Important: Read these instructions carefully before use and keep them for future
reference. Your child's safety may be affected if you do not follow these instructions.
The Orbit Baby Bassinet Cradle G2 is made up of two parts, the Orbit Baby Bassinet G2 and the
Orbit Baby Rocker G2.
Using this Instruction Manual:
Each step is described in both text in this booklet, and illustrations in the manual foldout. Numbers like
in this booklet refer to the related sections in the manual foldout. Boxes like in this booklet refer to
individual steps illustrated in sections of the manual foldout.
Letters like Ⓐ refer to the product parts identified on the labeled illustrations located both in this booklet
and in the manual foldout.
Some generic product names may differ by country. Stroller may be called pushchair. Bassinet may be called carry
cot. Bassinet on a stroller frame may be called pram. Rocker may be called stand.
All product specifications subject to change.

◦ Do not let others use the Orbit Baby Bassinet Cradle G2 or other connected Orbit Baby
products unless they understand how to properly use them.
◦ Do not use the bassinet or rocker if any parts are damaged, broken or missing. Use
only replacement parts supplied and approved by Orbit Baby. If the instruction manual is
missing or you need replacement parts or assistance, see the contact information included
with this product.
◦ This bassinet is intended for children from birth up to 20 lbs (9 kg).
◦ Do not use this bassinet if you cannot exactly follow the accompanying instructions.
PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
◦ NEVER leave your child unattended.
◦ WARNING It may be dangerous to leave your child unattended.
◦ Always provide the supervision necessary for the continued safety of your child.
◦ Bassinet must be fully erected and locked in position prior to use.
◦ To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend a healthy infant be placed on his/her
back to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician.
◦ NEVER use the bassinet in motor vehicles.
◦ Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of strong heat, such as electric bar fires,
gas fires, etc., in the near vicinity of the bassinet.
◦ WARNING This product is only suitable for a child who cannot sit unaided.
◦ Discontinue use when the infant begins to push up on his/her hands and knees (about 5
to 6 months of age) or when weight exceeds 20 lbs (9 kg) whichever comes first. Since an
infant’s ability to push up varies from individual to individual, it is important that you evaluate
this criterion often, rather than adhering to any specific weight and age limitations.
◦ Do not use with more than one infant at a time.
◦ Maximum weight capacity of Bassinet is 20 lbs (9 kg).

⚠ WARNING ⚠
FALL HAZARD: Avoid serious injury from falls or tipover.
◦ Always use the bassinet restraint strap to secure the child.
◦ Use the bassinet on the stroller, the rocker or the floor. Child's movement can slide bassinet.
NEVER place bassinet near edges of counter tops, tables or other elevated surfaces.
◦ WARNING Only use rocker and bassinet on a firm, horizontal level and dry surface.
◦ WARNING Do not let other children play unattended near the bassinet or rocker.
◦ Do not place parcels or accessory items on the bassinet unless made by or specifically
approved by Orbit Baby. Parcels or accessory items can make the bassinet unstable.
◦ WARNING Any load attached to the bassinet affects the stability of the pram/pushchair.
STRANGULATION HAZARD:
◦ Strings can cause strangulation! Do not place items with a string around a child's neck,
such as hood strings or pacifier cords. Do not suspend strings over the bassinet or attach
strings to toys.
SUFFOCATION HAZARD:
◦ Infants can suffocate in gaps between mattress too small or too thick and bassinet sides or
on soft bedding. Never add a mattress, pillow, comforter or padding. Use only the mattress
provided by Orbit Baby.
◦ A sheet may impede usage of the restraint strap. Do not use a sheet to cover the mattress
pad.
◦ The bassinet can roll over on soft surfaces and suffocate the child. NEVER place the
bassinet on beds, sofas and other soft surfaces.
◦ Bassinet must be fully erected and locked in position prior to use.
◦ WARNING Ensure that all locking devices are engaged before use.

