DESCRIPTION
The RF-52/A/D is a device that operates with
RFID technology. It reads the RFID cards and
cooperates with the RF-54/A device. The
system RF-52/A/D with RF-54/A is used to
control an electric door lock and room lighting or
A/C in hotels or rent rooms.
The RF-52/A/D is powered by the RF-54/A
device and communicates with it to transfer the
code of each RFID card that it reads.
The cards are supplied by request, printed with
the customer’s logo (RF-50/T) or plain (RF-50).
The RF-52/A/D has an orange LED to indicate
the existence of an RFID card. It is off when a
card is in the slot. The device has also two
indication LED’s (green and red), and a buzzer.
The LED’s states are:
GREEN:
ΟΝ: The card is appropriate (follows a sound
signal).
RED:
ΟΝ: There is a customer inside the room.
Blinks: The card is recognized but is not
registered to the memory of RF-54/A.
INSTALLATION
The device’s installation is done externally on a
wall or recess mounted with recess base (A-42)
as shown on page 3.
The device is pre-adjusted to be used as an
external card reader.

Installation Instruction
1. Lift the front plastic cover and with a flat blade screwdriver unlock the plastic hooks to remove it.
2. Install the 6 mm diameter cable connection seal ring.
3. Use the plastic plugs and the long screws to mount the device to the wall or the short ones to
mount it with A-42 recess mounting base. In each mounting screw firstly pass the washer and
then the black plastic ring included in the package (Figure 3). Then fasten the 2 mounting
screws to secure the device.
4. Connect the cable ( the wiring of the device is described in the user manual of RF-54/A).
5. ATTENTION!! To ensure the IP65 rating protection, place the sealing ring around (Figure 4).
6. Room number setting. Firstly you have to power on the system. There is no risk of electric shock
(power voltage is 12V DC).
Selecting the room number is done by using the buttons 1, 2, 3 and 4 of figure 2. Each button sets the
indication to the screen above it. Each press of the button increases the screen content by 1. The
value options are: blank, -,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. The room number 47, e.g., can be shown as: or
or etc.
The final selection is permenantly saved in the memory of the device and is not affected by netwirk
interruptions. It can be changed at any time in the same manner as described above.
7.Replace carefully the plastic face to secure it. Then device is secure ready to operate.
