The Sonic-Laser Scale has an accuracy of plus or
minus 3%. Therefore, it should only be used as a
guide to estimate a fish’s length. If the fish is close to
the legal size regulation in your fishing area, it is rec-
ommended that you use a tape measure or flat meas-
uring board to ensure that the catch is of legal size.
IMPORTANT:
To ensure the battery cover remains water tight,
coat the battery cover seal with petroleum jelly
(Vaseline®”) each time you replace the battery.

your hands or lay it on its side. Well documented
research indicates that laying a fish on its side creates
considerable damage to internal organs and handling
removes the valuable disease fighting “slime”.

Normal Operation
1. Press “ ” button to select the operation mode:

weight of a bag, bucket, bin, etc.

IMPORTANT:
To obtain accurate length readings the Laser pointer can not
have anything blocking it from touching the solid surface that
the tail of the fish is touching. If necessary, slide the laser
pointer away from the body of the scale to give the beam a
clear line of sight.
Trying to obtain length readings over a non-solid surface (car-
peting, choppy water, grass, weeds, soft sand, etc.) may pro-
duce inaccurate readings. The area must be flat and solid for
at least 1 square foot (.3 Meter) around the laser beam. You
MUST hold the scale steady while using the length measure-
ment feature.
THE LENGTH MEASUREMENT FEATURE WILL NOT
FUNCTION PROPERLY IF THIS IS NOT FOLLOWED.
