REMOTE UNIT – ATM105B
Operation:
The ATM105B remote unit operates with Raymarine STxxxx and
SmartPilot pilots in com ination with the ATM105A2 gateway, with
Raymarine Evolution and Simrad / B&G pilots: APxx / ACxx / NAC2 /
NAC3 in com ination with the ATM105A3, and directly with the
Ocenav STE300 pilot. It also presents navigation data, handles the
anchor windlass, presents the origin of each alarm, and mutes it y
pressing any key.
It has four data presentation screens, two configuration screens and
one for windlass control; presenting a total of 14 navigation data, 6
standard alarms and 17 alarms in total depending on options, the
status of the pilot and the attery level.
These characteristics give it a minimum autonomy of one month
without recharging and high functionality since a single unit performs
the work of four independent devices. The key oard relief allows keys
to e identified even without light, and its design makes it very
intuitive.
The ox is watertight (IP65) and weather resistant, it has no openings
or connectors, ut it is not Su mersi le. The internal attery is charged
using the supplied USB cradle.

4
Indicators:
(1) – Communication status with the gateway. Solid lue LED when
there is no communication. Flashes in normal operation.
(2) - Battery charge indicator when the remote is over the USB
charger. Red color: charging, green color: charge finished.
(3) - Autopilot operating status:
STBY - Stand y pilot, disengaged if a power unit attached to the rudder
shaft is installed.
AUTO - Active pilot, magnetic course.
VANE - Active pilot, the course maintains the wind angle.
TRACK - Active pilot, the course follows the Navigation route.
NoDRF - Active Pilot, NO DRIFT Heading (Constant COG).
(Only operational on Simrad, B&G and Ocenav pilots):
(4) - Alarm display area, alternate screen:
a) Standard alarms:
“BAT LOW” - Remote control attery level too low.
“GPS FIX” - Poor GPS reception quality.
"ARRIVAL" - Proximity warning to the waypoint.
“>> WPT >>” – Pass through the waypoint perpendicular.
“COURSE>” - The pilot cannot follow the selected course, normally due
to lack of forward speed.
“WIND >>” - Wind shift, warning of excessive course change due to a
significant change in the wind angle.

5
) Alarms added y the complement:
DEPHT – Minimum Depth alarm.
"WIND >>" - True wind intensity exceeded.
"RADAR" - AIS and ARPA (Radar) target proximity alarm.
"ANCHOR" – Anchor drag alarm.
NOTE: The alarms kit includes a uzzer with led that connects to the
control panel, and which is activated in the presence of any alarm. It is
muted y pressing any key on the remote control.
c) STE300 pilot alarms:
"POWER F" – Main Battery voltage failure.
CLUTCH - Failure in clutch operation.
“DRIVE F” - Failure of the pilot power unit.
“MOB“ - Automatic Man Over oard Maneuver.
COMPASS - Heading sensor failure.
"RUDDER>" - Helm lade placed at one end of the course.
"NO DATA" - There is no navigation data for TRACK mode.
(5) - Battery level ar. Indicates BAT LOW when it needs to e charged.
The remote will automatically shut off when the level is critical.

6
Keyboard unctions:
PAGE - This key has two functions, device on/off and display page
change.
It is possi le to send a direct order to the pilot without activating the
screen. To do this, press directly on the key or keys, without previously
pressing Page. In this case, the device will communicate with the
gateway for 4 seconds, thus allowing you to press several keys in
succession.
-1 - Course correction of 1 degree to port in AUTO (magnetic), WIND
VANE and NO DRIFT (COG) modes.
+1 - Course correction of 1 degree to star oard, in AUTO (magnetic),
WIND VANE and NO DRIFT (COG) modes.
-10 - Course correction of 10 degree to port in AUTO, WIND VANE and
NO DRIFT modes.

