1 Introducon
1.1 Acknowledgement
Thank you for purchasing our pro uct. The pro uct is a high-en MID (Mobile In-
ternet Device). For a full specificaon list, please see the Appen ix, on page 39.
The pro uct has a built-in Wi-Fi mo ule, front camera, can be easily connecte to
the Internet, can repro uce high efinion vi eos an photos an supports camera
shoong an vi eo recor ing. Besi es, many office an entertainment applicaons
are available for the evice. Bran new operaon interface will provi e you with a
new kin of enjoyment.
The manual systemacally intro uces the funcons, applicaons an prevenve
maintenance ps. Please rea this manual carefully before using the evice.
1.2 Prevenve maintenance
● Please always keep the MID ry. To avoi the corrosion an electric short-circuit,
please keep the evice, baery an charger away from water an moisture, an
on’t operate the evice or charger with wet han s.
● To avoi the failure of the evice, baery or charger, please protect them from
violent shocks or vibraons an use them in environments with an ambient tem-
perature between 5 an 35 egrees Celsius.
● Never shock, throw, pro , rop, stretch or ben the MID.
● DO NOT isassemble the MID. Only a cerfie service technician shoul perform
repairs on your evice. Otherwise, the manufacturer will not be responsible for
any amage.

2.2 MID Usage and Preparaon
Baery Charging
You must fully charge your device before using it for the rst me.
1. Connect the power a aptor to charge the MID.

Task bar icons:
When some messages appear in your task bar, please tap the column an sli e
your finger on the screen to open the task bar. Choose the menu you nee , an
confirm the selecon. Then you can close the task bar by clicking the column to
sli e up. Please refer to the below status icons:
Reminder board
Remin er icons will work while receiving emails, alarm is set, an connect WIFI,

3 Quick Start Guide
3.1 Keys Funcon
Keys funcons descripon:
3.2 Start-up and Shutdown
Start-up
Long press the Power key for three secon s. The system will turn on, please unlock
it to enter into main interface to operate.
Shutdown
1.Long press Power, it will popup shut own win ow.
2.The seng inclu es mute mo e an shut own, as Picture 3-1.
3.Clicking Shut own is the last step.

3.3 Turn the Screen On/Off
Screen will be shut down on its own aer a period of no acvity.
1. The screen will shut own on its own if no acvity is etecte for a perio of
me, to save the baery power.
2. When the screen is turne on, press the Power key, the screen will shut own
imme iately.
Turn on the screen when it is turned off.
If the screen is shut own, short press Power to turn on the screen. The screen will
be locke as in Picture 3-2. Aer opening it, hol “lock” icon with your finger or
touch pen an sli e it towar s the unlock symbol, as in Picture 3-3.

3.4 The Touch Screen
MID operang methods
There are many metho s to view the main screen, menu an applicaons of your
MID.
Tap
When you want to use the screen keyboar input or choose an applicaon in the
main interface, you only nee to touch it with your finger.
Press on
If you want to open an item (textbox or a link in the webpage), or move a shortcut,
you can press on the item.

Extensible start interface
Homepage will exten by excee ing the screen to offer more space where you can
place newly installe shortcuts, wi gets. Click the blank space in the homepage,
then sli e right an le to move to the right an le of the screen. There are two
exten e pictures in the home page, as in Picture 3-5.
Shortcut icons management of desktop applicaons
An roi 4.0 system makes the fol er creaon simple. There are 3 easy steps:
1. Drag all the icons together, as shown in the Picture 3-6.
2. Click the group of icons to open all the applicaons as in Picture 3-7.
3. Tap the unname fol er below the black frame, it will pop-up the on-screen key-
boar , an you can rename this fol er (it is similar to the IOS system.)
Delete the icons on the desktop
1. Click an hol the icon you want to elete, the top le will show the icon x.
2. Draw the icon to the upper part, on the DELETE icon unl the icon turns to re ,
an then remove your finger to elete the icon.

