1.0 IMPORTANT SAFETY MESSAGES
1. To avoid electric shock and fire, DO NOT clean and immerse the appliance
in water, any other liquids, or (flammable) detergents.
2. DO NOT spray any flammable materials such as insecticides, indoor
aerosol repellent, or fragrance near the appliance.
3. Keep the appliance away from fireplaces, heating devices, gas appliances,
flammable gas, chemical fumes, combustible vapours, and corrosive
substances.
4. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance rating label is consistent
with the local power voltage, before you connect the appliance.
5. If the power supply cord is damaged, please stop using the appliance.
Any repairs must be completed by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Otherwise, the
appliance must be disposed of.
6. DO NOT use this appliance if you hear unusual noises or smell burning
odours.
7. This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they are being superved or instructed concerning the
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Cleaning and
maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Children
should not use the appliance.
8. This appliance contains a UV-C emitter. The replacement of the UV-C
emitter cannot be undertaken by the user.
9. Unintended use of the appliance or damage to the housing may result in
the escape of dangerous UV-C radiation. UV-C radiation may, even in little
doses, cause harm to eyes and skin.
10. DO NOT attempt to repair, replace or modify any electrical or mechanical
functions, including the UV-C emitter, of this appliance. The inside of the
unit does not contain user serviceable parts.
11. DO NOT block or cover the air inlet, air outlet and other openings of the
appliance with objects.
12. DO NOT place any items on top or in front of the air outlet.
13. DO NOT drop foreign objects into the appliance through the air outlet or
inlet.
14. DO NOT insert fingers or objects into the air inlet, air outlet and other
openings of the appliance.
15. This appliance is not a substitute for proper ventilation, regular vacuum
cleaning, or use of a cooking range hood.
16. Always place and use the appliance on a dry, stable, level and horizontal
surface. Leave at least 30cm free space around the appliance and at least
50cm free space above the appliance.

17. DO NOT sit or place anything on top of the appliance.
18. DO NOT place the appliance directly below an air conditioner.
19. DO NOT knock the appliance with hard objects. DO NOT use the
appliance after it has been dropped or damaged.
20. This appliance is only intended for household use under normal
conditions.
21. DO NOT use the appliance outdoors. It is for use indoors only. DO NOT
use the appliance in wet and very humid places such as a bathroom or
sauna room.
22. DO NOT use the appliance in greasy environments such as in the kitchen.
The appliance is not intended to filter oil or grease from the air.
23. Before moving the appliance, cleaning the appliance, replacing the filter,
or storing the appliance, always turn o the air purifier first and unplug the
power plug from wall outlet. Please turn o the appliance at the wall outlet
during storms and for long unused periods.
24. DO NOT remove the power plug from wall outlet by pulling the power
cord. Grip the plug to remove it from the power socket.
25. DO NOT remove the power plug from a wall outlet with wet hands.
26. DO NOT operate the appliance control panel with wet hands.
27. Insert the power plug into the wall socket all the way to the base.
28. DO NOT run the power cord under carpet. DO NOT cover the power cord
with throw rugs, runners or similar coverings. Keep the power cord away
from high trac areas so it is less likely to be tripped over.
29. DO NOT let the power cord hang over the edge of a bench, touch hot
surfaces or become tangled.
30. Keep the appliance and filter clean.
31. DO NOT use this appliance without the filter. Only use the original NX
filter specifically intended for this appliance. DO NOT use any other
unauthorised filter.
32. Dispose of all packaging materials responsibly after unpacking. This
includes the plastic packaging covering the filter inside the unit which
must be removed before first time use.
33. Before turning on the power supply, make sure that the filter and filter
cover are properly installed.

2.0 THE AIR PURIFIER
Thank you for purchasing the NX-100AP Smart Air Purifier. We hope you enjoy
the health and wellbeing benefits of pure, crisp air, being circulated through your
home.
We will refer to the NX Smart Air Purifier as the NX-100AP Air Purifier, the air
purifier, the appliance, or this appliance, throughout the remainder of this manual.

