Figure 1. First open up the Norton Internet Security 2005 application by clicking on
the icon that is in your system tray by your system clock. You will get the above screen
when the application launches. Click on Personal Firewall and then the Configure
button.

Figure 2. The configure screen will look like the above screenshot. Click on the
Programs tab and then Add.

Figure 3. When you click on the Add button you will have to browse to the Hauppauge
MediaMVP directory in the Programs folder on your local disk C:. You will need to
repeat this step 5 times so that you can allow the following files through the Norton
software.
From the main Hauppauge MediaMVP folder:
MVPmedia.exe
Mvpstart.exe
Addportmapping.exe
From inside of the MediaMVP folder, go to the Hardware folder and add the following:
Dglsvcmain.exe
Hcwsms.exe

Figure 4. Each file that you allow through will ask you “What do you want to do”.
Permit each file through the software.

Figure 5. Once all the Files are permitted as an exception, you will see them in the
“Manual Program Control Window”. Once you are finished restart your computer
and then enjoy the MediaMVP.
