User Guide & Guarantee
Instructions
Make sure all locks and clips are secured before and during use. Do not
leave tripods unattended on uneven surfaces, in high winds or in public
places where others might injure themselves. Whenever possible remove
equipment from the support during transportation.
Care & Cleaning
Always dry the equipment thoroughly after use in damp or wet
conditions. Avoid contact with salt water. To clean the equipment,
remove excess dirt and dust from moving parts (threads and sliding
sections) using compressed air or a blower brush. Wash with a mild
detergent and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Whenever possible
store in a stable dry atmosphere away from moisture. Do not attempt to
dismantle the equipment as this will invalidate the guarantee.
Guarantee
Opticron tripods* listed herein are guaranteed for up to 5 years under the
following conditions.
(i) In the case of faults attributable to faulty processing or materials, we
will assume responsibility for the labour and material costs during the
first 2 years after purchase. We reserve the right to decide whether
defective parts should be repaired or replaced.
(ii) During the next 3 years we will assume responsibility for material
costs only, charging corresponding labour costs.
(iii) We will accept no liability for damage caused by incorrect use, water
damage or for any repairs or actions carried out outside our firm.
Items such as carry straps and rubberised coatings are excluded from the
guarantee.
This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.
*Manfrotto and Velbon panheads are covered by their own
manufacturer’s guarantees.
