FEATURES OF THE CONSOLE
The a vance console offers an impressive array of
features to help you get the most from your exercise.
When the console is in the manual mo e, the spee
an incline of the trea mill can be change with a touch
of a button. As you exercise, the console will provi e
continuous exercise fee back. You can even measure
your heart rate using the built-in pulse sensor.
Three preset workout programs are also offere . Each
program automatically controls the spee an incline
of the trea mill to give you an effective workout. You
can even create your own custom workout programs
an store them in memory for future use.
The console also features new iFIT interactive technol-
ogy. iFIT technology is like having a personal trainer
right in your home. Using the inclu e au io cable, you
can connect the trea mill to your home stereo, portable
stereo, or computer an play special iFIT CD programs
(CD’s are available separately). iFIT CD programs au-
tomatically control the spee an incline of the trea mill
as a personal trainer gui es you through every step of
your workout. High-energy music provi es a e moti-
vation. Each CD features two programs esigne by
certifie personal trainers.
In a ition, you can connect the trea mill to your VCR
an TV an play iFIT vi eo programs (vi eocassettes
are available separately). Vi eo programs offer the
same benefits as iFIT CD programs, but a the ex-
citement of working out with a class an an
instructor—the hottest new tren at health clubs.

HOW TO USE PROGRAMS DIRECTLY FROM
OUR WEB SITE
Our new Web site at www.iFIT.com allows you to
access a selection of programs that interactively con-
trol your trea mill to help you achieve your specific ex-
ercise goals. In a ition, you can play iFIT.com au io
an vi eo programs irectly from the internet.
To use programs from our Web site, the trea mill must
be connecte to your home computer. See HOW TO
CONNECT YOUR COMPUTER on page 17. In
a ition, you must have an internet connection an
an internet service provi er. A list of specific system
requirements will be foun on our Web site.
Follow the steps below to use a program from our
Web site.
Insert the key ully into the console.
See GETTING STARTED on page 10.
Select the iFIT.com mode.

Select Program button repeate ly until the in icator
on the iFIT.com button lights.
Go to your computer and start an internet
connection.
Start your web browser, i necessary, and go to
our Web site at www.iFIT.com.
Follow the desired links on our Web site to se-
lect a program.
Rea an follow the on-line instructions for using a
program.
Follow the on-line instructions to start the
program.
When you start the program, an on-screen count-
own will begin.
Return to the treadmill and stand on the oot
rails. Find the clip attached to the key and slide
the clip onto the waistband o your clothes.
When the on-screen count own en s, the program
will begin an the walking belt will begin to move.
Hol the han rails, step onto the walking belt, an
begin walking. During the program, an electronic
“chirping” soun will alert you when the spee
an /or incline of the trea mill is about to change.
CAUTION: Always listen or the “chirp” and be
prepared or speed and/or incline changes.
If the spee or incline settings are too high or too
low, you can manually overri e the settings at any
time by pressing the Spee or Incline buttons on
the console. However, when the next “chirp” is
heard, the speed and/or incline will change to
the next settings o the program.
To stop the walking belt at any time, press the
Stop button on the console. The Time/Watts is-
play will begin to flash. To restart the program,
press the Start Program button or the Spee
▲▲
button. After a moment, the walking belt will begin
to move at 1 mph. When the next “chirp” is
heard, the speed and incline will change to the
next settings o the program.
When the program is complete , the walking belt
will stop an the Time/Watts isplay will begin to
flash. Note: To use another program, press the
Stop button an go to step 5.
Note: I the speed or incline o the treadmill
does not change when a “chirp” is heard, make
sure that the iFIT.com indicator is lit and that
the Time/Watts display is not lashing. In addi-
tion, make sure that the audio cable is properly
connected, that it is ully plugged in, and that it
is not wrapped around a power cord.

the displays.
