•The operating ambient temperature range for the iThermie is 50°F ~ 104°F
(10°C ~ 40°C)
•Do not expose the iThermie to temperature extremes (below -4°F/20°C or
over 122°F / 50°C) nor excessive humidity (>95% RH).
•This thermometer is intended for household use only.
•Use of this thermometer is not intended as a substitute for consultation with
your physician.

ABOUT iTHERMIE
Your smart thermometer
The iThermie is a total solution, highly accurate smart thermometer for monitoring
body temperature and it is easily connected to your smart device and controlled
by the free “iThermie” App.
By setting up customizable profiles in the App, you can make the iThermie your
personal health companion by keeping track of any temperature abnormality.

•Press the button and iThermie will start measuring the body
temperature.
MEASURE BY FOREHEAD
Put on the forehead cover, and place the iThermie on your forehead as illustrated
below.
Start
•Hold iThermie in the illustrated position for about 6~8 seconds in order to take
the temperature reading. Please wait until the system gathers temperature
reading before removing it.
•When the measurement is finished, the App will show the temperature result
and the mobile device will vibrate (default setting is vibration ON).
•Please follow the steps for each measurement mode
as described below.

•Plug the iThermie into the 3.5mm jack of your mobile device.
•Open the downloaded app from your mobile device.

•On the main screen, please select the measurement
mode either from ear or forehead.

PREPARATION
Before you start
•Download iThermie App from the App Store for iOS devices or Google
Play for Andriod devices.
•Open the battery door with a coin, and insert the included CR2032 battery and
close the battery door as illustrated.

MEASURE BY EAR
Please take off the “Forehead” cover, put the iThermie in the ear.
•Press the “START” button in the App and the iThermie will start measuring the
body temperature.
•Hold the iThermie in the illustrated position for about 6~8 seconds in order to
take the temperature reading. Please wait until the system gathers temperature
reading before removing it.
•When the measurement is finished, the App will show the temperature result
and the mobile device will vibrate (default setting is vibration ON).
•During the measurement, the LED on the iThermie will illuminate.
If the LED does not turn on after pressing “START”, then the battery
is too low. If this is the case, then please replace the battery

The vibration can be turned o in Settings. Please refer to the “Settings” section of this
manual for details steps.
Note:
If the iThermie fails to measure the temperature, the app will display an message. Below are
some of the possible reasons for these error messages.
Note:
•The iThermie failed to take the temperature due to incorrect positioning or not enough
time to get a correct measurement. Restart the measurement.
A. Pop up “Error” message:
•The temperature range of iThermie is 92.2°F - 109°F (33°C - 43°C) only. If it is out of this
range, the app will not show the data.
•The battery of iThermie may be too low. Please check the status of the LED light. If you
press “START”, and the LED does not turn on, please replace the battery.
B. Display “Hi” , “Lo” message:
•If the app displays the message “Plug your iThermie”, make sure iThermie is plugged in
properly.
•Please make sure you have unplugged all devices from the headphone jack other than
your iThermie before you press on the START button and begin measurement. High
frequency sound may damage the device other than your iThermie.
Note:
•During the measurement, the LED on the iThermie will illuminate.
If the LED does not turn on after pressing “START”, then the battery
is too low. If this is the case, then please replace the battery

TEMPERATURE RESULT
The measured result will show on the screen. By default, the measurement will
be displayed in Fahrenheit (°F), the detected temperature will be shown with one
decimal place. This result is for reference only and will be automatically saved
as a record. The circular ring indicates the body condition reflected by the
measurement.
The temperature range indication is for reference only. The normal temperature range varies
from person to person and uctuates throughout the day. It is therefore important to
determine your normal temperature range. Please practice taking temperatures on yourself
and healthy members to determine their normal temperature ranges.
Note:
•Green Ring Dot : Indicates normal temperature range
from 96.8°F (or 36.0°C) to 99.5°F (or 37.2°C).
•Purple Ring Dot: Indicates temperature beyond 100.9°F
(or 38.3°C). Please consult your physician immediately.
•Orange Ring Dot: Indicates temperature range from
99.5°F (or 37.2°C) to 100.76°F (or 38.2°C). Please
monitor the family member’s temperature within 1/2
hour and consult your physician if necessary.

