nella rara eventualità che incontriate un problema, o se possiamo assistervi in qualsiasi modo, non esitate a rivolgervi al
nostro reparto di assistenza ai clienti. Per i dettagli del centro a voi più vicino fate riferimento ai numeri riportati sul retro
del presente manuale.
LA SICUREZZA PRIMA DI TUTTO
Prima di accingervi ad utilizzare questo utensile elettrico, adottate sempre le seguenti fondamentali misure di sicurezza,

CERTIFICATO DI GARANZIA
La ditta produttrice garantisce la macchina per 2 anni a partire dalla data d’acquisto. Questa garanzia non copre le
macchine destinate al noleggio. Ci impegniamo a sostituire eventuali parti che risultino imperfette per guasti o difetti di
fabbricazione. In nessun caso la garanzia comprenderà il rimborso o il pagamento di danni, diretti o indiretti. Sono inoltre
esclusi dalla garanzia: accessori di consumo, uso improprio, uso per scopi professionali e costi sostenuti per il trasporto
e l’imballaggio dell’apparecchiatura, che saranno sempre a carico del cliente. Eventuali articoli inviati per riparazioni con
trasporto a carico del ricevente non saranno accettati. Si intende inoltre che qualora la macchina venisse in qualsiasi
modo modificata o utilizzata con accessori non approvati dalla ditta produttrice, la garanzia ne verrà automaticamente
invalidata. La ditta produttrice declina ogni responsabilità civile derivante dall’uso improprio della macchina o dalla
mancata osservanza delle istruzioni pertinenti il funzionamento, le impostazioni e la manutenzione. L’assistenza sotto
garanziaèammissibilesoloselarichiestavienepresentataalserviziopost-venditaautorizzatoedèaccompagnatadalla
prova d’acquisto. Si raccomanda subito dopo l’acquisto del prodotto di controllare che sia integro e di leggere attentamente
le istruzioni d’uso prima di utilizzarlo.

verificarsi di incidenti. I banchi di lavoro devono

particolare dove il pavimento è scivoloso a causa di
segatura o di cera.

Proteggersi dalle scosse elettriche

Fare attenzione ai bambini e agli
animali domestici
I bambini e gli animali domestici devono essere
tenuti fuori dall’area di lavoro. Ai bambini non deve
essere permesso di toccare o azionare il macchinario
o di toccare cavi di prolunga.
Tutti gli elettroutensili devono essere tenuti fuori
dalla portata dei bambini. Quando non sono in uso,

lavoro di un utensile per servizio pesante. Non
utilizzare gli utensili per scopi a cui non erano stati
destinati; per esempio non utilizzare una sega
circolare per tagliare rami o tronchi d’albero.
Sicurezza personale
nell’abbigliamento
Non indossare abbigliamento o gioielleria sciolti, o
qualsiasi cosa che possa rimanere impigliata nel
macchinario in movimento.
Capelli
I capelli lunghi devono essere legati dietro la testa o
raccolti in un copricapo di protezione.
Protezione oculare
L’uso di occhiali protettivi di sicurezza è un requisito
obbligatorio (gli occhiali normali non sono sufficienti
per la protezione oculare). Gli occhiali per la vista
non sono dotati di lenti di sicurezza.
Protezione auricolare
Nel caso che l’utensile sia azionato per lunghi
periodi di tempo viene consigliato l’uso di una
protezione auricolare.
Calzature
Dove ci sia il pericolo che oggetti pesanti
danneggino i piedi, o se c’è il pericolo di scivolare su
pavimenti umidi o sdrucciolevoli, dovranno essere
indossate adatte calzature di sicurezza antiscivolo.
Protezione della testa
Dove ci sia il pericolo di caduta di oggetti, o di
colpire con la testa delle ostruzioni sporgenti o a
basso livello, dev’essere indossato un elmetto da
edile.
Protezione respiratoria
Quando la lavorazione produce della polvere,
indossare una mascherina antipolvere. Durante la
lavorazione di calcestruzzo, di tavole di fibra
artificiale, specialmente di MDF (Medium Density
Fibreboard), la resina utilizzata in questi materiali
può essere pericolosa per la salute. Utilizzare una
maschera facciale approvata con filtro sostituibile.
Apparecchiature di aspirazione della
polvere
Se la macchina è dotata di dispositivi di aspirazione
e di raccolta della polvere, accertarsi che questi siano
correttamente collegati e utilizzati.
Non maltrattare il cavo di
alimentazione
Non strattonare o tirare il cavo di alimentazione per
scollegarlo dalla presa di alimentazione di rete. Non
trasportare mai l’elettroutensile afferrandone il cavo
di alimentazione. Tenere il cavo di alimentazione
lontano da fonti di calore, olio, solventi e spigoli vivi.
Se il cavo di alimentazione rimane danneggiato,
farlo sostituire da un servizio di manutenzione
autorizzato.
Fissare il pezzo da lavorare
Fissare sempre il pezzo da lavorare utilizzando dei
morsetti o una morsa. Questo è più sicuro che
utilizzare le mani, e le lascia libere per maneggiare
l’elettroutensile.
Non estendersi eccessivamente
Non estendersi eccessivamente, mantenere un punto
d’appoggio corretto e conservare sempre
l’equilibrio.
Eseguire sempre una accurata
manutenzione degli utensili
Mantenere affilati e puliti gli utensili da taglio onde
ottenerne le prestazioni migliori e più sicure.
Seguire le istruzioni di lubrificazione e sostituzione

