NuWave Cast Iron Grill: Classic Cookware Reimagined
Known in Europe since the late 7th century (and long before that in Asia) for the
ability to retain heat and handle high temperatures, as well as sheer durability
and non-stick properties if seasoned, cast-iron cookware from cauldrons and pots
to skillets and grills has a long and varied history, with its latest form being the
NuWave Cast Iron Grill, which:
• Collects and removes fats, oils and grease from the grilling surface into its
deep grooves, leaving your food healthier and tastier;
• Has removeable silicone cool-to-touch handles;
• Can handle heat from the PIC up to 575˚F, and up to 800°F in an oven;
• Is easy to clean with its vegetable oil-based pre-seasoning; and
• Is induction-ready. CAST IRON GRILL

ASSEMBLY
Attach the Silicone Handle Covers
to the Cast Iron Grill
1. Locate the two cast iron handles at
each end of the Cast Iron Grill.
2. Slide the silicone handle covers
over them, making sure to
completely cover the metal.
3. Reverse the steps in order to
remove the handles. Always make
sure that the grill is cool before
attempting to install or remove the
handles.
4. The Silicone Handle Covers are
designed to reduce the heat on the
handles during stovetop cooking.
When placed in the oven, always
handle the Cast Iron Grill using
protective oven mitts.
1. Do not allow children near appliances while cooking.
2. To avoid injury, always use caution when handling cookware.
3. The handle covers of this cookware are constructed to minimize heat transfer,
however they may become hot during prolonged cooking. For your safety,
always assume all grill parts are heated before handling. Use oven mitts or
pot holders when removing from heat source.
4. Always allow cookware to cool before washing or storing.
5. Always keep an eye on your food as it cooks, in case you need to adjust the
cooking temperature.
6. Beware of popping or splattering oil.
7. Do not use the NuWave Cast Iron Grill for any purpose other than that for
which it was designed.
8. To avoid excess smoke, always make sure the Grill is clean prior to use.
9. Always place the Grill and the induction cooktop you are using on a stable,
level, non-metallic surface.
10. The Cast Iron Grill is completely oven safe and compatible with all types of
cooktops (see below) simply by removing the silicone handles.

Where Can I Find the Best
Induction Cooktop Recipes?
The NuWave Precision Induction
Cookbook contains recipes created
specially for induction cooking. For

www.NuWaveCookingClub.com.
Using the Cast Iron Grill
Seasoning your cast iron cookware
before you use it, and on a regular
basis thereafter, is very important. That
coating you put onto it will prevent the
iron from rusting, increasing the longev-
ity of the pan, but it will give you a more
immediate reward for that extra bit of
effort: a smooth, truly nonstick nish.
Since your grill arrives pre-seasoned,
follow these steps to reseason it when
necessary (or change the seasoning oil
if you are allergic to soy products):
1. Wash and dry the grill thoroughly,
making sure no previous seasoning
remains on the cooking surface
2. Rub a very thin, even layer of
cooking oil into the cooking surface
of the cast iron grill. If you use too
much oil, your cookware may be-
come sticky.
3. Place the cookware in the oven,
upside down, on the top rack, and a
large baking sheet or aluminum foil
on the bottom rack underneath.
4. Bake at 450°F–500 degrees F for
one hour, then allow the grill to cool.
Now your cast iron grill is seasoned and
ready for use.
The Cast Iron Grill is
completely oven safe and
compatible with all types of
cooktops simply by removing
the silicone handles.
