This quick start guide is designed to get you up and running quickly with your new router. More
advanced set up instructions can be found in the user manual which can be downloaded from
www.netcommwireless.com
SETTING UP YOUR POWERLINE ADAPTERS
1. Connect one end of the supplied Ethernet cable into the LAN Ethernet port of your
modem/router.
2. Connect the other end of the cable into the Powerline Adapter with the AC
pass-through socket.
3. Connect the Powerline Adapter to a power point near your modem/router.*
*For best performance plug your Powerline Adapters directly into the wall. Do not connect to a powerboard.
4. At this point, you can plug another electrical appliance into the Powerline Adapters AC
pass-through if you wish to do so.
5. Plug the WiFi Powerline Adapter into a power point near where you want to access a
wireless connection or connect a device via cable.
6. If connecting via cable, you can use the second supplied Ethernet cable to connect
the Ethernet port of the Powerline Adapter to your device e.g. PC, set-top box, gaming
console, blu-ray player.
7. Both Adapters will take a short time to nd each other. Once they have, the Powerline
LED on both adapters will be on.

ESTABLISHING WIFI CONNECTION
You can connect multiple WiFi devices, including laptops, desktops and PDA’s to your
Powerline Adapter by following the 2 basic steps.
1. Using your WiFi device, scan the WiFi networks in your area and select the network that
is the same as the Wireless SSID that is listed on the sticker on the device. Then click
connect. The Wireless SSID will be in the format NetComm Wireless XX
2. Enter the wireless security key for your device. This is a random password that is also
listed on the sticker.

What can the LEDs tell me?
The powerline LED changes colour depending on the speed of your data transfer.

- Lights up when a device is connected to the adapter via an Ethernet cable
- Lights up when the adapter is connected to a power point
- Lights up when WiFi function is enabled (WiFi Powerline Adaptor Only)
LEDs Off - The adapter is not paired or wall socket not turned on.
BUTTONS
WiFi Powerline Adaptor Only
- When pressed for 2 seconds, will start WPS pairing function
- When pressed for 5 seconds will reset the device
Dual Band switch - Allows you to manually switch to a 2.4GHz or 5GHz WiFi frequency

TROUBLE SHOOTING
My Powerline Adapters Will Not Connect To Each Other
1. Hold down the Simple Connect button on the rst device for 15 seconds, or until the
LEDs ash, then hold the Simple Connect on the second device for 3 seconds and
nally hold the Simple Connect button on the rst device for 3 seconds.
2. The network password has now been reset and both adapters will be able to
communicate with each other.
3. To make this process easier it is recommended that both Adapters are connected to a
powerpoint near each other or in the same room.
