The 4 Ports PCI Express Cards are designed for POS, ATM and KIOSK
appli c a tions. Each card supports 5 0 ~ 921600 baudrate and isolation
protect i o n. The PCa r d -E1041L-S I - D4, PCard-E 2 041L-SI-D 4 , P Card-
E3041L-SI-D4 PCard-are for 6KV surge protect models. In addition, the
E 041L-SI-D4 PCard-E 041L-I-D4 seriesx xand provide full modem control
signals to ensure compatibility with a wide range of serial peripherals.
Preparation
Before you begin installing the switch, make sure you have all of the package
contents available and a PC with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, for
using web-based system management tools.
Elevated Operating Ambient: If in sta lle d in a cl ose d or mu lti-unit rack
assembly, the o per ati ng am bie nt te mperature of the rack environment may be
greater than room ambient. The refore, consideration should be given to
installing the equipment in an envir onm ent c omp ati ble w ith t he ma xim um
ambient temperature (Tma) specified by the m anu fac tur er.
Reduced Air F low : Inst all ati on of t he eq uip men t in a ra ck sh ould be such
that the amount of air flow required for safe operation of the equip men t is
not compromised.
Mechanical Loading: Mounting of the equipment in the rack should be
such that a hazardous condition is not achieved due to une ven m ech ani cal
loading.
Circuit Overloading: Consideration should b e giv en to t he co nne cti on of t he
equipment to the supply circuit and the effect that overloading of the circuits
might have on overcurrent protection and sup ply w iri ng. Ap pro pri ate
consideration of equipment nameplat e rat ing s sho uld b e use d when a ddr ess ing
this concern.