Change the desktop wallpaper
1. Touch an hol the blank space in the main screen, it will pop-up the win ow
to change the wallpaper.
2.Choose between Gallery, Live Wallpaper an Wallpaper gallery to search for
the new wallpaper photo.
Voice search
1. Touch the Microphone icon .
2. You can choose accor ing to your nee s in the google selecon.
3. You can set the language accor ing to your nee s in the voice search frame, click
OK to confirm.
4. Keep your mouth close to the microphone, an speak out the content you nee
to search, the browser will open the search result list.
3.6 Applicaons Access
1. Click buon in Picture 3-6, enter the applicaon list, as in Picture
2. Choose (tap) the applicaon you want to run.
3.7 USB Connecon
MID storage con guraon
Before transferring ocuments, you have to con uct storage configuraon on your
MID:
Connect the MID to a PC via USB connecon, the task bar will confirm the connec-
on.
1. Open the task bar (please see the Chapter 2.3 - MID status an task bar).
2. In the task bar, click USB connecte , then touch Turn on USB storage, as in Picture
3-9.
3. Now the MID is connecte to the PC
To copy the files to the memory car :
1. Connect the MID to a PC (following the above instrucons) .
2. Open “My computer” to view the Removable Drives(x).
3. Copy the file you nee to copy into “Removable Drive(x)”.
4. Aer copying, click “Safely remove USB Drive” in your computer’s task bar to
unmounts the MID.
yNote:
When your MID is connecte with a USB cable, if you turn on the USB storage,
you can browse the contents of the memory car from your PC. If you want to
browse the memory car from your MID, you nee to isconnect the USB cable.

3.8 Input methods
The on-screen keyboard

3.9 Applicaons
Enter into the widgets interface window
Click the wi gets win ow on the top of the screen in the applicaon interface or
le-swipe the screen; it will switch to the wi gets interface. Long tap any compo-
nent to turn it into a shortcut an then you can run the applicaon through the
shortcut.
Create shortcut icons on the desktop
In the applicaons an wi gets interface, long tap any icon to switch it into a short-
cut, rag an rop the icon to any place on the esktop.
Switch the screen
An roi 4.0 uses a mul-screen isplay, tap the screen with your finger an swipe
right or le to switch the screen.

4.1 Sound and display
Mul-media volume seng
1. Click the “Sengs” applicaon in the main interface.
2. Click Soun .
3. Click Volumes to a just the volume for music an vi eo.
4. When the volume sengs win ow pops up, sli e the cursor le or right to a just
the volume.
5. Click OK to confirm.
Display sengs
Adjust the brightness
1. Open the Sengs applicaon from the main interface.
2. Select Display.
3. Choose Brightness when the menu pops up.
4. The brightness a justment bar will pop up; sli e the cursor le or right to a just
the brightness.
5. Click OK to confirm.
Adjust screen standby me
1. Open the Sengs applicaon from the main interface.
2. Select Display.
3. Choose Sleep.
4. The sleep me sengs win ow will pop up; choose the sleep me you want.
4.2 Security sengs
Seng the screen lock.
You can use the paern or passwor to lock the touch screen to protect your MID
privacy.
Seng the unlock paern
1. Click seng applicaon in the main interface.
2. Click say.
3. Click screen lock.
4. Choose picture in the text seng area.
5. Move to next step accor ing to remin .
6. There are nine touch points in the picture, when it popup unlock picture boar ,
connect the four points from vercal an horizontal irecon. As Picture 4-1, move
your finger when finish. System will recor the picture you set.
7. Click connue.
8. When you see the remin informaon, click the screen locke picture, click
Set the PIN code
1. Open the Sengs applicaon from the main interface.
2. Select Security.
3. Select Screen lock.
4. Choose PIN in the opons list.
5. Enter new PIN co e an tap connue.
6. Enter new PIN co e again an choose OK.
Seng the password
1. Open the Sengs applicaon from the main interface.
2. Select Security.
3. Select Screen lock.
4. Choose Passwor in the opons list.
5. Set new passwor (leers an numbers) an tap connue.
6. Enter passwor again an tap confirm.

