Safety Notes
•ENERGY RWC-1 may not be used on uneven surfaces such as frosted,
textured or patterned glass or plaster. NRG ENERGY cannot be held
responsible for damage caused by improper use of the device on surfaces
that are not recommended or suitable for the robot.
•ENERGY RWC-1 is only suitable for vertical glass surfaces with or without
a frame.
• The included remote control is required to clean horizontal surfaces using
ENERGY RWC-1.
•ENERGY RWC-1 may only be used on windows the frame of which is at
least 5 mm thicker than the glass.
•ENERGY RWC-1 may not be used on surfaces measuring less than
50 x 70 cm.
• If the glass surface is particularly dirty, clean a small portion of the window
and position NRG ENERGY RWC-1 in the clean spot.
•ENERGY RWC-1 must be connected to the mains at all times during
operation.
• Make sure that the distance between the surface that requires cleaning and
surrounding obstacles (curtains, furniture) is at least 10 cm.
•ENERGY RWC-1 can be used to clean slanted surfaces using the included
remote control. However, the device might not function properly,
depending on the inclination of the surface. In this case, the device must be
operated under supervision to ensure that someone is able to intervene if
problems occur. Always use the safety system!
•ENERGY RWC-1 must not be used upside down.
•ENERGY RWC-1 is designed for regular cleaning of glass surfaces.
The device is not designed for intensive or initial cleaning. In addition, it is
not intended for commercial use.
• The device may not be used on wet or greasy windows.
• The device may be used to clean outside window surfaces or tall windows
provided that it is properly secured by the safety system. However, the
device may only be used in gentle wind and is not suitable for use in rainy
or snowy conditions or temperatures below 10 °C.

Connecting the adapter cable to the robot
Connect the robot’s rotating joint to the power supply unit’s connector and twist
clockwise. The power supply unit’s indicator light turns green, and the robot is
ready for use.

Installing the Safety System
Product components
If the device is to be used outside or for tall surfaces, the safety system must be
attached to the robot and to the window before use.
PLEASE NOTE: If there is a power cut lasting more than 30 minutes, the device may fall down
(the emergency battery has a battery life of approx. 30 minutes).

Preparation
Loop one end of the safety tether (2)
around the end of the power cable (1)
and tighten.
Connect end A and end B, twist clockwise
and tighten.

Loop the other end of the safety tether
(2) around the safety suction cup
(3) and tighten.
Before attaching the safety suction cup,
wipe the surface clean and dry.
If ENERGY RWC-1 is used to clean an
inside window surface, press the safety
suction cup firmly on the upper corner of
the inside window surface.
If ENERGY RWC-1 is used to clean an
outside window surface, attach the
safety suction cup firmly to the lower part
of the window for cleaning.
PLEASE NOTE: If the robot’s movement is restricted by the length of the power or adapter
cable, you may use an ENERGY RWC-1 extension cord. Disconnect ends A and B, connect
them to the respective ends of the extension cord and screw them tight.
Using the Extension Cord
If ENERGY RWC-1’s movement is restricted by the length of the power or
adapter cable, you may use an extension cord.
PLEASE NOTE: You may only use one (1) extension cord in combination with ENERGY RWC-1.

Preparing and Using the Cleaning Pads
1. Front cleaning pad

Front cleaning pad
The front cleaning pad is designed for active cleaning of the surface with special
window cleaning solutions.
Attach the front cleaning pad to the device using the hook-and-loop strip.
Lightly spray the pad with the cleaning solution.
Please ensure that the pad is properly attached.
PLEASE NOTE: The pads can be used with all standard cleaning solutions for glass surfaces.
Rear cleaning pad
This pad dries the window surface after it has been cleaned by the front cleaning
pad.
Flip the device and attach the cleaning pad to the bottom of the robot using the
hook-and-loop strip.
PLEASE NOTE: Please ensure that the cleaning pads cover neither the rubber blade nor the
robot’s edge sensors.

