Installaon guide
Opsis E704 can be connected to an -
Ethernet based broadband network through
Ethernet WAN (red) interface.
Geng started
Check if the following items are in the box:
Opsis E704 -
Power adapter
Vercal stand
RJ45 Network cable
Label posion
The product label is posioned on the back
side of the device.
Connecng the WAN interface
Connect the network cable with the RJ45
connector to the red colored port labeled
WAN.
Placement
Opsis E704 supports two placement -
opons standing and wall mounted. It is :
recommended to place the
device 'away' from obstacles and objects.
Standing
1. Slide the vercal stand onto the boom
of the Opsis E704.-
2. Place the device on a flat surface.
Wall mount
1. Download and print the
drilling guide from
2. Use the drilling guide to drill the holes,
insert plugs and put screws into place.
3. Use the wall mount points on the back of
the Opsis E704 to mount the device to -
the screws.
Warning: do not cover the device with
anything, this will interfere with the
venlaon of the device.
Operaon Temperature 0°C ~ 40°C
Seng up the Opsis-E704
1. If required, connect your telephone to
the phone port via RJ11 phone cable.
2. If required, connect your personal
devices to the LAN ports via RJ45
network cable.
3. Connect the supplied power adapter to
the Opsis E704 and plug the adapter -
into a power socket.
4. Press the power buon at the back of
the Opsis E704 to turn on the device. -
. The LEDs on the Opsis E704 will start 5 -
blinking.
This process takes about 2 minutes.
6. If the device is connected properly and
the service is acve on the WAN port, the
Internet and the WAN LEDs will be on.

Connecng the Wireless Local Area
Network (WLAN)
Wireless connecon can be established
manually or via the WPS method.
WLAN buon funconality
press and hold the WLAN buon for 5
seconds to turn ON/OFF the 2.4G WiFi
Press and hold the WLAN buon for 10
seconds to turn ON/OFF the 5G WiFi
WPS method
1. Make sure the WiFi indicator LED on the
front panel is lit. If not use the WLAN
buon to turn ON WiFi.
2. Press and hold the WPS buon for 3
seconds.
3. Follow the instrucons of your personal
device to complete the connecon
process.
Manual setup
1. Make sure the WiFi indicator LED on the
front panel is on. If not use the WLAN
buon to turn ON WiFi.
2. Perform a search for available wireless
networks using the personal device i.e.
laptop or mobile device.
3. Compare the list of wireless networks
with the network name which is shown
on the label.
4. Connect by clicking on the corresponding
SSID network name and provide the
password, which is printed on the device
label.
Troubleshoong
Power indicator LED off?
Check if the modem is properly connected
to the power adapter.
Check if the power adapter is connected to
an electrical outlet.
Check if the device is turned on – the power
buon should be in the “pressed” state.
If the device is properly connected and
turned on, the power indicator LED should
turn green aer a while.
WAN led is OFF?
Contact your service provider.
Internet led is OFF?
Contact your service provider.
POTS voice line does not register
Contact your service provider.
LAN 1-4 no acve link
Please check the LAN cable and your
personal device sengs.

Reseng the device
Use a small pin or a paperclip to press the reset buon. Press and hold the buon for approximately
10 seconds to perform a factory reset.
See the chapter ˝LED & Buon overview˝ to locate the pinhole.
Safety Instrucons
Do not install the Opsis E704 during an electrical storm.-
During an electrical storm, disconnect the Opsis E704 from the power supply and from the -
WAN network.
The Opsis E704 must newer be covered or placed in an enclosed place.-
Do not place the Opsis E704 on or near excessively heat-sensive surfaces.-
Do not place the Opsis E704 on carpets or upholstery.-
Provide for sufficient air circulaon around the Opsis E704.-
The Opsis E704 is intended for indoor operaon only.-
To prevent fires and electrical shocks avoid using socket strips and extension cords if at all
possible.
Do not connect mulple extension cords or socket strips to each other.
Never let liquids get inside the Opsis E704.-
Protect the Opsis E704 from moisture and vapors.-

Cleaning
- Disconnect the Opsis E704 from the WAN and power outlet before cleaning.-
- Wipe the Opsis E704 with moist cloth or an an-stac cloth. -
- Do not use any strong detergents or solvents for cleaning.
- Do not use any wet cloth for cleaning.
Do not try to open the Opsis E704 housing. If the device needs to be repaired, take it to a -
specialized shop.
Do not use the Opsis E704 in places where the use of radio devices is prohibited.-
Consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your medical device (pacemaker, hearing aid,
electronically controlled implant, etc.) to find out whether it could be affected by interference
from your Opsis E704.-
If applicable, maintain the recommended minimum distance of 15 cm recommended by the
manufacturers of medical devices in order to prevent malfuncons of your medical device.
Follow any instrucons to switch off radio devices – especially in hospitals, outpaent
treatment centers, medical pracces and other medical facilies – in order to prevent
interference with sensive medical equipment.
Do not install and operate your Opsis E704 in the vicinity of explosive environments, -
flammable gases, areas in which the air contains chemicals or parcles like grain, dust or metal
powder or in the vicinity of detonaon grounds.

Decommissioning
Before you decommission your Opsis E704 and dispose of it, delete your personal sengs and data -
from the device. To do this please perform a factory reset.

Disposal of Used Devices
In accordance with European regulaons, all devices and electronic components contained in the
package, may not be disposed with household waste.
Aer use, please dispose of the Opsis E704 and all electronic components and devices included with -
delivery at a collecon point in your local community for the disposal of electric and electronic
appliances.

Frequency bands and maximum radio frequency power transmied
Opsis-E704 operates in the frequency bands of 2,4 Ghz and 5Ghz.
The maximum radio frequency power transmied in these bands is:
- 2.4G: 21dBm for the 2412 MHz - 2472 MHz band
- 5G: 19dBm for the 5180 MHz – 5825 MHz band