4.3 SD card and MID memory
View the SD card and MID memory available space
1. Open the Sengs applicaon from the main interface.
2. Select Storage.
3. View the available space in the SD car .
4. View MID internal memory space.
Remove the SD card safely
Removing the SD car safely can prevent the SD car amage an exten the SD
lifeme.
1. Open the Sengs applicaon from the main interface.
2. Select Storage.
3. Tap Unmount SD car .
4. Pull out the SD car .
4.4 Date and Time
Manual adjust date, me and me zone
1. Open the Sengs.
2. Scroll own the screen, an select Date & me.
3. Select me zone, an choose your me zone from the list. Scroll own to view
more zone informaon.
4. Tap Set ate an then tap up an own the arrow buons or scroll up an own
to a just the ate, month an year; tap Set when finishe .
5. Tap Set me an tap up an own the arrow buons or scroll up an own to
a just the hours an minutes, select AM or PM to change between morning an
aernoon (there is no such selecon when you choose 24 hour format); tap set.
6. Tap Use 24-hour format, you can switch between 12 hour format an 24 hour
format; the selecte me format will be use on the alarm.
7. Tap Select ate format, an choose the ate formats in MID.
4.5 Seng the Language
1. Open the Sengs from the main interface.
2. Select Language an input.
3. Tap Language, an select the language you want, scroll own to search more
languages.
4.6 About tablet
View the MID Status
1. Open the Sengs.
2. Select About Tablet - you can see the baery status, network status an so on.
System update
1. Open the Sengs from the main interface.
2. Select About tablet.
3. Select System up ates.
4. Click Install system up ate if there is new version. (Please confirm there is a new
version on the TF car in the evice before installaon.
View system version
1. Open the Sengs.
2. Select About Tablet.
3. You can view mo el No., An roi version, Baseban version an kernel version.

5.1 Your MID supports the following formats:

5.2 Music
Your music can be sorte by four criteria: arsts, album, songs an playlists. Choose
one to view the list. If entering into one type, connue to search unl you fin the
music you want to play. For example, if you choose arst type, you can see the ar-
sts’ names from A to Z, if you choose one arst, the list will isplay the arst’s
album an album list.

Select and play music
1. Click Music in the main interface.
2. Select Arsts, Albums, Songs or Playlists.
3. Select any music to play.
Add a song to a new play list
1. Tap Music in the main interface.
2. Enter to select songs.
3. Touch an hol the song you want play.
4. In the pop-up menu, select a to playlist.
5. Select New.
6. Input playlist name.
7. Tap Save.
Delete the music in a play list
1. Select Music in the main interface.
2. Select Playlists.
3. Choose a playlist.
4. Touch an hol the song you want to elete from the playlist.
5. In the pop-up menu, click Delete to finish.
5.3 Video
To watch a video le:
To watch a vi eo file:
1. Open the Gallery applicaon.
2. The MID will show all the vi eo an image files.
3. Select the fol er that contains the file you want to see.
4. Play the file by tapping it.
Edit photos
When you view the photo in full screen, tap the menu key to isplay the menu,
from which you can select the acon to e it or set the photo as wallpaper or con-
tact photo.
Slideshow
1. Open any photo; tap the menu key to isplay the menu.
2. Select Sli eshow.
Crop
1. Tap the menu icon to isplay the menu.
2. Tap Crop, rag the blue margins to a just the trimmer.
3. Aer a jusng the size, tap Crop to finish.
4. Click Cancel to return to the photo without applying the crop.
5. Click cancel return to photo scan if you want give uo shaving.