Esaminare periodicamente i cavi di prolunga e
sostituirli se danneggiati.
Mantenere le impugnature asciutte, pulite e prive di
olio e grasso.
Accertarsi che le fessure di ventilazione siano sempre
mantenute pulite e prive di polvere. Le fessure di
ventilazione bloccate possono causare il
surriscaldamento e il danneggiamento del motore.
Non forzare l’elettroutensile
L’elettroutensile farà un lavoro migliore e più sicuro
e darà un servizio migliore se è utilizzato alla velocità
per cui è stato progettato.
Scollegare gli elettroutensili
Accertarsi che gli elettroutensili siano scollegati
dall’alimentazione di rete quando non vengono
utilizzati, prima della manutenzione, lubrificazione o
regolazione e quando si sostituiscono accessori quali
lame, punte e frese.
Togliere le chiavi e le chiavette
Abituarsi a controllare sempre che le chiavette e le

Evitare le partenze involontarie
Accertarsi che l’interruttore sia nella posizione di
SPENTO prima di collegare l’elettroutensile

Cavi e bobine di prolunga
NON utilizzare cavi o bobine di prolunga a due
conduttori per gli elettroutensili con un percorso di
terra. Utilizza sempre un cavo o bobina di prolunga
a tre conduttori con il filo di terra collegato a terra.
Quando l’elettroutensile deve essere utilizzato
all’aperto, utilizzare solo cavi di prolunga destinati
all’uso all’aperto e marcati conformemente.
Srotolare sempre completamente
l’eventuale cavo di prolunga
Per i cavi di prolunga fino a 15 metri utilizzare
conduttori di sezione trasversale di 1,5 mm2.
Per i cavi di prolunga più lunghi di 15 metri, ma
meno di 40 metri, utilizzare conduttori di sezione
trasversale di 2,5 mm2.
Se la prolunga è danneggiata, sostituirla prima di
utilizzare l’elettroutensile.
Proteggere il cavo di prolunga da oggetti affilati,
calore eccessivo e dall’esposizione all’umidità o
all’acqua.
Rimanere vigili
Guardare quello che si sta facendo, usare il proprio
buon senso e non azionare l’elettroutensile quando
si è stanchi, nel caso che si assumano dei
medicamenti che causano sonnolenza, quando si
abbia ingerito alcool o si sia in stato di
intossicazione da droghe.
Ispezionare le parti danneggiate
Prima di utilizzare ulteriormente l’elettroutensile,
questo deve essere controllato con attenzione per
accertarsi che funzioni correttamente e operi
conformemente al suo uso specifico.
Controllare l’allineamento corretto delle parti in
movimento, accertarsi che non siano inceppate,
controllare che non ci siano componenti rotti e che
l’elettroutensile sia montato correttamente.
Verificare qualsiasi altra condizione che possa
influire sul funzionamento dell’elettroutensile.
Una protezione, o qualsiasi altra parte
dell’elettroutensile che sia danneggiata, deve essere