Connecting the robot to the mains
The robot is correctly connected to the mains when the top indicator light
flashes blue.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not disconnect the device from the mains during this time, as it might fall
to the ground.
Switching on the robot
Push down the power switch (1). The robot’s top indicator light (2) should flash
blue. ENERGY RWC-1’s suction fan is activated. The device can now be placed
on the surface that requires cleaning.

Placing the device on the window surface
Put the device on the window surface, ensuring a
minimum distance of at least 10 cm from the
window frame and other obstacles.
Start

Approx. 15 seconds after the device is placed on the surface that requires
cleaning, the top indicator light turns permanently blue. The device is now
ready to start the cleaning cycle.
You can start a cleaning cycle as follows:
• Press the Start/Stop button on the handle of the robot (2).
• Press the Start/Stop button on the remote control (3).
Selecting the cleaning mode
Automatic: Before the cleaning cycle starts, the robot registers all surface
bounds to analyse the shape of the glass surface and adapt its cleaning path
accordingly.
Selectable modes: You may use the remote control to select one of four
cleaning modes:

A. N mode: Suitable for particularly wide surfaces.
B. Z mode: Suitable for particularly tall surfaces.
C. Intensive cleaning: The robot cleans a surface five times in a row (back and
forth) over a length of approx. 30 cm.
D. Precise cleaning: The robot cleans the entire length of a window surface
over a width of 35 cm.
PLEASE NOTE: See the remote control section for more information on how to activate
cleaning modes.
Pause
In order to halt the device, press the Start/Stop button on the robot (2) or the
remote control (3).

Stop
Once ENERGY RWC-1 has completed its cleaning cycle, it will return to its
starting position and emit an audio signal.
Removing the device from the glass surface
Hold the device by the handle and press the Start/Stop button on the robot until
the vacuum fan is deactivated. Once the fan is deactivated, you can safely
remove the device.
Switching off
Flip the robot and put the power switch on the bottom of the robot in the “0”
position.
Removing the safety system
Disconnecting the device from the mains

Maintenance
In order to ensure maximum safety, the device must be switched off and
disconnected from the mains during maintenance.
Cleaning Pads
Remove the microfibre cleaning pads from the robot and soak them in fresh
water. Thoroughly rub the cleaning pads, then rinse them and leave them
to dry.
The cleaning pads are also machine washable at 30 °C. Please do not use
fabric softener. Do not tumble dry the cleaning pads.
Let the cleaning pads dry before using them with the device again. Replace the
pads once they are significantly worn or dirty.
Suction Fan, Sensors, Rubber Blade, and Drive Tracks
Suction fan
Flip the robot and wipe down the suction fan with a dry cloth in order to remove
any residual dirt. This ensures that the suction power of the robot is maintained.
Edge sensors
Flip the device and wipe down the five edge sensors with a dry cloth in order to
remove any dirt.
Rubber blade
Wipe down the rubber blade with a dry cloth in order to maintain its proper
functioning.

Maintenance
Cleaning the drive tracks
ENERGY RWC-1’s remote control has a special button for easy cleaning of the
robot’s two drive tracks.
Press the “Pause” button on the robot and then press the button for track
cleaning on the remote control. The drive tracks will start to rotate. That way,
you can clean each portion of the drive tracks with a dry cloth and check for
damage.
Edge detection sensors
Flip the robot and clean the four edge detection sensors with a dry cloth in order
to maintain their proper functioning.

The robot is connected to the mains. Its
suction system is being activated. The device
can now be placed on the surface that

Indicator light is a
permanent BLUE
The robot is properly attached to the window
surface, has completed its analysis of the
surface that requires cleaning, and is ready to
start the cleaning cycle.
Indicator light flashes RED
The robot is not connected to the mains;
please check the power connections.
Acoustic signals
The robot will emit acoustic signals in
the following situations:
• The device is live.
• The cleaning cycle has been completed.
• There is a problem.

Troubleshooting
Please contact customer service in the following situations:
• The device has been dropped, damaged, or come into contact with water.
• The adapter or power cable is damaged.
• The battery is defective.