4.2 INSTALLING THE FILTER
You must remove the plastic packaging of the filter before use. Make sure
the air purifier is unplugged from the power outlet before installing the filter.
1. Remove the back cover by gently pulling the recess handle and
dislodging all side and bottom latches.
2. Rotate the base in an anti-clockwise direction to its unlocked
position (Open).
3. Pull the filter out from the appliance. Remove its packaging if
any.
4. Install a (new) filter back into the appliance with its bottom plate
facing down.
5. Rotate the base clockwise to lock the filter in place. Re-install
the back cover.

4.3 PLACING THE AIR PURIFIER
It is recommended to keep doors and windows closed for an optimal
purifying eect when using the appliance.
• Always place and use the appliance on a dry, stable, level and
horizontal surface.
• Leave at least 30cm free space around the appliance
• Leave at least 50cm free space above the appliance.
4.4 CONNECTING THE POWER
Insert the power plug into an electrical outlet all the way to the base. Power
on the electrical outlet.
4.5 SETTING POWER ON AND OFF
Close doors and windows for optimum air purification eect.
Press the power button to turn on or o the appliance.
The appliance will beep once every time you touch the power button. The
LCD screen first displays the remaining filter life in percentage.
After the appliance is turned on, it will work in Auto mode by default. The
ring light on the LCD screen will display the light colour corresponding to
the PM2.5 value as detected by the laser sensor. The LCD screen will light
up and display the icon corresponding to each function or active mode.
Note: If the appliance remains powered on at the electrical outlet but
switched o via the appliance's power button, it will work in its last state
before shutdown when it is switched on again.

appliance power cord by grasping the plug from the wall socket and

4.6 SETTING FAN MODE AND SPEED
When the appliance is switched on, it will beep once every time you touch
the fan speed button.
Touch the button to change the fan speed and cycle through the options of
Auto, Sleep, Medium (Mid) and High mode.
In Auto mode, the appliance will select the fan speed in accordance with
the ambient air quality.
In Sleep mode, the air purifier will operate quietly at a low speed for a
comfortable sleeping environment.
4.7 SETTING POWER OFF TIMER
When the appliance is switched on, it can be set to switch o with a
countdown timer. The appliance will beep once every time you touch the
timer button.
The countdown timer can be set to one of its setting options below.
2H | 4H | 6H | 8H | 10H | 12H | 24H | OFF
After a timer has been set, long press the timer button to cancel the timer
setting.
4.8 SETTING UV AND IONISER (ANION) ON AND OFF
When the appliance is switched on, it will beep once every time you touch
the UV/Anion button. The setting options are as follow.
Only anion turns on | Only UV turns on | both anion and UV turn on | both
functions turn o
When the UV function is selected, it will automatically work in a 2-hour on,
2-hour o pattern.

5.0 REPLACING THE FILTER
When the NX-100AP air purifier is switched on,
the LCD screen will display the remaining service
life of the filter.
After the air purifier has run for more than 2200
hours, the filter lifetime counter reaches 0% and
the indicator light will flash in yellow, indicating
that the filter is due for replacement.
Only use the original NX filter specifically
intended for this appliance. Do not use any other
unauthorised filter.

5.1 STEPS TO REPLACE FILTER
IMPORTANT NOTE:
• Turn o power and unplug the air purifier before replacing the filter.
• The filter is not washable or reusable.
1. Remove the back cover by gently pulling the recess handle. Dislodge all
side and bottom latches.
2. Rotate the base anti-clockwise in the direction marked ‘Open’. Discard the
used filter.
3. Remove the packaging of the new filter.
4. Install the new filter into the filter compartment. Rotate the base clockwise
in the direction marked ‘Close’.
5. Re-install the back cover.
6. You now need to reset the filter service life. Insert the power plug into
a wall socket and turn on wall power. Press the Power button on the
control panel. The screen will display 0% filter lifetime. Long press the
Fan Speed button until the appliance beeps once, indicating the filter
lifetime counter has been successfully reset.