ISTRUZIONI SPECIFICHE PER LA
SICUREZZA DEL TAGLIAPIASTRELLE
Controllare di aver scollegato tutti gli elettroutensili
dalla rete elettrica quando non li si usa, prima di
ripararli, lubrificarli o prima di apportare modifiche e
inoltre prima di cambiare accessori come lame,
punte e frese.
Non fermare la lama forzando la macchina oppure
esercitando pressione laterale.
Non installare mole di rettifica o di taglio su questa
macchina. Usare sempre la lama di tipo corretto per
l’operazione desiderata.
Non usare lame piegate o danneggiate in alcun
modo; questo è molto pericoloso e potrebbe
arrecare serio infortunio all’addetto o alle persone
nelle vicinanze, e inoltre danneggiare la macchina.
Utilizzare esclusivamente lame del tipo consigliato
dal fornitore e che siano in buone condizioni.
Non usare lame più grandi del diametro specificato.
Utilizzare unicamente lame idonee per questa
macchina. La velocità di rotazione indicata sulla
lama deve sempre essere MAGGIORE rispetto alla
velocità di rotazione del tagliapiastrelle .
Controllare che la freccia stampigliata sulla lama
corrisponda al senso di rotazione del motore.
Isolare la macchina dall’alimentazione elettrica e poi
ruotare manualmente la lama, per verificare che non
vi siano impedimenti.
Controllare che le protezioni mobili funzionino
liberamente, senza incepparsi.
Tenere le protezioni in posizione ed in buone
condizioni. Scollegare la macchina dalla presa
elettrica e poi verificare che la protezione funzioni
nel modo corretto.
Mantenere sempre puliti l’albero portalama e i
collarini della lama.
Ogni volta che si cambia la lama, controllare che la
rientranza sul collarino si appoggi bene contro la
superficie della lama. Verificare che il bullone di
fermo della lama sia ben stretto. Non stringere
eccessivamente il bullone.
Utilizzare esclusivamente le lame del tipo consigliato
dal produttore.
Non mettere in moto l’elettroutensile con la lama a
contatto col pezzo in lavorazione.
Non cercare mai di tagliare a mano libera;
controllare che la piastrella da tagliare sia sempre
saldamente appoggiata contro la guida di appoggio.
Verificare che il pezzo più piccolo della piastrella da
tagliare abbia sufficiente spazio per muoversi
lateralmente. In caso contrario, il pezzo tagliato
potrebbe grippare la lama.
Non tagliare mai più di una piastrella alla volta.
Non tagliare mai pezzi troppo piccoli da non poter
essere tenuti fermamente appoggiati contro la guida
di appoggio, senza aver spazio sufficiente per tenere
le mani a una distanza sicura dalla lama.
Controllare che il piano della macchina sia libero,
fatta eccezione per la piastrella da tagliare.
Se un pezzo dovesse incastrarsi, scollegare la
macchina dall’alimentazione elettrica prima di
estrarre il pezzo incastrato. Non tentare mai di
estrarre pezzi incastrati con la macchina ancora in
funzione.
Non lasciare mai che la lama tagli a secco. Se l’acqua
nella macchina si esaurisce, la lama si surriscalda, col
risultato di creare danni e di un taglio di qualità

Montaggio del cuneo/protezione della
lama
Inserire il cuneo nel tavolo, in modo che la sua parte
filettata venga a trovarsi sotto la superficie del
piano.
Ora inserire le due viti di fermo (Fig. 2) ed allineare il
cuneo con la lama, verificando che non vi siano più
di 5mm fra la lama e il cuneo. Non usare la
macchina se prima non si è installata la protezione
della lama.
Come avviare e fermare il
tagliapiastrelle
Collegare la macchina un’alimentazione di tensione
e frequenza corrette (230V 50Hz).
Per avviare la macchina, premere il pulsante verde
“I” (Fig. 3).
Per fermare la macchina, premere il pulsante rosso
“O” (Fig. 3).
NB: Questa macchina è provvista di un interruttore
di scatto a “tensione zero”. Se la corrente viene a
mancare, l’interruttore scatta ed occorrerà risettare il
tagliapiastrelle quando ritorna la corrente. Questo
sistema elimina il rischio di avvio imprevisto della
macchina.