Choose relate player first, (if there is more than one player).
5.5 Gallery
The Gallery applicaon can search in the SD memory car for vi eo an photo files;
you can use the Gallery applicaon to view an e it photos, an set the wallpaper
an contact photos.
View photos
1. Open the Gallery applicaon from the main interface.
2. Enter the photo gallery; choose the file you want to view.
3. Touch the photo you want to view, the system will show the photo in full screen.
4. When you view photos, you can zoom in an out by touching the screen with
two fingers: pull the fingers together to zoom out an separate the fingers to zoom
in, or ouble tap the screen.
uAdvice:
When you view photos you can swipe le an right to switch to the previous/next
photo.
5.4 HDMI
Use the HDMI interface, set the HDMI output, connect the MID to a high-
efinion igital TV; in full screen mo e will isplay high- efinion vi eos;
supports 1080P resoluon.
1. In the main screen select Sengs.
2. Select Display an then output sengs.
3. In the" output " select " HDMI".
4. Connect the HDMI cable between the MID an the HDTV.

Take photos
1. Turn on the camera, make sure your evice is in camera mo e, the screen will
isplay the camera acon icons, as shown in the picture below:
2. Aim at the target you want photograph.
3. Touch the blue buon to take photos.

1. Tap the menu icon, it will isplay the menu.
2. Select E it.
3. Set brightness, effects, style or crop in the opons bar.
4. Click Save.
5. Tap the return icon to un o the changes.
Camera
Camera applicaon an vi eo shoong funcon, inclu es two caremas, one is front
camera(300.000piexl), rear camera provi es “ full screen” mo e, can make you
shoot the photo single picture through move the camera lens.
Open the camera
You can open the camera through the following two ways:
1. Sli e the screen (if you alrea y set the seng to “sli e”, sli e the lock icon to-
war s the camera icon
2. Touch the camera icon in the main screen
Record video
1. Make sure your evice is in vi eo mo e:
2. Move the camera towar s the target you want to recor .
3. Touch the re buon , the system will start to recor . During the recor ing,
the re buon will isplay a white square.
4. Touch the re buon to finish recor ing.
Save:
The photos an vi eos will be save automacally.•
You can view the photos an vi eos you have recor e .•
If you want to view more photos an vi eos you can sli e le an right.•
When you watch vi eos, if you want to play the vi eo, click the play buon •

Pan-shot
Open the camera, make sure your evice is in panoramic mo e, the screen will is-
play the panoramic icon, as in the picture below:
1. Aim at the scene you want to shoot from one en to the other.
For example, if you want to shoot a bri ge, please aim your camera from the hea
of the bri ge.
2. Touch the green buon , an then move the camera through the whole
scene.
Take the bri ge for example; you nee to move the camera from one e ge to ano-
ther; if you move too fast, the screen will isplay blurry images.
3. During the shoong, the green buon will isplay a white square.
4. Aer shoong finishes, touch again the green buon, the system will isplay the
panoramic photo, an the camera will isplay the progress bar while saving the
photo.
6.1 External 3G
Your MID supports external 3G interface:
1. Connect the 3G ongle to the MID
2. Wait for the 3G icon to appear in the task bar.
6.2 Wi-Fi connecon
Your MID can connect to Wi-Fi networks:
1. Open the Sengs from the main interface.
2. Select Wi-Fi.
3. The MID will automacally scan the available Wi-Fi networks, as in Picture 6-1.
4. Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to; if there is any passwor win-
ow, enter the passwor , then tap Connect to finish.
6.3 Email
Email seng
The Email applicaon has a sengs gui e; you can a an or inary web email ser-
vice to the external POP3 or IMAP email account of the provi er (such as Yahoo,
Gmail an 163)

To view photos, please touch the thumbnail besi e green buon.

