1) CONTENTS OF THE PACKAGE
Confirm that the following parts are included:

Note:
1. If any part is damaged, do not use it. Contact Nucu customer service:

3) NUCU STARTUP MODE
In startup mode Nucu uses:
1. Syke (heartbeat) soundscape will be played
2. Volume is set to level 2
3. Repeat mode is set On
Nucu includes the following soundscapes:
1. Syke (hearbeat)
2. Sade (rain)
3. Nuku nuku nurmilintu (Nurmilintu song)

4) HOW TO USE NUCU
All Nucu functions are managed from the control panel. After setting the desired soundscape and
volume level, place the Nucu on a flat surface and put the baby in the nest. Observe how the baby
reacts to Nucu. Do not leave the baby unattended on the Nucu.
Note:
1. Control Panel goes into sleep mode in 30 seconds if no buttons are pressed. In sleep mode
buttons are not active. In sleep mode Volume and Battery level indicator lights turns off
2. Control Panel is activated for sleep mode by pressing power button once. When
activated Volume and Battery level indicator lights turn on

Note: Nucu will not turn off if it is connected to the computer via USB cable

5) BATTERY CHARGING AND OPERATING TIME
Battery is charged using a AC adapter and USB cable. Battery can be charged while the Nucu is in
use.
Steps:
1. Connect USB cable to the:
a) AC adapter’s USB port
b) Control panel’s Micro-USB port
2. Plug AC adapter to the wall outlet. Charging the empty battery takes approximately 10 hours.
Note: The full battery lasts approximately 19 hours in use.

6) MOBILE PLAYBACK
You can connect mobile device to Nucu. Nucu will playback all the sounds from the mobile device
while connected.
Steps:
1. Connect AUX cable to the
a) Control panel’s AUX port
b) Mobile device’s AUX port
2. Select the desired audio from the mobile device and play it
Note: When the mobile device is connected to Nucu, the control panel goes into sleep mode.
Mobile device is now controlling the volume levels and audio playback.

7) ADDING SOUNDS TO NUCU AUDIO LIBRARY (WINDOWS PC)
1. Check that Nucu is powered off
2. Connect USB cable to the
a) Control panel’s Micro-USB port
b) PC’s USB port
3. Nucu will startup automatically after connecting the USB cable. Nucu now appears as a USB
device on your computer.
4. Copy your .mp3 audio files to Nucu with normal copy & paste operation.

8) HOW TO CLEAN NUCU
Nucu’s fabric parts are machine washable. Base plate can be cleaned with a disinfectant. Wash
Nucu when necessary.
Fabric material: 100% cotton. Care symbols:
Steps:
1. Open the
a) padding’s zipper
b) bottom section zipper
2. Pull out the
a) base plate and mattress

3. Wipe the base plate with a disinfectant
4. Wash the fabric parts in the washing machine
5. Allow the fabric to dry well

9) ASSEMBLING THE NUCU AFTER CLEANING
You can assemble the Nucu after cleaning when all parts are dry.
Steps:
1) Place the mattress inside the base section
2) Slide the base plate under the mattress
3) Place the padding in its place
4) Close the base section’s and padding’s zippers carefully