HARD FILTER RESET
If the filter must be replaced before reaching its lifespan, please follow the steps
below to perform a hard reset on the filter lifetime counter.
1. Touch the Power button to turn o the appliance.
2. Turn o wall power to the appliance. Wait for at least 15 seconds.
3. Turn on wall power to the appliance. Within 30 seconds of power on,
long press both the Fan Speed button and the Power button
together for 5 seconds until the appliance beeps once.
4. Press the Power button once. The LCD screen will show a flashing
yellow light and display 1% filter lifetime.
5. Long press the Fan Speed button for 7 seconds until the appliance
beeps once and turns on. The filter lifetime counter will be reset to 100%.
6.0 CARE AND MAINTENANCE
WARNINGS
• Always turn o wall power and unplug the appliance before carrying out any
maintenance.
• Do not immerse the appliance into water or any liquid.
• Do not use abrasive, corrosive, flammable cleaning agents, alkaline detergent
thinner, bleaching agent, alcohol, gasoline, and other solvents to clean any
parts of the appliance.
• Do not wash the filter.
• Do not allow water or liquid to drip into the appliance via the air outlet.
6.1 CLEANING SCHEDULE
6.2 CLEANING THE SURFACE OF THE APPLIANCE
To prevent dust gathering and ensure optimal ventilation, it is suggested to clean
the exterior and the filter compartment regularly.
• Use a vacuum cleaner or a soft, dry cloth to remove any dust from the air inlets
or the filter compartment.
• Clean the air outlet cover with a soft, dry cloth.
FREQUENCY CLEANING METHOD
As required Clean the air outlet top cover. Wipe the surface of the
appliance with a soft dry cloth.
Once a month Clean the surface of the filter.

6.3 CLEANING THE SURFACE OF THE FILTER
• Warning! If you use a high-power suction or industrial vacuum cleaner, it
can damage the filter. Do not wash the filter.
You can wipe the surface of the filter with a soft wet cloth. Clean the dust
absorbed on the outer surface of the filter by gently patting the filter
outdoors.
6.4 STORING THE APPLIANCE
To store, leave the appliance covered to protect it from dust collection.
Store the appliance in a cool dry location.
7.0 TROUBLESHOOTING
The following section outlines the most common problems you could encounter
with the product. Please contact customer care if you are unable to solve the issue
according to the following information.
Problem Possible Solution
The screen displays a
flashing yellow ring light
• It may be that the filter lifetime counter has not been
reset after the filter has been replaced. Please refer to
Chapter 5 'Replacing the Filter' for instructions on how
to reset the filter lifetime counter.
No air comes out of the
air outlet
• The appliance is not powered. Check that the power
plug is fully inserted into a wall socket and switch on
the power supply. Then press the power button on the
control panel.
• The filter lifetime counter reaches 0%, but you have not
replaced the filter. Please replace the used filter and
reset the filter lifetime counter.
Cannot take out the filter • Turn the rotatable base inside the filter compartment
anti-clockwise to the direction marked ‘Open’. Then pull
out the filter.
Loud noise • Before use, check to ensure that the filter in the filter
compartment has been taken out from its packaging.
• Check that the air outlet is not blocked by any object.
• Check that the appliance is not tilted.
• Try choosing a lower speed setting to suit preference.

Problem Possible Solution
Weak airflow • The surface of the filter is dirty. Perform cleaning.
• The air inlet of the appliance is dirty. Perform cleaning.
• The appliance is set to sleep mode. Change the Fan
setting.
The appliance produces
a strange smell
• The appliance may produce a plastic smell the first few
times it is used. This is normal.
• The filter may produce a smell after being used for a
prolonged time due to the absorption of indoor gases.
Please replace the filter.
• If the appliance produces a burning smell, please stop
using it and unplug from power socket.
8.0 USING THE NX SMART APP
You can control your air purifier using the free ‘NX Smart’ app through a 2.4G Wi-Fi
network.
8.1 GETTING STARTED
WiFi network specifications:
• 2.4G only, IEEE b/g/n
• Stable 2.4G WiFi network with access to internet
• 5G WiFi network is not supported
App requirements:
• Smartphone or device running on iOS 10.0 and above.
• Smartphone or device running on Android 5 and above.
8.2 DOWNLOADING THE APP
Download the NX Smart App from the Apple or Google Play store by
searching ‘NX Smart’ or scan the QR code.