Email sengs guide
1. Enter the main interface, as in Picture 6-2
2. Tap the email icon; the email sengs gui e will help you set your email account,
as in Picture 6-3.
3. Enter your email account a ress an passwor .
4. Tap the next buon; choose your email type (POP3 or IMAP).
5. Tap the next buon to check if the email receiving an sen ing is available or
not.
6. Enter the account name an the email sen er’s name, an then tap finish.
7. If the mailbox is available, it will enter in your inbox.
Remove an email account
You can remove the POP3 or IMAP email account from your MID.
1. Tap Email.
2. Enter in your inbox.
3. Touch the menu key.
4. Select Sengs.
5. Touch your account’s name.
5. It will pop up the menu list, scroll own the screen an tap Remove account.
6. Tap Ok to elete.
Send E-mails
1. Open Email to isplay your mail inbox.
2. Tap the inbox, it will refresh the new emails automacally.
3. Touch buon on the top of screen.
4. Enter the Compose new email interface.
5.Input the receiver’s email a ress in the receiver column.
6. Input subject an email content.
7. Click a aachment, (bin er icon), it will pop-up a menu.
8. Choose the type of file you want to aach (from File Manager, Gallery, Office
Suite, etc.).
9. Select the aachment you want to sen (pictures, vi eos, ocuments)
10.Click sen buon to sen the email.
7.1 Browser
Open and use the Internet browser
Tap the Browser icon on the main screen or all applicaons screen.
The Browser will open the last webpage you visite .
When you use any internet connecon (for example email or chang, internet,
etc.), the browser will open.
On the top of the screen, it will isplay the current URL; the a ress column (mul-
funcon column) may slip to the posion beyon the top. In this case, sli e own
to isplay the a ress column again.
Set the homepage.
1. Touch the browser icon in the main screen.
2. Touch the menu key to popup the browser sengs menu.
3. Scroll own the menu, select sengs.
4. Touch Set homepage.
5. Select the homepage from the submenu.

1. Go to any webpage in the browser.
2. Tap the star symbol on the a ress bar.

1. In the browser, tap the “star on a ribbon” symbol on the a ress bar.
2. Select the bookmark you want to open.
Edit bookmarks
1. Click menu key an click bookmark.
2. Touch an hol the exisng bookmark; a sub-menu will open.
3. Select e it bookmark; aer e ing, tap OK.
1. When you view the webpage, please touch the menu symbol; in the sub-menu
select “Save for offline rea ing” to save it for rea ing without internet.

select the save pages tab, an the thumbnail of the page you want to view.

2. Touch the Clock applicaon; the clock will be shown on the screen, as in Picture

View a webpage
Open the webpage as Picture 7-1, click a ress column to input a ress, enter the
relate webpage to view correspon ing website informaon, you can sli e your
finger on the screen to browse an view the other parts of the webpage.
Increase and decrease the webpage
Aer opening the webpage, you can raw the webpage, below the browser, it will
appear increase an ecrease buon, you can click to increase an ecrease the
webpage.
Search a word in a webpage
a) When you view the webpage, touch the menu key, it will pop-up a sub-menu.
b) Select Fin on page.
c) Input the wor you want to search.
) When you input wor s, the relevant wor s will turn to a blue colour instea of
white.
e) Touch the up an own arrow buons in the right of the search column to move
to the previous an next relevant wor .

8.2 Calculator
1. Touch the Calculator applicaon in the applicaon interface.
2. Enter into the basic panel of calculator.

File Explorer
You can use the File Explorer to e it an elete files an fol ers. You can also use
the FTP service to share resources.

1. In the main interface, touch the ES File Explorer icon ; enter the file explorr
interface, as in Picture 8-2:

Cut and copy the les
1. Touch an hol the file you want to copy/cut in the file browser.
2. The operaons menu that opens inclu es cut, copy, elete, rename, select all,
shortcut, move to, share, etc.
3. Select cut or copy.
4. Touch the fol er you want to paste the file to, then touch menu key to access
the menu.
5. Touch operaons, then select paste to finish.

