1. INTRODUCTION
Thefollowinginstructioncontainsthenecessary informationfor
construction ,organizationand fiscalopportunities oftheelectroniccashregister
with fiscal memory ELKA MICRO 04. Instructionsfor correct exploitationand
storage ofthecash register havebeen given.
ELKA MICRO 04 isconstructedwithamemory capacity of 128kB andit
has thefollowingopportunities:
- 2000 assortments;
-9department/2 couldbechosendirectly fromthekeyboard, 1 by
default, 6 notchosenfrom thekeyboard, programmablefor repartitionof
assortments/.
- 2 operators with passwords.
Thecashregisteris extremely suitablefor work in the sphereof delivery
trade and deliveriestohomes, openmarkets, medical services.
ELKA MICRO04 is aprogrammablecashregister ,through whichan
opportunity is giventothecustomerto choosethe optimal regime ofwork
regarding theorganization of the trade subject.
2. CONSTRUCTION OF THE CASH REGISTER
Thedesign oftheapparatus isconformableto theergonomic
requirementsof this type.

Weight: 0,5 kg
2.1. INDICATION
Theelectroniccashregisterwith fiscal memory has10 digit LCD
indication.
2.2 KEYBOARD
Thekeyboard includes11 digital and 13 functional keys withthe shown
designationsand location.
Whenworkingwiththecashregisterafter every properly perceivedkeya
short soundsignal isheard and whenthereisimpropermanipulationwith the
keyboard - there isacontinuoussoundsignal.

Thedigit blockservesfor enteringnumbers information.Key“00” enters
two zerossimultaneously,whichquickensthework with wholenumbers. Itis not
allowed the firstentereddigit to be 0or 00. The cashregisters gives opportunity
for work with variable decimalpoint position. Its placeissetby programming
Parameter 14. Regardingits valueisset theshiningof thedecimal point in
regime REGISTRATION. I n regimes PROGRAMMING, REPORTS WITH
CLEARING AND REPORTS WITHOUT CLEARING thedecimal point is
always at thefirstplaceasit intheseregimesit is only workedwith whole
numbers. Anexclusion is madewhenindicatingof some constants,whichare
fractionnumbers.
With key “.“ it isallowedtowork in regime REGISTRATION when
entering afractionquantity with key X” andwhenentering of percentage
deductions/additionswith keys -%”,”+%” .

2.4. BLOCK MEMORY
In theblock MEMORY are stored thevaluesof theprogrammed
parameters,thecurrent informationwhenworkingwith thecashregister.
After switchingoffthecashregister memory issuppliedby abuild-in
accumulator, located on logic plate. Astorageoftheinformationfor morethan
1500 hoursafter switching off the cashregister is guarantied.
2.5. FISCAL MEMORY
Thefiscal memory is energyindependent, constructively separate and
sealedblockinthecaseof thecashregister. In every daily financial report with
clearinginthe fiscal memory aBLOCK DATAis written,containingthenecessary
informationfor realizationtheturn-oversby every taxationgroup with
accumulation. Thisinformation could beprintedinregime REPORTS OF
FISCAL MEMORY” .Thecapacity of fiscalmemory provideswork of thecash
register for aperiod of 6years/1850 records/. Theinformationrecorded in the
fiscal memory could not bechanged.Arecord of datais accomplished after
setting theelectronic cash register with fiscal memory into exploitation. The cash
register shouldbe setintoexploitation afterstartingactivity of thetrade
project.Afterfiscalization of the cash register with fiscal memory every attempt to
workwithout fiscal memory isblocked and a message P2 ” is shownon the
indication.
3. PREPARATION FOR WORK OF THE CASH REGISTER
Beforesettingthecashregisterwith fiscal memory intoexploitationa
control check-out ismadefor eventual mechanicdamages.
In case that thecashregister hasbeentransportedin conditionsof lowor
hightemperature whenswitchingon, it should becompulsory left toget
acclimatized for 4 hours in thepackage and 1 hour ou t of it.
Theplaceforinstallationof thecashregistershould notbe exposedto
direct impact of heat sources.
Themounting of thecashregister should be accomplishedat aheight,
conformable to therequirements for convenient work at apropercorner on
observation of the indicationsby the operator and thecustomers.
Therooms inwhichthecashregisterwill beused should be with normal