7
+10 - Course correction of 10 degree to star oard in AUTO, WIND
VANE and NO DRIFT modes.
< (-1 and -10) – Tacking to port, the oat will turn around 100 degrees
to port when the pilot is in AUTO mode. In VANE mode will ring the
oat is oriented at the same angle to the wind, ut on the opposite tack,
tacking to port.
> (+1 and +10) – Tacking to star oard, the oat will turn around 100
degrees to star oard when the pilot is in AUTO mode. In VANE mode
will ring the oat is oriented at the same angle to the wind, ut on the
contrary to the initial tack, tacking to star oard.
(-10 and +10) – When the pilot is previously in AUTO mode, this key
com ination activates the TRACK mode, navigating to a waypoint
introduced in the GPS. It is necessary that the GPS navigation mode is
previously ena led (GOTO or Route).
(-1 and +1) - This key com ination activates the navigation in NO
DRIFT mode, keeping the COG. The GPS needs to supply valid data.
(Only for Simrad / B&G and Ocenav STE300 pilots).
(STBY) – This key has 2 functions. A normal pulse disa les the pilot
AUTO mode. If pressed for more than 1.5 seconds, the screen acklight
and on oard instruments will e activated. Press and hold for longer
time, to set the desired lighting level (3 levels).
(AUTO) – Activates the autopilot in magnetic course mode.
(STBY and AUTO) – Activates autopilot operation in VANE mode, to
hold the apparent wind angle on the sails.
NOTE: The -1, +1, -10 and +10 keys have other associated functions in
the configuration pages and windlass handling.

8
Data Pages:
1 - Wind and rudder angle In ormation.
The data shown correspond to the apparent wind direction and speed.
The numerical value within the circumference is the angle in degrees
and their speed in knots. the needle indicates the direction and
surrounding points are located at distances of 30 degrees.
On the right, it shows the oat speed parallel to wind in knots with a
decimal (VMG). With stern wind this value is negative (-).
The RUDDER ar indicates the angle of the rudder lade, the marks are
located at distances of 15 degrees to port and star oard.
2- GPS speed, course and track data:
COG – “Course Over Ground”, true course in degrees. A ove, If the GPS
is in navigation mode, "<-- Or -->” sym ols show where you have to
steer the oat to waypoint.
SOG – “Speed Over Ground”, GPS true speed, in knots.
BRG – “Bearing”, angle to the waypoint if GPS navigation is active,
otherwise "---" appears. Value is given in degrees from true north.
VMG – “Velocity Made Good”, effective speed towards the waypoint, or
approach speed. Visi le if the navigation is activated on the GPS,
otherwise it will show "---". Value is given in knots.

9
3- Waypoint distance and UTC / LOCAL time:
WPT DIST – Distance on the Great circle line to the waypoint. Value in
nautical miles.
TIME UTC – Coordinated universal time. No local corrections.
LOCAL TIME – Is the time UTC +/- the local correction . The correction
is setta le within the remote configuration pages.
4- Instrumentation page:
HDG – “Heading”, Is the magnetic angle value measured y the
compass, given in degrees without local variation/corrections.
PLT – Is the magnetic angle programmed to pilot at the time of press
AUTO. In STBY mode will show "---".
STW – “Speed through Water”, sliding speed. Value is given in knots.
DPT – Depth value in meters or feet from the surface to the ottom.
This value is the result of the sum of the value measured y the
instrument from the transducer to the ottom, plus the distance
(offset) selected in the configuration page and determines the depth at
which the sensor is located.
The depth value is also visi le on the anchor control page.
Anchoring page:
Important: For your safety and to prevent unwanted anchor
movements, it is recommended to disa le this screen during
navigation. See the configuration page.
Numeric indicator: Depth in meters / feet.
(-1) key: Down the anchor.
(+1) key: Up the anchor.
NOTE: If the drive turns ackwards, you must reverse the connections
at the ATM105A gateway. The drag alarm is automatically activated
when the anchor is lowered for more than 4 seconds.

10
Con iguration pages:
In the configuration pages, the -10 and +10 keys are used to change the
active line (up and down), and -1 and +1 keys to change the parameter
value.
Configura le parameters:
Power O – Time for auto power off. Value of 1 to 10 minutes.
Disp Contrast – Display contrast. Value from 1 to 9.
Anchor act – Activation of the anchor windlass control page. ON / OFF
values.