Durante l’uso della fresa per piastrelle, indossare
indumenti protettivi impermeabili.

Come riempire il vassoio dell’acqua
Per togliere il vassoio, sfilarlo verso l’esterno fino a
quando non viene a contatto con la sede della lama
(Fig. 4).
Sollevare il lato della macchina col vassoio, fino a
quando non diventa possibile togliere del tutto il
vassoio. Ora riempire il vassoio per _ di acqua. Non
aggiungere sostanze chimiche o detersivi all’acqua.
Rimettere il vassoio ripetendo a ritroso la procedura
di estrazione.
Come tagliare con il tagliapiastrelle
Regolare la guida parallela di appoggio alla
larghezza desiderata rispetto alla lama, facendo
riferimento ai segni graduati sulla superficie del
tavolo. Per regolare, allentare le due manopole di
fermo (Fig. 5) poste su ciascuna delle estremità. NB:
I segni graduati sono un semplice riferimento. Per
maggiore precisione si consiglia di utilizzare una
seconda riga graduata. Appoggiare bene la piastrella
da tagliare contro la guida pezzo e poi farla passare
attraverso la lama con un movimento continuo. Non
forzare un taglio troppo rapido della piastrella.
Come tagliare obliquamente
Seguire la stessa procedura per il taglio in linea retta,
ma utilizzare la guida per taglio obliquo insieme alla
guida parallela di appoggio (Fig. 6). Controllare di

tenere fermamente la piastrella all’interno della
guida prima di procedere al taglio.
Come tagliare inclinando il piano
Allentare le due manopole che bloccano il piano
(davanti e dietro). Inclinare il piano all’angolo
desiderato, servendosi della scala riportata sul piano
(Fig. 7). Rifissare il piano e procedere al taglio nel
modo sopra descritto.
Come sostituire la lama
Attenzione!
Prima di regolare o di eseguire la manutenzione
della macchina, disinserire sempre la spina dalla
presa elettrica.
Per togliere la lama, asportare il coprilama laterale
togliendo le due viti di fermo (Fig. 8).
Ora tenere l’estremità dell’albero portalama e
togliere il dado di fermo della lama utilizzando
chiavi di tipo idoneo (Fig. 9). Controllare che l’albero
e le flange siano pulite e rimontare la lama
invertendo la procedura di estrazione.
Manutenzione
Una volta completate le procedure di taglio e prima
di riporre la macchina, si consiglia di pulirla a fondo.
Svuotare il vassoio per l’acqua e ripulire tutti i residui
di piastrelle. Ora pulire la lama con un panno pulito
e asciutto. Si consiglia inoltre di applicare sul piano e
superficie della lama un leggero strato di cera del
tipo per carrozzerie auto.

Do not connect the brown live or blue neutral to the earth pin MARKED E

Live (L). Connect the Green and Yellow wire to the terminal marked Earth E. Ensure that the outer
insulation is gripped by the cord grip and that the wires are not trapped when replacing the plug cover. The

Work Area
Cluttered benches and work areas invite accidents.
Workbenches should be kept tidy. Floors should be
kept clean and free from rubbish. Special care
should be taken where the floor is slippery due to

Do not expose your power tools to rain, or use in
damp or wet locations. Keep the work area well lit.
Do not use power tools in areas where there is a risk

give you much better service if it is used at the rate
for which it was designed.
Use the right tool
Select the right tool for the job. Do not use a tool
for a job for which it was not designed. Do not force
a small tool to do the job of a heavy-duty tool. Do
not use tools for purposes not intended; for example
do not use a circular saw to cut tree limbs or logs.
Personal safety
Clothing
Do not wear loose clothing, jewellery or anything
that could get caught in moving machinery.
Hair
Long hair should be tied back or contained in a
protective covering.
Eye Protection
The use of safety goggles is a mandatory
requirement (normal glasses are not sufficient for
eye protection). Prescription spectacles do not have
safety lenses.
Ear Protection
Ear protection is advised during periods of extended
operation.
Footwear
Where there is a risk of heavy objects damaging feet
or if there is a risk of slipping on wet or slippery
floors suitable non-slip safety footwear should be
worn.
Head Protection
Where there is a risk of falling objects or hitting your
head on protruding or low level obstructions a hard
hat should be worn.

