1. Amplifier Input: Connect your instrument
with a proper instrument cable to one of the
amplifier input jacks. The Lo input will drop the
amplifier volume by about 3db.
2. Volume: This control determines the overall
loudness of the amplifier. As the volume control
is rotated towards max the amp will become not
only louder but rich harmonic overtones will mix
with the tone as well.
3. Treble: This control determines the amount
of treble frequencies present in the amplifier
tone. At the max setting the amplifier is at its
brightest. This control also adds a bit of bite to
the amplifier as it is turned towards max.
4. Middle: This control determines the amount
of mid frequencies present in the amplifier tone.
The mid control on the Troubadour is very
active and can be used to obtain many different
tonal flavors. It should also be noted that as the
middle control is turned towards the maximum
setting the player will notice that the treble and
bass controls have less effect on the overall
tone.
5. Bass: The bass control determines the
amount of bass frequencies present in the tone.
Turning this control too far towards maximum
could result in the overall tone becoming too
muddy.
6. Reverb Mix: This control mixes the reverb
and the dry signal and determines the ratio of
wet and dry signals. Use this control with the
Reverb Dwell control located on the back of the
amplifier.
7. Tremolo Speed: This control determines the
speed of the amplifier tremolo. As the speed
control is rotated towards maximum the
amplifier tremolo effect will speed up.
8. Tremolo Speed: This control determines the
intensity of the tremolo in the amplifier signal.
9. Pilot Light: Illuminated when the amplifier is
on.
10. Standby: Move the switch to the to On to
play through the amplifier. Do not take the
amplifier out of Standby for at least 30 seconds
after turning the Mains On to give the tubes
time to warm up to operating temperature.
11. Mains: Switch to On to power on the
amplifier.
12. Bright Switch: Engage the bright switch to
add an overall brightness to the tone. This
switch must be engaged when using the foot
pedal.
13. Mid Boost Switch: Engage the mid boost
switch to add more mid frequencies to the
overall tone. There will be a slight volume gain
with the switch engaged and a little dirtier tone.
This switch must be engaged when using the
foot pedal.
