1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Bike Bro Smart PSU (Power Supply Unit) is designed for direct battery connection to motorcycles. The unit
powers up the BikeBro DVR when vibration is detected from the engine running. When the engine switches off, the
PSU switches off the DVR after approximately 3 minutes. This prevents the motorcycle battery from being
discharged by the DVR if left for long periods, and allows the DVR system to be permanently connected without the
need to unplug anything when the motorcycle is not in use. The Smart PSU draws less than 1mA of current when in
its powered down state.
Most modern bikes have CAN BUS (e.g. new BMW, KTM, Triumph etc.), which doesn’t allow the power feed from the
headlight or ignition, and on these types of bike the Smart PSU is needed.
2.0 FITTING
Simply connect the RED wired fork terminal to the Battery +VE, and the Black wired fork terminal to Battery –VE.
There’s no need for an inline fuse as the Smart PSU has a built in fuse.
