Norman SafeNotch Installation and operating instructions

Place the installation brackets at the desired position. Use a level to
ensure all brackets are in alignment.
If supporting brackets are provided. make sure they do not collide with
ladder cords. Use two fasteners (1 1/4” screws or wall anchors) to secure
the installation and supporting brackets.

Remove the blind from the package. Be sure to keep the packaging
until the blind operates to your satisfaction. Please take a moment
to review the following installation guide for proper installation.

You may find more hardware parts than you actually need. In that case,
feel free to set them aside for future use.

Return Joinery
Hook the valance clips onto the head rail and space them evenly. Insert wand tilt connector into the bottom of head rail untill it is
clicked.
Please be aware that tilt connector is irremovable from
the head rail once installed.
Step 4. Attach the Valance
Insert the valance return joinery if needed.
Attach the valance and valance returns as below drawing.
Make sure valance clips are not in an obstructive position with the
wand tilter, drum support inside the head rail.
Open the hinged door of the installation brackets and insert the
head rail into the end brackets (and supporting brackets if
provided).
Close the hinged door of the installation brackets.

Hold Down Brackets (optional)
Attach the hold down brackets against a flat surface, horizontally
or vertically, parallel to the bottom rail. Make sure the protruding
area is aligned with the hole on the side of the bottom rail.
Secure the hold down bracket into the bottom rail on both sides to
keep blinds in desired location.
How to Reassemble Cord Release Device
Our blind comes equipped with a cord release device that prevents
child strangulation. Should the cord release device come apart,
please refer to below steps:
1. Align all operating cords and slide them into the slot of cord
release device.
2. Snap cord release device together to close.

Additional Attachments
For lowering the blind, the slats need to be in open position.
For raising the blind, gently tilt the slats towards you at 45 degree
first and support bottom rail with your hand while pulling the cord.

Rotate wand to attain desired slat position.
Install the cord cleat on the wall. Wrap the operating cords around
the cord cleat for child safety. Always use the cord cleat to keep
cords out of the reach of children.

• Keep cords separate. Twisted or

Inside Mount Outside Mount
For Fully Inside Mount, the valance clip needs to be inserted to
the top channel.
For Outside Mount, the valance clip could be inserted
to the bottom channel. Please note when it is at bottom channel, the
height of valance will exceed the head rail by 13/16”.
Cleaning Instructions
Perform periodic simple cleaning of your blind will keep your blind
looking its best for the years to come. There are two ways to clean.
You can dust it with a duster or dusting mitten, or simply use a
soft cloth slightly moisten with lukewarm water to wipe down the
slats.
You can clean it with the blind hanging on the window, or you can
take it down completely. By tilting the slats down but not fully
closed, you will be able to clean most of the top surface of each
slat.
Do not use detergent or abrasive cleaning solutions to clean
the blind since it will likely cause damage to the blind.