ADDING SYMPTOMS
iThermie helps you to record some basic symptoms such as coughs, chills,
running nose, vomit, headache and diarrhea.
•Add more symptoms and notes by tapping
the "Any common symptoms" button

SAVING RECORDS
•Press the option at the measurement result page. Choose a family
member from the record list. The record will be instantly saved to their profile.
•You can also type in additional notes on
body conditions, which can later be sent to
doctors.
These symptoms are for your reference only. Please visit your doctor for professional medical
results.
Note:
Note: Users can view their previously saved records, and share them with their doctor if
necessary.

•Type in the first name and last name.
•Choose the gender by tapping the gender icon

•Press "Save" to choose and save to the selected record.
•Press "Cancel" to choose a different record to save to.

may take a photo with your mobile device or choose a photo from your photo

Note: This action cannot be undone.
•Tap the record to open the detail view for each record.
•Records will show up with body temperature with selected symptoms.
These records are for your reference only.
For actual medical diagnosis, please seek professional medical assistance.
REVIEW RECORD
Once you have saved a record you can retrieve it from the record page to review.
iThermie can keep a maximum of 100 records for each user.
•Press the “RECORD” button
from the main menu bar to open
the record page to view or edit any
saved record. Records are sorted
in alphabetical order.
•Press the “Edit” button from
record menu to open the edit page.
•A recycle bin icon will appear
beside the record. Tap the icon to
confirm delete of the record.

Note: If you see the message “This app does not have access to your photos or videos”.
For iOS users, please do the following:
1. Go to your devices setting menu,
2. Go to “Privacy” setting, then go to “Photos”,
3. Enable iThermie to allow access to your phone’s photo albums.

SHARE RECORD
•Tap the record to open the detailed view for each record.
•Press the “SHARE” button from the record.
•The record will be sent by email. Enter the email address that you want to send
to. The report date, time, name and age will be enclosed with the body
temperature automatically.
SET UP REMINDER
You can set up one reminder alarm for each user to
measure the temperature again.
•Tap the "Reminder" button on your menu
bar to gain access to the reminder setting.
•Select the reminder time interval and then tap button.
•You can select one reminder for each single user. Different users can
select different reminder time intervals.
•To deactivate the reminder before it goes off, tap button manually.
•Your mobile device will pop up to remind you to measure the temperature.

SETTING
Some parameters can be changed to suit your experience.
iOS:
•Unit: Choose which unit you would like the
app to present in °F / °C. This will affect all
unit presentation within the iThermie App.
(System default °F)
•Vibration: You can enable or disable the
vibration function of the App with this
setting. (The default of the vibration setting is
ON, for the user to easily note if the measure
is complete.) If you want to have this
function switched off for special cases such
as baby caring or a quiet environment, the
vibration function can be switched off.
ANDROID:
•Unit: Choose which unit you would like the app to present in °F / °C. This will
affect all unit presentation within the iThermie App. (System default °F)
•Vibration: You can enable or disable the vibration function of the App with this
setting. (The default of the vibration setting is ON, for the user to easily note if
the measure is complete.) If you want to have this function switched off for
special cases such as baby caring or a quiet environment, the vibration function
can be switched off.
•Calibration: On Android device, you can choose Auto or manual calibration of
the iThermie. (The default of the calibration is set to Auto, if you found the auto
mode is not working on your Android device, you have to set the calibration
mode to Mode A or Mode B. For detail supported Android devices, please visit

The calibration mode:

•Clean the infrared sensor before and after usage.
•Use a clean cloth or cotton bud and moisten with disinfectant, alcohol or
warm water.
•Thermometer body should be cleaned with a soft and dry cloth.
Do not use any harsh cleaning tools.
•To keep the infrared sensor away from dust, store the iThermie in the water
resistant carry pouch after every uses.
•If prolonged storage is intended, you should remove the battery.
•Do not store iThermie in extremely low or high temperatures, in humid areas,
or direct sunlight.

iThermie is designed and calibrated to operate under specific conditions.
Using it in ways that are not described may give incorrect results.
iThermie is using the IR sensor that complies with ASTM standard section 5.3
(Designation: E1965 – 98 (2009) - Standard Specification for Infrared
Thermometers for Intermittent Determination of Patient Temperature)

• Keep battery out of children’s reach. Swallowing battery could be fatal. Battery should not
be charged or placed into extreme heat as it may explode.
• Used batteries should be disposed of properly. Do not dispose of batteries in re, recharge,
put in backwards, disassemble, mix with used or other battery types - they may explode
or leak and cause injury.
