.
Not intended for use by children.
The iron becomes hot very quickly and needs to
cool completely before storing.
Some smoke may be emitted on rst use. This is
normal and is not a defect.
When ironing with appliance, use a at surface that
is sturdy and suitable for ironing. Appliance should
be placed in an upright position or side position
when operating.
Before lling the Water Reservoir, disconnect iron
from power outlet. Use only the amount of water
indicated.
Use caution when lling hot iron with water.
Never rotate handle when iron is hot.
When using iron, always point the steam vents away
from your body, pets or others.
Do not vertically iron clothes that are being worn.
High temperatures may damage some fabrics so
begin with a lower temperature setting. Before
pressing, test fabric by gradually increasing
temperature to determine proper setting.
Never leave appliance unattended when in use.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USING IRON.
Nellie’s WOW Iron has two handle settings. Handle position should be set before connecting to power outlet.
Rotate handle back in order to vertically steam garments. For horizontal steam pressing or ironing, make sure
handle is in forward position. Never rotate handle when appliance is hot.
For Vertical Steaming
1. Remove Water Reservoir cover and carefully pour
water into tank using correct amount of water as
indicated on Water Beaker. If water has more than 2
degrees of hardness, use distilled water. Do not use
any water with fragrance added.
2. Make sure the Temperature Dial is set on “0” (off)
and handle is in back position. Connect to power
outlet.
3. Rotate dial to “Max” setting. Red Temperature
Indicator Light will go off when desired temperature
is reached.
4. Hold steam vents toward garment and press Steam
Button to begin using steamer.
5. To turn iron off, turn Temperature Dial to “0”(off)
position. Unplug and empty water tank.
6. Place iron on its side and allow to cool completely
before returning handle to forward position and
placing in storage bag.

For Horizontal Steam Pressing
or Ironing
1. Remove Water Reservoir cover and carefully
pour water into tank using correct amount of water
as indicated on water beaker. If the water has more
than 2 degrees of hardness, use distilled water. Do
not use any water with fragrance added.
2. Make sure the Temperature Dial is set on “0” (off)
and handle is in forward position. Connect to power
outlet.
3. Rotate dial to “Max” position for steam pressing,
or refer to Temperature Chart and rotate dial to
appropriate setting for garment fabric when ironing.
Red Temperature Indicator Light will go off when
desired temperature is reached.
4. To turn iron off, turn Temperature Dial to “0” (off)
position. Unplug and empty water tank.
5. Place in upright position and allow to cool
completely before placing in storage bag.
Relling Water Reservoir
1. Set Temperature Dial to “0” (off) position
and disconnected from power source before
relling water tank.
2. Place appliance in upright position and
carefully remove Water Reservoir Cover.
3. Fill tank using the correct amount of
water as indicated on Water Beaker.
4. Connect to power source and reset
Temperature Dial to desired setting. Red
Temperature Indicator Light will go off
when desired temperature is reached.

Storing Iron
Make sure Temperature Dial on iron is “0” (off)
position and disconnected from power source.
Empty water tank of any remaining water and
allow iron to cool completely.
Handle should be in forward position with cord
around base of handle before placing in storage
bag.
Cleaning Iron
Occasionally the soleplate will need cleaning. Use
a product specically for iron cleaning and follow
manufacturer’s instructions for proper use.
Before using iron after cleaning, test iron on a scrap
of fabric to ensure no residual cleaning solution
remains. This can stain some fabrics.
Do not use water to clean any part of iron.
Environment
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted
municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.
Contact your local government for information
regarding the collection systems available. If
electrical appliances are disposed of in landlls
or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the
groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging
your health and well-being. When replacing old
appliances with new ones, the retailer is legally
obligated to take back your old appliance for
disposals free of charge.

This appliance is capable of both dry-pressing and steam-pressing. Dry pressing is best for delicate fabrics,
like silk, that may be damaged by steam. High temperatures may damage some fabrics. Begin with a lower
temperature and gradually increase to determine proper setting.