Getting Started
Remove all the parts from the box. You should have received a bassinet, rocker hub, and two (2)
rocker tubes. These parts are illustrated in your manual foldout.
Assemble the bassinet
Remove the bassinet cover Ⓑ by pulling the two plastic grommets Ⓒ and two elastic loops off of
the bassinet posts Ⓔ.
Pull back the upholstery Ⓕ at the foot end of the bassinet.
Pull on the webbing loop Ⓠ on the interior of the bassinet to move the black metal bar Ⓟ into
position under the plastic clips. It may help to move the webbing loop to one corner of the metal
bar and pull it into place and then move the loop to the other corner to pull it into place.
Repeat this process at the head end of the bassinet by pulling back the upholstery and using the
webbing loop to pull the black metal bar into place. After both bars are locked in place, replace the
upholstery and sunshade Ⓐ onto the bassinet frame.
Install the cover (optional)
Stretch the foot end of the bassinet cover Ⓑ over the foot end of the bassinet.
Attach the two plastic grommets Ⓒ and elastic loops of the cover onto the bassinet posts Ⓔ.

◦ Rocker must be properly assembled before use.
Assemble the rocker
Insert the rocker tubes Ⓗ into the rocker SmartHub Ⓖ.
Ensure that all four rocker snap buttons are locked in place.
Assembly of the Orbit Baby Bassinet Cradle G2 is now complete.

◦ Restraint strap use is required for all use modes.
◦ Center the infant under restraint strap and secure. Never place the infant off center of the
restraint strap.
◦ WARNING This product is only suitable for a child who cannot sit unaided.

STRANGULATION HAZARD:
◦ Infant can strangle on loose restraint straps. NEVER leave the infant in the bassinet when
straps are loose or undone.
◦ Do not place in or near this bassinet any cord, strap or similar item that could become
wrapped around a child’s neck.
◦ Do not place this bassinet near a window or a patio door where a child could reach the
cord of a blind or curtain and be strangled.
Using the restraint strap
The restraint strap Ⓓ should be used to secure your infant in the bassinet.
To use the restraint strap, center your infant in the restraint strap, and clip the buckle.
Pull on the loose end to tighten.
To remove your infant, press on the release tabs of the buckle to open the buckle.

◦ Only use the bassinet on the Orbit Baby Rocker. Do not use with any other rocker or stand.
◦ Bassinet must be fully erected and locked in position prior to use on the rocker.
◦ Always use the anti-rock arms to prevent rocking when the infant is sleeping in the bassinet,
when not in attendance or not actively rocking the infant in the bassinet.
◦ Bassinet must be locked in one of the four locking positions on the rocker.
◦ WARNING Check that the pram body or seat unit attachment devices are correctly
engaged before use.
Using the bassinet on the rocker
To dock the bassinet on the rocker, pull both release levers Ⓛ and push the bassinet SmartHub
Ⓡ down on the rocker hub Ⓖ. To rotate the bassinet, grasp both side handles, pull both release
levers and rotate to the next locking position.
⚠ WARNING ⚠
PINCH HAZARD:
◦ Keep hands and fingers, especially of children, clear of moving parts and the SmartHub.
When you use the bassinet with the Orbit Baby Stroller and Orbit Baby Rocker:
◦ Keep the SmartHub area clean. Keep all metal and plastic parts clear of objects, debris and
liquids to allow proper and safe locking of the bassinet. Never place the bassinet in sand or
other surfaces with fine, loose particles.
◦ The handles and bottom of the bassinet should be inspected regularly for signs of damage
and wear.
◦ Listen for audible 'CLICK' which indicates that the bassinet is locked into the SmartHub.
◦ Always check that the bassinet is securely locked into the SmartHub by tugging upwards
and turning.

