REPLACING YOUR REMOTE BATTERY
STEPS REMOTE PART# BATTERY (QTY)
1) (551 only) Find the part # on the back of the remote to identify the battery.
2) (551 only) Locate the relief in case near the key chain and separate the case
halves to access & replace the batteries.

SECURITY, KEYLESS ENTRY, & CONVENIENCE FUNCTIONS
FUNCTION BUTTON(S) REMOTE CONFIRMATION NOTE
Lock & Arm* “Lock” or ”arm” Displays The doors will lock.
Unlock & Disarm* “Unlock” or ”D_Arm”
Displays The doors will unlock.
Silent Lock* x 1 Beep The doors will lock with no audible confirmation.
Silent Unlock* x 2 Beep Perform within 1 second. The doors will unlock with no
audible confirmation.
Trunk/Hatch Release for 3 sec. “TRUNK OPEN” Displays By default, the system will also disarm/unlock.
Panic* or for 3 sec. “PANIC” Displays The system will sound the horn/siren for Panic Mode.

REMOTE START FUNCTIONS
FUNCTION BUTTON(S) LCD CONFIRMATION NOTE
Engine Start/Stop x 2 “START” + Melody Upon successful remote start the clock will display the remaining engine run time (M:SS).
Take Over: Turn ignition key ‘ON’, press brake pedal.
Run Time Extender* Chirp + “START ON” Clock will restart the run timer (only allowed once per remote start cycle).
Auto Start Mode* & “TEMP START ON” or
“TEMP START OFF”
Remote starts your vehicle every 2, 3, or 4 hours (programmable) or upon temperature threshold (set in the remote
start unit).

Remote Valet* Hold &

Beep + Screen flashes
This disables remote start and the security
system. The status LED will turn on. Repeat
this process or press valet button once to exit
valet mode.
Multi-Car Hold & for

Beep + ”Shift” icon The “Shift” icon appear when in car 2 opera-
tion. Repeat to return to car 1 operation.
Button Lock Hold &
for 3 sec
Beep + Screen flashes
When button lock is on the remote will not
transmit. When any button is pressed the
screen will flash 5x. Repeat to unlock.
Status Update* Hold &
for 3 sec
Beep + Icons change
(if status has changed)
The screen icons will update to the current
status of the system.

turn off The remote will not function until powered on.

Set Clock (H:M)
Hold for 5 seconds. The controller will beep
indicating it has entered option programming.
Tap to scroll through each option.
Press or to scroll through each option
setting.
Hold for 3 seconds or no activity for 15 seconds
to exit option programming
Set Alarm Clock (H:M)
Change Alarm Melody
Alarm Clock On/Off
Set Timer (H:M)
Set Timer Melody
Timer On/Off
Change Start/Stop Melody
12/24 Hour Clock
