9. Device should be supplied only from a power sources whose parameters are in accordance with
those specified by the producer in the camera technical datasheet. Therefore, it is forbidden to supply
the camera from a power sources with unknown parameters, unstable or not meeting producer’s
requirements;
10. Signal cables (conducting TV or and telemetric signal) should be placed in a way excluding the
possibility of damaging them by accident. Special attention must be paid to cables getting from the
camera and connecting the power supply;
11. To avoid equipment damage, whole TV circuit should be equipped with properly made
discharge-, overload- and lightning protection devices. Usage of separating transformers is
advised;
12. Electric installation supplying the device should be designed to meet the specifications given
by the producer in such a way that overloading is impossible;
13. User cannot repair or upgrade the equipment himself. All maintenance actions and repairs should
be conducted only by qualified service personnel;
14. Unplug the camera from the power source immediately and contact the proper maintenance
department when the following occurs:
♦ Damages to the power cord or to the plug itself;
♦ Liquids getting inside the device or exposure to strong mechanical shock;
♦ Device behaves in a way not described in the manual and all adjustments approved by the
manufacturer and possible to apply by user himself, seem not to have any effect;
♦ Camera is damaged;
♦ Atypical behaviour of the camera components may be seen (heard).
15. In necessity of repairs attention to using only original replacement parts (with their parameters
in accordance with those specified by the producer) should be paid. Non-licensed service and
non-genuine replacement parts may cause fire or electrocution;
16. After maintenance activities tests should be run to ensure proper operation of all the functional
components of the device.

Prior to installation please familiarize yourself with the product, its parameters and installation
process.
To install the camera please follow the instructions below:
• Open the dome cover. In order to do this small coin or screwdriver might be useful. Put the coin
or screwdriver into the slot and twist gently. Pay extra attention to avoid scratching edges of the
camera.
• Place base of the camera in a desired place and use its mounting holes as a drilling pattern.
Mark drilling points using a punch. 
• Drill through the screw holes and cable hole using an appropriate driller, in case of concrete
ceiling or wall mounting please use appropriate plastic plug and screws (not included in the
package).
• Screw the camera onto desired surface using included screws or different mounting kit (not
included) if necessity arises.
• Adjust the position of the camera module.
• If needed, unscrew the blocking screw and adjust focus.
• If needed, adjust the desired settings in the camera menu, using function button
(with NV-RCB2 wire controller).
• Put the camera cover pushing it gently onto the base. Please ensure that masking shield does not
block the field of view of the camera.

The camera is equipped with a video and power cable finished with 2 plugs, one for video output
(yellow one), the other for power supply 12VDC±10% (red one). Images below show plug
polarization. 
The following connecting order should be kept:
• connect video cable to the BNC plug
• connect power supply to the power plug
/00,0 .,: Prior to connecting the power supply make sure that all required parameters (output
voltage, output current and polarization) are correct. Using improper power supply
may cause malfunction or camera damage. In such a case, warranty is void. 

Camera focus is set by default. In some specific cases it may be necessary to correct the focus setting.
In that situation please follow the instruction below .
• open the dome - as shown in point 4 of this manual
• unscrew the screws attaching camera’s PCB to the casing and pull the PCB lens out
• loose the blocking screw showed on the picture below
• to set the focus turn lens to the left or right side
• screw on the blocking screw carefully till slight resistance is felt
• close the camera dome
/00,0 .,; If the lens has signs of fingerprints or other smudges stains, the image quality
might be poor. In that case the lens should be cleaned with a special cloth designed for cleaning
the optics.

plugging external NV-RCB2 joystick, as depicted below. Connecting NV-RCB2 allows to adjust
various camera parameters via the OSD menu.

In order to enter the menu press the joystick, which results in executing SET command. For
choosing the submenus please move the joystick into UP, DOWN positions. If the  symbol is
present, enter particular sub-menu by pressing SET. To change the parameters use the EFT and
RIGHT joystick positions. In order to leave the menu select EXIT and press SET. To exit submenu
please select RETURN position, and press SET. Selecting (via left right joystick movement) END in
the RETURN position closes the menu and leaves to main camera view.