*vibrationsof floor with anamplitudenotbiggerthan0,15mm at therange
of from 5 to 35 Hz.
Thecashregister hasabuilt-in accumulator6V/1,3Ah,throughwhichnot
less than 20000 lines with onechargingcould beprinted. Recoverofthecapacity
of theaccumulatorbattery could be accomplishedthrough 16 hourcharging by
connectto powersupply adaptor. Theadaptor should provide6-9V AC or9-12V
DC voltage and current 200mA.
THE ACCUMULATOR BATTERY IS CONSUMATIVE AND IT IS
NOT A SUBJECT OF GUARNATY.
Beforstartingwork with thecashregistertheoperatorisresponsible to
check theavailability of thermopaper and ifthereisnot suchtoput atape.
The switch on and switch off of the cash register is done by a
button, located on the right side of the apparatus.
When switching the cash register it isindicated“-----” whichmeansthat a
password for choosing a regimeor an operator isrequired.
If more than6min thecash registerhasn’t beenworkingit switchesoff
itself. In regime REGISTRATION at not closed payment and at regime
PROGRAMMING the cash register does not swicht off itself. After
switching offduring followingjob it isnecessary again to press thebutton and to
enter apassword forenteringat thedesired regimeofwork.Ifthe cashregister
hasbeenswitchedoffat regime REGISTRATION aftersecondswitchingon it is
allowed thattheoperator could work without requiringto enter apassword for this
regime.
3.1. INSTALLATION OF THE THERMOPAPER TAPE
Remove theprint cover. Instalthethermopaper tape onthe axle,provided
for it.Putthepaperat thelowerslot of print cover /underthe shaft/.Unfastenthe
pinandby this fix paper.Thenpresskey ”PF” till showing 50mm of thepaper from
printingarea.
Takingoutthepapertapefromtheprintercouldbe accomplished by
pulling out therest of thepaper pressingkey “PF” at the same time.

Theproduceris notresponsiblefordamagesof printeror thecash

4. REGIMES OF WORK
Theregimesofworkcould bechosenby entering apassword relevant
regime/to six digits/. Passwordsby default areas follows:
1,2 - regime REGISTRATION
3 - regime READING WITHOUT CLEARING
4 - regime READING WITH CLEARING
5 - regime PROGRAMMING
6 - regime SERVICE
The consequenceof entering is as follows:
Consecutively presskeys “F”, thenimber of password from thedigit block
and “F”.
4.1. CONTROL TESTS
Regime CONTROL TESTS ischosenbyentering thepassword for
service regime. Thepassword by default is6, andtheconsequence of entering is
asfollows:
Press consecutively keys F”,”6”,”F”.
Thecashregisterwith fiscal memory is checked by testing programs
,controlling thegoodworkingorder oftheseparate knots.
Startingtests 1, 4, 5, 6 could bedone by digit keys from 1”, ”4”, ”5”,
”6” for therelevant test andby pressing key VD”.
The purposeof test programsis thefollowing:

4.2.Regime PROGRAMMING
Regime PROGRAMMING” ischosen by entering apasswordfor this
regime.Thepassword by default is5, andtheconsequenceof entering is the
ollowing:

4.2.1.GENERAL PRINCIPLES
Programming the cashregisterincludes settingfunctions, constantsand
letter text, classifiedin parameters. Every parameter ischosenby acertain
number.
The cash register isdeliveredwithasample program.
Choosingaparameteris accomplishedby enteringitsnumberfrom the
digit keyboard and pressingkey X”.
Ontheleft part of the indicationis shown amessage Pxx”, andon the
right - the value of theparameter, where xx” isthenumber of the parameter .
Tosavethe new programmed valuespresskey STL”.
Toexit thechosen parameter use thefollowing ways:
-by choosinganew parameter ;
-bypressingkey TL”. Informationfor thecorrespondingparameteris
printed.

Forparameters 30 and 31 it isnecessary topresskey TL” for the
secondtime.
It isnot compulsory tochoose parameters consecutively.
Programming all theparameters is not compulsory.
As certain parametercould be chosenonly for areference or check-out.,
withoutchanging itsvalue or itsmeaning (Key STL” isnot usedin operation
consequences).
Regardingtheconsequenceof operating,parametersaredivided
conditionally in threerigimes of work.
First REGIME – it coversparameterswith numbers from 2, 3, 7, 11,
12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20 and 21.
Second REGIME – it coversparameterswithnumbers from 19, 22, 23,
24, 27, 28, 29 and 37.
Third REGIME - it covers parameters with numbers 30 and 31.These
parametersinclude number L /number of department or assortment/ and every
L includesseveral characteristics M.
Forth REGIME – covers parameter 33.
Whenprogramming(setting anewvalue)of parameters 2, 14, 22, 28
and 30 thefollowing registers should becleared:
- cash and department (key TL”);
- assortments (key PLU”);
- operators(key +%”):
Forparameters 30 and 31 it is not necessary to report thecash register
with thefiscalmemory, if beforeprogrammingof the concrete department or
assortment noaccumulationhasbeedone in it.
4.2.2 REACTION AT WRONG PROGRAMMING OF PARAMETER
During theprocessofprogramming,theusageofakey different from the
participatingonesintheprogramming of thechosenparameter,is WRONG
OPERATION, accompanied by a long sound signal.
Correctionof wrongentered value ofparameter isaccomplishedby oneof
thefollowing ways:
*if theoperation is not closed yetwith key TL” is enteredthe new value
and then press key STL”;

* If theoperationhasbeenclosed withkey TL” ischosen again the
numberof parameter andrepeattheconsequenceof operatingwithcorrect

4.2.3. FIRST REGIME OF PROGRAMMING
First regimeofprogrammingcoversparameterswithnumbers from 2, 3,
7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20 and 21.Themeaningof these
parametersisshown in Таble 2.

2, 20 and 21.

When programming ZERO value for aparameter or apart of a
parameterusingkeys "0" или "00" is PROHIBITED.For thiscaseit is
