Based on the installation of 50 projectors comparing a typical lamp
based projector and an Optoma EcoBright projector, you could
save $6,750 just on electricity over a 5-year period. Comparison
based on 1,200 hours use per year.
Optoma has developed a combination LED/laser engine for its new Z-series that
uses both LEDs and lasers to provide the optimal combination of energy efciency,
brightness and color accuracy. In Optoma’s Z-Series, LED technology delivers the
two more efcient colors (Red/Blue). Meanwhile, a blue laser and green phosphor
wheel is employed to drive the lower-efciency Green color. A sealed optical
system, lens and light source protects the projector from harmful dust which can
reduce the lifespan of the projector. The Z-series form factor also enables better
thermal and noise control, so that these projectors run very cool and quiet.
What is LED/Laser Technology?
Why Lamp-Free Technology?
As part of its mission to deliver right-t projec-
tion to its customers, Optoma strives to be a
leader in emerging light source technologies.
Optoma’s portfolio includes LED-based projec-
tors to deliver small and light form factors with
instant on/off, as well as combination LED/
laser models that serve the needs of those
who want the benets of LED for larger audi-
ences and bigger screens.
No Screen Burn
Optoma’s LED-based technology minimizes
the risk of screen burn, the permanent
image retention found in plasma displays.
Earth Friendly Projectors that Perform
Minimal Performance Degradation
Optoma’s EcoBright projectors will maintain
high brightness over a long life with minimal
degradation over time. Their lamp-free light
source is rated at 20,000 hours, equivalent to
more than four hours of use every day for over
13 years.
Reduced Power Usage
Optoma’s lamp-free technologies minimize
power consumption by UP TO 40%, reducing
your carbon footprint and electrical expense.