⚠ WARNING ⚠
◦ Lock the stroller wheels, or engage the rocker anti-rock arms, and check the stability of the
bassinet before placing the infant in or removing the infant from the bassinet.
◦ Bassinet rotation must always be locked in position before moving. Do not rotate the
bassinet when stroller or rocker is in motion.
◦ Bassinet must be fully erected and locked in position prior to use on the stroller.
◦ Lock wheels and check stability when stroller is stationary.
◦ Do not stroll with bassinet side-facing. Side-facing position is for stationary use only.
◦ WARNING Check that the pram body or seat unit attachment devices are correctly
engaged before use.
Using the bassinet on the stroller
To dock the bassinet on the stroller, pull both release levers Ⓛ, align the bassinet hub Ⓡ with the
stroller SmartHub, and push the bassinet down on the stroller. To rotate the bassinet, grasp both
side handles, pull both release levers and rotate to the next locking position.
⚠ WARNING ⚠
Prevent falls when carrying:
◦ Use caution when lifting the bassinet. Use both side handles as the weight may be off-
center, causing the bassinet to tip down towards one end.
◦ When using the soft carrier handle, secure the tab through the red D-ring before lifting in
order to prevent tipping.
Using the soft carrier handle
To use the soft carrier handle Ⓙ, lift it into position.
Lock the soft carrier handle in place by securing the tab through the red D-ring on the soft carrier
handle grip Ⓞ.
Check to ensure the soft carrier handle is locked in place by moving the soft carrier handle grip.
To carry the bassinet, position the soft carrier handle grip in the crook of your arm to keep the
infant’s weight close to your body.

⚠ WARNING ⚠
CRUSHING HAZARD:
◦ Do not put objects on the top of the sunshade. The weight of the objects may cause the
sunshade to collapse.
Using the Sunshade and Paparazzi Shield
To deploy the sunshade Ⓐ, pull it up into the desired position. Pull the Paparazzi Shield Ⓝ out of
the sunshade.
Secure the Paparazzi Shield elastic over the foot end of the bassinet.
⚠ WARNING ⚠
◦ Always use the anti-rock arms to prevent rocking when the infant is sleeping in the bassinet,
when not in attendance or not actively rocking the infant in the bassinet.
Using the rocker anti-rock arms
To temporarily prevent the rocker from rocking, lift up on the anti-rock arm Ⓘ.
Rotate the anti-rock arm Ⓘ until it locks into place; to prevent rocking, lock both arms on one
rocker tube Ⓗ.

Traveling and Storing
Collapsing the bassinet
Pull back the upholstery Ⓕ on the foot end of the bassinet.
Pull on the webbing loop Ⓠ to move the black metal bar Ⓟ out from under the plastic clips
towards the center of the bassinet. Pull back the upholstery on the other end of the bassinet and
pull the black metal bar out from under the plastic clips. To collapse, push down on the bassinet
frame and fold the sunshade Ⓐ flat.
Orbit Baby recommends always using the Orbit Baby Stroller Travel Bag (not included) when
traveling in order to protect your bassinet.
Collapsing the rocker
When the rocker is not in use, it must be collapsed and put away. To take apart the rocker, press
down on the rocker snap buttons as you remove the rocker tubes Ⓗ from the rocker Smart Hub
Ⓖ. Each tube has two snap buttons, one on each side of the SmartHub.
Cleaning
Avoid excessive exposure to sun or heat, which may cause fading or warping. Keep the SmartHub
free of abrasive grime and moisture. If wet, use a soft cloth to dry. All hard goods (plastic and metal)
may be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Never use bleach or detergents. Do not submerge or use
running water on any metal or plastic parts of the bassinet.

◦ To prevent entrapment and falls, upholstery must be properly attached.

Removing your bassinet mattress and upholstery (images above)
Feed the restraint strap Ⓓ through the slots in the mattress pad Ⓚ and remove the mattress pad.
Pull back the upholstery Ⓕ from the bassinet frame separating it all the way around the bassinet.
Pass the restraint strap Ⓓ through the slots in the upholstery.
Remove the sunshade Ⓐ by unzipping it from the sunshade spar.
Replace the upholstery after washing and drying by reversing the steps above.
Cleaning Instructions: The sunshade Ⓐ, restraint strap Ⓓ and outer fabric Ⓜ can be spot cleaned
with a clean, wet cloth. The bassinet mattress pad Ⓚ and upholstery Ⓕ can be machine-washed
in cold water on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Washing inside a pillow case and in a front-
loading washer is recommended. Line dry. Replace the mattress pad, upholstery and sunshade once
cleaned and completely dried. Do not use the bassinet without them.
