Overview
16 ZR-RX45 User’s Manual
Overview
The ZR-RX45 (with color monitor and internal memory) are compact, lightweight, multi-channel dataloggers.
ZR-RX45 are provided with 20 channels as astandard measurement feature, or can be extended up to 200
channels by attachingadditional terminal sets.
ZR-RX45 are also equipped with an internal flash memory to store dataand enable the direct capture ofalarge
volume ofdatato USB memory.
Furthermore, the dataloggers are equipped with USB and Ethernet interfaces to aPC to enable system
configurations accordingto your application.
The Ethernet feature includes WEB and FTP server functions which allowmonitoringfromaremote location
and datatransfer.

Features
Input
• Adoption ofapluggable M3 screwtype input terminal facilitates wiring.
• The ZR-RX45 is provided with 20 channels as astandard measurement feature, or can be extended up to 200
channels by attachingadditional terminal sets.
• All channels are isolated, enablingmeasurement ofsignals ofdifferent references.
Display & Operation
• With the ZR-RX45's high-resolution 5.7-inch TFT color liquid crystal display, you can confirmthe waveforms of
measured dataand each channel's settings at aglance.
•Easy operation is achieved through astraightforward menu structure and key allocation which resembles mobile
phones.
DataCapture
•Datacan be directly captured and maintained in the internal or USB memory.
• The high-capacity internal memory enables measurement for alongtermwithout the use ofUSB memory.
• Internal memory used for the built-in memory maintains captured dataeven after the power is turned off.
• The Internal memory can be used with diskimages thus multiple dataitems can be maintained.
• The newringmemory capture function maintains latest dataeven after capturingfor alongterm. (You need to set
howlongyou want to keep data.)
• For voltage and humidity measurements, datacan be captured at samplingrates ofup to 10 msec per channel by
usingfewer measuringchannels. (Temperature measurement can be done at samplingrates of100 msec and
higher.)
DataControl & Processing
•Theapplication software provided lets you set conditions and monitor dataon aPC.
•TheUSB drive mode function enables the ZR-RX45's internal memory to be recognized as an external drive by
your PC. (Connect the ZR-RX45 to your PC and turn on the power supply to the ZR-RX45 while holdingdown the
[START] key.)
•Captured datacan be read fromthe application software to files and displayed for processing.
•Datacan be transferred off-line to acomputer usingUSB memory.
• The WEB server function enables control and monitoringfromaremote location without usingdedicated software.
• The FTP server function enables handlinginternal memory and USB memory datafromaPC.
• The FTP client function enables backup ofmeasurement datato the FTP server.
• The NTP client function enables synchronization ofthe time with the NTP server.

Operating Environment
18 ZR-RX45 User’s Manual
Operating Environment
This section explains the operatingenvironment for the ZR-RX45.
Ambient Operating Conditions
(1) Ambient temperature and humidity (the ZR-RX45 must be operated within the followingranges.)
•Temperature range: 0 to 45°C (0 to 40°C when abattery packis mounted.)
•Humidity range: 5 to 85% RH
(2) Environment (do not use in the followinglocations.)
• A Location such as beingexposed to direct sunlight
• Locations exposed to salty air, corrosive gases, or organic solvents
• Dusty locations
• Locations subject to vibration or impact
• Locations subject to voltage surge or electromagnetic interference such as lightningor electric furnaces
(3) Installation category (over-voltage category)
• The ZR-RX45 belongs to Installation Category II defined in IEC60664-1.
• Never use the ZR-RX45 for Installation Category III or IV.
(4) Measurement category
• The ZR-RX45 belongs to Measurement Category I defined in IEC61010.
• The ZR-RX45 cannot be used for Measurement Category II, III, or IV.
Warming-up Before Use
The ZR-RX45 should be allowed to warmup with the power turned on for approximately 30 minutes to ensure
that it operates accordingto the specified performance.
Configuration When in Use
Do not use the ZR-RX45 standingupright or at an angle. It must always be laid flat.
Usage Configuration
Ifcondensation occurs...
Condensation occurs in the formofwater droplets on the device surfaces and interior when the ZR-RX45 is moved
fromacold to awarmlocation. Usingthe ZR-RX45 with condensation will cause malfunctioning.
Wait until the condensation has disappeared before turningon the power.
Note
