Installaon guide
Opsis E704 can be connected to an -
Ethernet based broadband network through
Ethernet WAN (red) interface.
Geng started
Check if the following items are in the box:
Opsis E704 -
Power adapter
Vercal stand
RJ45 Network cable
Label posion
The product label is posioned on the back
side of the device.
Connecng the WAN interface
Connect the network cable with the RJ45
connector to the red colored port labeled
WAN.
Placement
Opsis E704 supports two placement -
opons standing and wall mounted. It is :
recommended to place the
device 'away' from obstacles and objects.
Standing
1. Slide the vercal stand onto the boom
of the Opsis E704.-
2. Place the device on a flat surface.
Wall mount
1. Download and print the
drilling guide from
2. Use the drilling guide to drill the holes,
insert plugs and put screws into place.
3. Use the wall mount points on the back of
the Opsis E704 to mount the device to -
the screws.
Warning: do not cover the device with
anything, this will interfere with the
venlaon of the device.
Operaon Temperature 0°C ~ 40°C
Seng up the Opsis-E704
1. If required, connect your telephone to
the phone port via RJ11 phone cable.
2. If required, connect your personal
devices to the LAN ports via RJ45
network cable.
3. Connect the supplied power adapter to
the Opsis E704 and plug the adapter -
into a power socket.
4. Press the power buon at the back of
the Opsis E704 to turn on the device. -
. The LEDs on the Opsis E704 will start 5 -
blinking.
This process takes about 2 minutes.
6. If the device is connected properly and
the service is acve on the WAN port, the
Internet and the WAN LEDs will be on.

Connecng the Wireless Local Area
Network (WLAN)
Wireless connecon can be established
manually or via the WPS method.
WLAN buon funconality
press and hold the WLAN buon for 5
seconds to turn ON/OFF the 2.4G WiFi
Press and hold the WLAN buon for 10
seconds to turn ON/OFF the 5G WiFi
WPS method
1. Make sure the WiFi indicator LED on the
front panel is lit. If not use the WLAN
buon to turn ON WiFi.
2. Press and hold the WPS buon for 3
seconds.
3. Follow the instrucons of your personal
device to complete the connecon
process.
Manual setup
1. Make sure the WiFi indicator LED on the
front panel is on. If not use the WLAN
buon to turn ON WiFi.
2. Perform a search for available wireless
networks using the personal device i.e.
laptop or mobile device.
3. Compare the list of wireless networks
with the network name which is shown
on the label.
4. Connect by clicking on the corresponding
SSID network name and provide the
password, which is printed on the device
label.
Troubleshoong
Power indicator LED off?
Check if the modem is properly connected
to the power adapter.
Check if the power adapter is connected to
an electrical outlet.
Check if the device is turned on – the power
buon should be in the “pressed” state.
If the device is properly connected and
turned on, the power indicator LED should
turn green aer a while.
WAN led is OFF?
Contact your service provider.
Internet led is OFF?
Contact your service provider.
POTS voice line does not register
Contact your service provider.
LAN 1-4 no acve link
Please check the LAN cable and your
personal device sengs.

Reseng the device
Use a small pin or a paperclip to press the reset buon. Press and hold the buon for approximately
10 seconds to perform a factory reset.
See the chapter ˝LED & Buon overview˝ to locate the pinhole.
Safety Instrucons
Do not install the Opsis E704 during an electrical storm.-
During an electrical storm, disconnect the Opsis E704 from the power supply and from the -
WAN network.
The Opsis E704 must newer be covered or placed in an enclosed place.-
Do not place the Opsis E704 on or near excessively heat-sensive surfaces.-
Do not place the Opsis E704 on carpets or upholstery.-
Provide for sufficient air circulaon around the Opsis E704.-
The Opsis E704 is intended for indoor operaon only.-
To prevent fires and electrical shocks avoid using socket strips and extension cords if at all
possible.
Do not connect mulple extension cords or socket strips to each other.
Never let liquids get inside the Opsis E704.-
Protect the Opsis E704 from moisture and vapors.-

Cleaning
- Disconnect the Opsis E704 from the WAN and power outlet before cleaning.-
- Wipe the Opsis E704 with moist cloth or an an-stac cloth. -
- Do not use any strong detergents or solvents for cleaning.
- Do not use any wet cloth for cleaning.
Do not try to open the Opsis E704 housing. If the device needs to be repaired, take it to a -
specialized shop.
Do not use the Opsis E704 in places where the use of radio devices is prohibited.-
Consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your medical device (pacemaker, hearing aid,
electronically controlled implant, etc.) to find out whether it could be affected by interference
from your Opsis E704.-
If applicable, maintain the recommended minimum distance of 15 cm recommended by the
manufacturers of medical devices in order to prevent malfuncons of your medical device.
Follow any instrucons to switch off radio devices – especially in hospitals, outpaent
treatment centers, medical pracces and other medical facilies – in order to prevent
interference with sensive medical equipment.
Do not install and operate your Opsis E704 in the vicinity of explosive environments, -
flammable gases, areas in which the air contains chemicals or parcles like grain, dust or metal
powder or in the vicinity of detonaon grounds.

Decommissioning
Before you decommission your Opsis E704 and dispose of it, delete your personal sengs and data -
from the device. To do this please perform a factory reset.

Disposal of Used Devices
In accordance with European regulaons, all devices and electronic components contained in the
package, may not be disposed with household waste.
Aer use, please dispose of the Opsis E704 and all electronic components and devices included with -
delivery at a collecon point in your local community for the disposal of electric and electronic
appliances.

Frequency bands and maximum radio frequency power transmied
Opsis-E704 operates in the frequency bands of 2,4 Ghz and 5Ghz.
The maximum radio frequency power transmied in these bands is:
- 2.4G: 21dBm for the 2412 MHz - 2472 MHz band
- 5G: 19dBm for the 5180 MHz – 5825 MHz band