1. In the file explorer, touch an hol the file you want to elete.
2. Select elete.
3. Touch OK to elete the file.
Create a folder
1. In the file explorer, touch the menu key to pop-up the menu.
2. Select New.
3. Select fol er.
4. Input the new fol er name in the e it box.
5. Touch OK to create the fol er.
Fast search
1. Touch the Search tab on the top of the file explorer.
2. Input the file name, the path an the category of the file you are looking for.
3. Click OK.
4. The system will auto isplay the search result aer search.
9.1 Installaon
Install third party applicaons
You can get the thir party applicaons (which match the An roi system of your
evice) from the internet, an install it yourself on the MID. Copy the applicaon
on a SD car , an insert the car in the MID.
9.2 Uninstall
Applicaon uninstall procedure
1. Open the Sengs (in the main interface).
2. Select Apps, it will list all the applicaons.
3. Select the applicaon you want to uninstall, an then select uninstall.
4. Click OK to finish the uninstallaon

10.1 Preparaon for System upgrade
Download the upgrade le
You can ownloa the soware upgra e pack from the Internet, then use the up-
gra e pack to upgra e the system version of the MID.
Preparaon for the system upgrade:
1. Downloa the system upgra e pack to your computer from a relate website.
2. Prepare the tools for the system upgra e; one TF car , FAT or FAT 32 formae
(both formats are supporte ).

10.2 Restore Factory Sengs
When your MID encounters some serious errors or unlock passwor s are forgoen,
you can restore the factory sengs. Restore the factory sengs will elete all the
ata such as exisng applicaons an user’s sengs. Do not forget to back-up your
ata.
1. When the evice is in shut own state, hol the Volume up key by one han , an
press the Power key with the other han .
2. Enter in upgra e mo e; the wallpaper is a triangle with an exclamaon mark.
(As in Picture 10-1)
3. Press the Volume- key when you see the triangle.
4. The system enters in another mo e: recovery mo e; there are six opons.(As in
Picture 10-2)
5. The first opon: Restart the system. The secon opon: System upgra e. The
thir opon: Wipe ata/ Factory reset. The forth opon: Wipe caching ata. The
fih opon: LOGO upgra e. The sixth opon: copy user’s ata. The seventh opon:
input the serial No.
6. Now you press the Volume own key, the cursor bar will sli e own, press Vo-
lume+ key to execute.
7. Choose wipe ata/factory reset to execute, as in Picture 10-2
8. Enter into confirmaon interface, select Yes to restore factory sengs, click No
to exit the confirmaon interface.
Upgrade steps:
1. (First insert the TF car with the upgra e pack - the file name up ate.zip – into
the MID)
2. In shut own mo e, press the Volume up key, then press Power key to enter in
the recovery mo e.
3. Enter in the system upgra e mo e; the wallpaper is a triangle with an exclama-
on mark, as in Picture 10-1
4. Short press Volume- when you see the triangle.
5. System enters in another mo e: recovery mo e; there are seven opons, as in
Picture 10-2
6. The first opon: Restart system now. The secon opon: apply s car :
up ate.zip. The thir opon: Wipe ata/ Factory reset. The fourth opon: Wipe
cache paron. The fih opon: up ate user logo。Backup user’s ata. The sixth
opon: burn write ata. The seventh opon: burn license.
7. Now click volume-to sli e up an own, click volume + to select.
8. Select the secon opon to enter the next interface, sll select the secon op-
on, the system will enter in the upgra e mo e; it will isplay the progress.
9. Aer the system upgra e finishes, it will isplay the message: “Install from SD
car complete”.
10. Aer the system upgra e finishes, the menu will return to the first set of op-
ons; now click volume + to exit the upgra e interface an to start up.
11. Users can change the system logo to their nee s, the file type must be BMP,
800*480, the file name must be LOGO, the path is memory car . Use the fih op-
on in the first upgra e menu (picture 10-2).
10.3 System Upgrade

Before upgra ing, please confirm the baery level of your MID is more than 30%
to be sure the upgra e can be finishe . Besi es, you nee to back-up your im-
portant ata, such as applicaons, emails, etc.

Before upgra e, you must execute the thir opon (wipe ata/factory reset) to
make sure the upgra e will be successfully.