This submenu allows for setting the lens parameters.:
MANUAL Manual lens mode.
DC Option disabled.
9EXPOSURE (8#(
This submenu allows for choosing and changing the settings of the parameters connected with AE
and controlling the iris.
SHUTTER Selection of shutter mode. Automatic (AUTO) shutter mode as well as manual
adjustment in the range 1 50~1 100000s are available.
BRIGHTNESSSets brightness level (BRIGHTNESS) in the range from 0 to 255.
AGC Automatic Gain Control function. Allows for switching between LOW (low),
MIDDLE (middle) and HIGH (high) gain values. With OFF selected, function is
disabled.
DWDR This function allows to effectively observe the scene with different illumination
levels. Function can be enabled (ON) or disabled (OFF). With ON is selected, an
adjustment in the function’s intensity level in the range from 1 to 35 becomes
available.
RETURN Pressing RETURN moves to a higher-level menu.
5.3 WHITE BAL (8#(
This feature allows for setting appropriate color settings in various color temperature
conditions:
ATW1 - auto tracking white balance in 2300-9500°K color temperature range;
ATW2 - auto tracking white balance in 2000-11000°K color temperature range.
AWC->SET - This mode (Auto White balance Control) allows for adaptive setting of white
balance. In order to obtain the optimum state under the current illumination, direct the camera
at a sheet of white paper and press RETURN. When lighting parameters change ( e.g. light
bulbs changed to halogen lamps, daylight to artificial light etc. ), procedure mentioned above
should be repeated;
MANUAL - Manual mode settings. In case of inappropriate color settings for ATW, AWC
modes it is possible to set RED and BLUE color values manually by entering a sub-menu
that appears upon selection. The range of changes is from 0 to 256 and is depicted by sliders.
Any change in the color components are instantly applied to the image. Sliders become active
only in manual mode of the white balance function. Furthermore, submenu allows for
selecting two white balance modes appropriate for indoor (INDOOR) and outdoor
(OUTDOOR) illumination environments.

5.4 BACKLIGHT (8#(
These compensation functions allow for enhancing visibility of the objects located in the foreground,
surrounded by strongly illuminated background (BLC) or for enhancing visibility of the objects
located near the strong light source (HLC).
BLC BLC function allows for enhancing visibility of the objects located in the
foreground, surrounded by strongly illuminated background. After pressing SET
button in this mode submenu depicted below appears.
Submenu presented above allows for setting the size and location of the area where
the BLC function is active, furthermore it allows for setting the sensitivity of the
function.
AREA SEL. allows for selecting one of two compensation zones in order to edit them
AREA STATE enables disables compensation for a given zone.
GAIN sets the sensitivity of the function, ranging 0~255
HEIGHT sets the height of edited zone
WIDTH adjusts the width of edited zone.
LEFT/RIGHT moves the zone horizontally around the screen
TOP/BOTTOM moves the zone vertically
RETURN returns to a higher-level menu
HLC High light compensation function. It allows for enhancing visibility of the objects
located near the strong, point light source. If a strong, point light source appears on
the screen , function will mask it allowing for effective observation of the scene
itself (this function is best used to, for example, observe licence-plates of the cars).
Selecting allows for editing the sensitivity of the function (LEVEL, ranging 0~255)
as well as its operation mode (only in low-light conditions - NIGHT ONLY, whole
day - ALL DAY). To return, please select RETURN.

AUTO Camera switches between night (b w) and day (color) mode automatically,
depending on current illumination conditions. Selecting and confirming displays the
following sub-menu:
D->N LEVEL sets the illumination threshold that switches the camera from day
to night mode (0~255)
D->N DELAY Sets the delay between color and b w mode switching (1~30 s.).
N->D LEVEL sets the illumination threshold that switches the camera from night
to day mode (0~255).
N->D DELAY Sets the delay between b w and color mode switching (1~30 s.).

