NEXX HOME ALEXA SMART SKILL SETUP
Nexx Home integrated with Alexa allows you to control your Nexx devices, such as Nexx Garage
and Nexx Plug.
You can ask Alexa to open or close your Nexx Garage. You can also check the status of your garage
door. You can also control your Nexx Plug using Alexa. Turn it on or off, or just check the status of
your Nexx Plug.
There are two ways you can setup Nexx Smart Home Alexa skill, either using Nexx Home app or
by using Alexa app, you can choose whatever way suits you.

SETUP USING NEXX HOME APP
First we will use Nexx Home app to setup Nexx Smart Home skill:
1) Open Nexx Home app and login to your account. Tap on
settings icon to go to your garage’s settings page.
2) Tap on ‘Works with’ menu item.

3) Tap on ‘Link to Alexa’ to start linking process.
4) You’ll be taken to Amazon authentication page, enter your
Amazon credentials to link your account.

5) After successful authentication your account should now be
linked. You can start controlling your devices using Alexa.

SETUP USING AMAZON ALEXA APP
Following steps describe Nexx Home Alexa Smart Skill setup using Alexa app:
1) Open the Amazon Alexa app on your phone, select left menu
button in the upper left corner of screen and select “Skills &
Games” from the menu.
2) Search “nexx home” using the search field.

3) Select “Nexx Smart Home” skill from the search results.
4) Press “ENABLE TO USE” button to start linking your Nexx Home
account with Alexa.

5) Provide your Nexx Home account credentials to link your
account.
6) Once you’ve provided correct credentials, your account will be
linked and you’ll get a success message.

After successful linking, you’ll need to discover your devices.
Alexa will find all your Nexx Home devices and bring them to
Alexa app, so you can control them through Alexa.

Once your Nexx devices have been discovered, you’ll see a
message in Alexa app.

VOICE PIN CODE SETUP
1)
Opening your garage door by voice requires a voice pin code
setup. In your Alexa app, go to your garage door’s settings and
tap on ‘Open by voice’ option to enable it.

Enter your four digit voice pin code and then confirm it.

After pin code confirmation you’ll be taken to a page where
you’ll be asked for your Alexa password, enter your password to
confirm the voice pin code action.
4) After successful confirmation, the ‘Open by voice’ option
should now be shown as enabled, confirming that you’ve setup
a voice code for opening your garage door.

Note: “Front Garage“ is your assigned name for your garage door in Nexx Home app. You can replace the name in above
command with the name of your garage door in NexxHome app.
