20 lbLPGasFuel Tank ToConnectthe20lbLPGasFuel Tank:
1. Checkthatthe20lbLP gasfuel tankisinthe “Off”
position.Ifnot,turnthevalveclockwiseuntil itstops.
2. Checkthatthe20lbLP gasfuel tankvalvehastheproper
type-1external male threadconnectionsperANSIZ21.81.
3. Checkthattheburnercontrolknobsareinthe “Off”
position.
4.Removeanydebrisandinspectthevalveconnections,
port,and gaspressureregulator/hoseassemblyfordamage.
NOTE:Always keeptheLP cylinderat90 (upright)
orientationtoprovidevaporwithdrawal.
5. Usingyourhand,turnthegaspressureregulator/hose
assemblyclockwisetoconnecttothe20lbLPgasfuel tank
asshown.
Hand tightenonly.Useofawrenchcoulddamagethequick
couplingnut.

Makesurethatthecylindervalveconnectiondevice
properlymateswiththeconnectiondevice attached tothe
inletofthepressureregulator.
6.Openthetankvalvefullybyturningthevalve
counterclockwise.Waitafewminutesforgastomove
throughthegasline.
7.Beforelightingthegrill, testall connectionsbybrushing
onanapprovednoncorrosiveleak-detectionsolution.
Bubbleswill showaleak.
8. Ifaleakisfound,turnthetankvalveoffanddonotuse
thegrill. Contactaqualified gastechniciantomakerepairs.
9.Goto “CheckandAdjusttheBurners”section.

IMPORTANT: A20lbLPgasfuel tankmust bepurchased
separately.
IMPORTANT: Thegaspressureregulator/hoseassembly

notinuse. Onlyinstall thetypeofdust cap onthevalveoutletthat

regulator.
3. Connectthequickconnectorontheotherendofthe
10ft(3.0m)PVCflexible gassupplyhosetotherigidNatural
gassupplypipe.
6. Useanadjustable wrenchtoinstall theNatural gas
regulatorhosetothemanifold andsecure.Attachthe
Natural gasregulatortothesidepanel insidethegrill cart
withthetwoscrewsthatarepre-assembledonthe
regulator.

1.Turnoffthemaingassupplyvalve.
2.Disconnect20lbLP gasfuel tank(ifpresent).
3.Turnoffall burnercontrolvalves.
4.Removethe20 lb LPgasfuel tank(ifpresent)fromthegrillcart.
5. Useanadjustable wrenchtoremovetheLPregulatorfromthe
manifold.

thebrass orifice fromtheendofgasvalve.Themainburner
orifice islocatedbehindtheLPorifice, sonoadditional orifice
needstobeinstalled.

4.Reinserttheburnerand reattachusingthescrewand cotterclip
previouslyremoved. Repeattheprocedureforeachmainburner.
5.Positiontheigniterssotheyare1/4" (6.0mm)awayfromeach
burner.
1.Removethegratesandflame tamers.
2.Remove1screwandcotterclip thathold theburnerinplace.Set
thescrewandclip aside.Removetheburnerfromthegrill bylifting
theburnerout.

5.Reinstall thesearingsideburnerMakesurethattheigniterisout
ofthewaytoallow properpositioningofburner. UsePhillips
screwdrivertoattachthemountingscrews.
6. UsePhillipsscrewdrivertoreattachtheigniterandsearingside
burnerplate.
7.Reinstall searingsideburnercover. UsePhillipsscrewdriverto
attachmountingscrews.
8.Openthemanual shutoff valveinthegassupplyline.Thevalveis
openwhenthehandle isparallel tothegaspipe.
9. Testall connectionsusinganapprovednoncorrosive
leak-detectionsolution. Bubbleswill showaleak. Correct
anyleakfound.
WhenconvertingfromLPtoNatural gas, youwill needtoadjust
thehighflame settingscrewforideal burnerflame height.