EXT Camera switches between D N modes basing on the illumination sensor indications.
COLOR Forces continuous color operation.
B/W Forces continuous b w operation. Selecting allows for adjusting additional values:
BURST allows to add or remove chrominance synchronization signal from the
video feed.
IR SMART function ensuring balanced brightness level of the picture, during
operation with an IR illuminator - prevents overexposure of the objects located
close to the camera and its illuminator. Selecting this option opens additional
sub-menu:
IR GAIN sets the gain level in 0~255 range
HEIGHT sets the height of edited illumination sensitivity zone
WIDTH adjusts the width of edited zone.
LEFT/RIGHT moves the zone horizontally around the screen
TOP/BOTTOM moves the zone vertically
IR LEVEL sets the IR LED illumination level (LOW/HIGH)

Allows for enabling disabling the CCD Dead Pixel Correction function. After selecting it, a
message informing about the necessity of covering the lens and pressing RETURN when ready
appears. Function is then activated, searching for white pixels and compensating them, returning
to the main menu when ready.

5.7 SPECIAL (8#(
This submenu allows for setting the additional functions available in the camera.
CAM TITLE Allows for entering a string of characters that later is displayed on the screen, e.g.
as camera title. Title may consist of up to 15 characters. Please select desired
characters from the virtual keyboard, which becomes available after pressing
RETURN:
Screen contains mainly alphanumerical characters, which may be used in camera’s title. Select
desired character and please apply it by pressing RETURN key. Currently edited title is visible at the
bottom of the screen. A line just above it contains buttons for editing the title. To enable particular
functions, please highlight them as normal characters and confirm by pressing RETURN. Button
functions are described below:


 Moves character highlight cursor left.


 Moves character highlight cursor right
POS Allows for adjusting the position of entered characters.
CLR Erases the whole title.
END Exits title editing menu.

MOTION This menu allows (provided, that ON option is selected) for turning a built-in
motion detection feature on or off. Motion detection may simultaneously be
conducted in four independent zones (with their size and location selectable by
user). Detection of motion with MOTION enabled displays an appropriate icon
superimposed on the scene view.
After selecting ON and pressing RETURN the submenu allowing for adjusting
motion detection settings is displayed, as depicted below.
AREA SEL Selects one of four available motion detection zones.
AREA STATE Enables ON) or disables OFF) a given motion detection zone.
HEIGHT Sets the height of an edited zone (0~15 range).
WIDTH Sets the width of an edited zone (0~15).
LEFT/RIGHT Moves the zone right left (0~15).
TOP/BOTTOM Moves the zone up down (0~15).
DEGREE Sets the function sensitivity.
VIEW Enables disables highlighting the movement detection location on the screen.
PRIVACY Allows for enabling disabling the built-in eight privacy zones. Selecting ON and
pressing RETURN displays submenu allowing for adjusting parameters regarding
the motion detection function:
AREA SEL Selects one of eight available privacy zones.
AREA STATE Enables ON) or disables OFF) a given privacy zone.
HEIGHT Sets height of the edited zone (0~15).

IMAGE ADJ - Allows for enabling the additional picture effects.
LENS SHAD. Changes brightness of the displayed video image.
2DNR Enables disables the Digital Noise Reduction function.
MIRROR Allows for enabling disabling mirror image function.
FONT COLOR Selecting opens another submenu allowing for changing font’s color
(both for OSD menu as well as camera’s picture).
CONTRAST Allows for changing contrast of the displayed picture (range 0~255).
SHARPNESS Allows for changing sharpness of the displayed video picture
(ranging 0-16).
DISPLAY Selecting allows for gamma coefficient adjustment (GAMMA, only for
LCD), PED and color gain (COLOR GAIN), for CRT or LCD
monitors.
NEG. IMAGE Enables disables displaying of the negative video image.
COMM ADJ. Unavailable
LANGUAGE Switches between OSD languages: Chinese and English.