Respiratory Protection
When the machining operation creates dust, wear a
dust mask. When machining concrete, man made
fibre boards, especially MDF (Medium Density Fibre
Board) the resin used in these materials can be
hazardous to your health. Use an approved face
mask with replaceable filter.
Dust Extraction Equipment
If the machine is fitted with dust extraction and
collection facilities ensure that these are properly
connected and used.
Do Not Abuse the Power Cord
Never yank or pull on the power cord to disconnect
it from the mains supply socket. Never carry your
power tool by its power cord. Keep the power cord
away from heat, oil, solvents and sharp edges. If the
power cord becomes damaged have it replaced by
an authorised service facility.
Secure the Work Piece
Wherever possible secure the work piece using
clamps or a vice. It is safer than using your hand and
leaves both hands free to control the power tool.
Do Not Over-reach
Do not over-reach, keep proper footing and
maintain your balance at all times.
Maintain Tools with Care
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for better and
safer performance.
Follow the instructions for lubricating and changing
accessories.
Check the tool power cord periodically and if
damaged have it replaced by an authorised service
facility.
Inspect extension cords periodically and if damaged
replace it.
Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
Ensure that ventilation slots are kept clean and free
from dust at all times. Blocked ventilation slots can
cause overheating and damage to the motor.
Disconnect Power Tools
Ensure that power tools are disconnected from the
mains supply when not in use, before servicing,
lubricating or making adjustments and when
changing accessories such as blades, bits and
cutters.
Remove Adjusting Keys and Wrenches
Form the habit of always checking to see that keys
and adjusting wrenches are removed from the
power tool before turning it on.
Avoid Unintentional Starting
Ensure that the switch is in the OFF position before
plugging the power tool into the mains supply.
Extension Cords and Reels
DO NOT use 2 core extension cords or reels on
power tools with an earth path. Always use a 3 core
extension cord or reel with the earth core connected
to earth.
When the power tool is to be used outdoors, use
only extension cords intended for outdoor use and
are so marked.
Always unwind any extension cords fully.
For extension cords upto 15 metres use a wire cross
section of 1.5mm2.
For extension cords over 15 metres but less than 40
metres use a wire cross section of 2.5mm2
Always replace a damaged extension cord before
using it.
Protect your extension cord from sharp objects,
excessive heat and damp or wet locations.
Stay Alert
Watch what you are doing, use common sense, and
do not operate the power tool when you are tired, if
taking medication that causes drowsiness, when
having consumed alcohol or taken drugs.
Check Damaged Parts
Before using the power tool it should be carefully
checked to determine that it will operate properly
and perform its intended function.

Check for the correct alignment of moving parts
ensuring they do not bind. Check for broken or
missing parts and have them replaced or repaired at
an authorised service centre. If the power tool
requires mounting make sure it is securely attached
to a suitable work bench. Check any other condition
that may affect the operation of the power tool.
A guard or any other part of the power tool that is
damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by
an authorised service centre unless otherwise
indicated in this instruction manual.
Any switch that does not operate correctly must be
replaced by an authorised service centre.
Do not use the power tool if the ON/OFF switch does
not turn the power tool ON and OFF.

observed. As a precaution it is recommended that an
expert is consulted on obtaining and using a suitable

SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Ensure that power tools are disconnected from the
mains supply when not in use, before servicing,
lubricating or making adjustments and when
changing accessories such as blades, bits and
cutters.
Do Not stop the blade by forcing the machine or by
using sideways pressure.
Do Not fit grinding or cutting discs to this machine.
Always use the correct type of blade for the
operation to be carried out.
Do Not use blades that are bent or damaged in any
way. This is highly dangerous and could result in a
serious accident causing injury to the operator,
bystanders and damage to the machine.
Only use blades that are recommended by the
supplier and that are in good condition.
Do Not use blades that are larger than specified.
Only use blades that are rated for the machine. The
rotational speed shown on the blade should always
be HIGHER than the rotational speed of the tile
cutter.
Ensure that the directional arrow marked on the
blade corresponds with the rotational direction of
the motor.
With the machine isolated from the mains supply,
rotate the blade by hand to ensure that it is free
from obstruction
Ensure that movable guards operate freely without
jamming.
Keep Guards in place and in good working order.
With the machine disconnected from the mains
supply check the operation of the guard to ensure
that it operates correctly.
Always keep the blade securing arbour and collars
clean.
Whenever replacing blades ensure that the recessed
surface of the blade collar fits snugly against the
surface of the blade. Ensure that the blade securing
bolt is securely tightened. Do not over tighten.
Use only blades that are recommended by the
manufacturer.
Do Not start the machine with the blade in contact
with the work piece.
Never try to cut free hand, always ensure that the
tile to be cut is pressed firmly against the guide
fence.
Ensure that the smaller piece of tile being cut off has
sufficient room to move sideways. Failure do this
may result in the off cut binding against the blade.
Never cut more than one tile at a time.

Never cut pieces too small to be held securely
against the guide fence without leaving enough
space for your hands to be a safe distance from the
blade.
Ensure that the machine table is clear except for the
tile being cut.
If any pieces become jammed isolate the machine
from the mains supply before clearing the jammed
piece. Never try to remove jammed pieces with the
machine still running.
Never allow the blade to run dry. Failure to keep the
water tray topped up will result in the blade
overheating resulting in damage to the blade and a

Insert the riving knife into the table so that the
threaded section of the knife is under the surface of
the table.
Insert the two securing screws (Pic 2) and align the
knife with the blade ensuring that there is a gap of
no more than 5mm between the blade and the
riving knife. Do not use the machine without the
blade guard fitted.
Starting and stopping
Connect the unit to a power supply of the correct
voltage and frequency (230V 50Hz).
To start the machine press the green button marked
“I” (Pic 3).
To stop the machine press the red button marked
“O” (Pic 3).
N.B This machine is fitted with a “no volt” release
switch. In the event of a mains power failure the
switch will release and will need to be reset when
power is restored. This eliminates the possibility of
the machine starting up unexpectedly.

Components and controls (Pic 1)
Filling the water tray
To remove the tray, slide it outwards until it comes
into contact with the blade housing (Pic 4),
Lift the tray side of the machine until the tray can be
removed completely. Fill the tray to 3/4 full with
water. Do not add chemicals or detergents to the
water. Insert the tray in the opposite manner to
removal.
Making a cut
Adjust the parallel guide fence to the desired width
from the blade using the scale rules on the table
surface for reference. To adjust loosen the two
securing knobs (Pic 5) (one at each end). N.B The
scale rules are for reference only. For improved
accuracy it is advised that a secondary rule should be
used.
Position the tile firmly against the rip fence and pass
through the blade in a smooth action. Do not force
the tile to be cut too quickly.

Making a mitre cut
Follow the same procedure for a straight cut but
employ the mitre guide in conjunction with parallel
guide fence (Pic 6). Ensure that the tile is held firmly
into the guide before making the cut.
Cutting with the table at an angle
Loosen the two table securing knobs (front and
rear). Tilt the table to the desired angle using the
scale on the table (Pic 7). Re-secure the table and
make the cut as before.
Changing the blade
Warning!
Disconnect the power supply before making
adjustments or maintaining the machine.
To remove the blade, remove the side cover by
removing the two securing screws (Pic 8),
Hold the end of the blade arbor and remove the
blade-securing nut with suitable wrenches
(Pic 9). Ensure that the arbor and flanges are clean
and re-fit the blade in the opposite manner to
removal.
Maintenance
When all cutting has been completed and before
storing the machine, it is advisable to thoroughly
clean the machine. Empty the water tray and clean
away any tile slurry. Clean the tile cutter with a clean
dry cloth. It is also advisable to give the table and
surface of the machine a light coating of automobile
type wax polish