8.3 REGISTERING AN APP USER ACCOUNT
1. To register, select ‘Sign Up’.
2. Please read and agree to the privacy policy.
3. Then enter your email address.
4. Select ‘Get Verification Code’ then retrieve the code sent to your
email. Please enter the code into the App to create your account
and set your password.
5. You will be asked to provide permissions for ‘Access to Data’ and
‘What’s Trending’. Click ‘Go to App’.

8.4 SETTING PERSONAL INFORMATION IN THE APP
You can set and edit your user profile photo, nickname and time zone
following the steps below.
1. Select ‘Home’ at the bottom of the App screen.
2. Click on the avatar icon at the top left corner of the App screen.
3. Edit the setting for each field as required. Set your ‘Profile Photo’,
‘Nickname’, and ‘Time Zone’.

8.5 CONFIGURING HOME MANAGEMENT IN THE APP
To enable extra control options for your NX Smart products, like adding
other users and setting up automated tasks, follow the steps below. You can
also set up ‘Home Management' later.
1. Select ‘Me’ on the menu at the bottom of the screen.
2. Select ‘Home Management.’
3. Then select ‘My Home’ to edit your default home setting.
4. Add a ‘Home Name’ and a ‘Home Location’. After this step, you can
choose to add or delete the types of ‘Rooms’ for your home setting.
5. Always select ‘Save’ when you have finished making changes.
8.6 ADDING THE NX AIR PURIFIER TO THE APP
1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to your 2.4GHz WiFi network
(this is a specific home network. If you are unsure of the dierence,
please read the quick explainer below).
QUICK EXPLAINER:
• Modern home routers typically provide two WiFi networks (5GHz and
2.4GHz). These separate networks will NOT always be named clearly,
especially if you have re-named your home WiFi network.
• For your NX Air Purifier to work, you will need to pair it to the 2.4GHz
WiFi network, which has a greater range and a stronger and more
reliable signal. If you are unsure which of your WiFi networks is 2.4GHz,
please clarify with your network provider.
2. Turn on the bluetooth on your smartphone. Bluetooth is only used
to enable quick connection to the air purifier. After the air purifier is
connected to WiFi, Bluetooth is not required.

3. Insert the power plug into a wall socket. Turn on the power at the power
outlet. Wait for the LCD screen to display a PM2.5 reading.
• To enter the Bluetooth pairing mode, long press the UV button on
the appliance for 5 seconds.
• The NX-100AP Air Purifier will beep once and the indicator on the
LCD screen will start blinking fast, indicating the appliance is in pairing
mode.
4. Select ‘Home’ at the bottom of the App screen. Then click ‘+’ on the top
right corner of the screen to add a new device.
5. Wait for your smartphone to discover nearby devices. Click on the 'Add'
button then click on '+' to the newly found device. Click ‘Next’.

6. Choose a 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter the password for the network.
Click ‘Next’.
7. Once the device has been found, click ‘Done’. You may choose to edit
your air purifier name before clicking ‘Done’.
For example, you can rename your NX-100AP as ‘Purifier’.
NOTE:
Your WiFi network name will be displayed.
If your 2.4GHz WiFi network name is not
displayed, please leave the App, connect your
smartphone to the 2.4GHz network, then return
to the App and enter the WiFi password and
select confirm. You can also enter the network
name manually if it is not displayed. Please
refer to “QUICK EXPLAINER:” in section 8.6 if
this is not clear. If you are still having trouble
finding your 2.4GHz WiFi signal, please contact
your internet provider.
