Ositech Titan II Gateway
Getting Started Guide
1. Be ore starting, please contact your LIFENET
®
System
implementation specialist. I you have not already been in contact,
they can be reached through Physio-Control Technical Support at
[phone]. For locations outside North America, please contact
your local Physio-Control LIFENET System team.
2. Care ully, unpack the contents o the
box containing the Titan II Gateway.
Examine the contents, and i there
are any damaged parts, contact
Technical Support or more
assistance. Ensure all components
are accounted or. This includes the
Titan II Gateway itsel (and its
connection cable), USB Cable, Titan
II Gateway Installation CDROM, Getting Started Guide, and the Titan
II Gateway - LIFEPAK Placement Guide.
3. Insert the supplied installation CDROM into your CDROM drive. The
Fastmenu will appear; however i it does not appear, double click on
the CD icon itsel , and it will then launch.
4. Click the “View Titan II Gateway Documentation” button, and then
rom the User Documentation sub menu, click the “View Titan II
Gateway User Manual” button to open the User Manual.
IMPORTANT: Wireless AUDIO Gateway Users should re er to the
Communication Requirements For Audio Operation Appendix o the
User Manual to ensure that your communication environment meets
the minimum requirements or audio operation.
5. Please re er to Chapter 3 and ollow the steps outlined to install the
con iguration so tware and the Titan II device driver. Please re er to
Chapter 4, and ollow the steps to con igure the Titan II Gateway or
operation with your LIFEPAK monitor.

Ositech Limited Warranty
HARDWARE
OSITECH COMMUNCIATIONS INC. warrants each new Ositech Product sold
by Ositech to be ree rom de ective material and workmanship. OSITECH
agrees to remedy in accordance with terms speci ied below, any such
de ect which is disclosed under conditions o normal installation, use and
service. To exercise this warranty the purchaser must deliver the unit
intact or examination, with all transportation charges prepaid to a
servicing site designated by OSITECH.
This warranty does not apply i the Product has been modi ied or subjected
to misuse, neglect, or accident; or i the Product has been repaired or
altered by an unauthorized service depot so that its per ormance or
reliability has been impaired; or i the Product has had the serial number
altered, e aced or removed; or i it has been damaged by accessories,
peripherals, and other attachments not approved by OSITECH.
The speci ic terms o the warranty are as ollows:
1. The warranty period commences on the date the purchased unit is shipped
to the purchaser by OSITECH or an Authorized Reseller o OSITECH or by a
transportation common carrier acting on OSITECH’s behal .
2. This warranty agreement only applies to the original purchaser. However
when an Authorized Reseller o OSITECH resells the Products, pursuant to
its rights hereunder, the said warranty shall apply to any person or
corporation which purchases such Products rom the Reseller.
3. For Products containing active electronics the warranty period is one (1)
year. During this warranty period OSITECH will be responsible or both
material and labour required to a ect all repairs under terms o this
warranty agreement, provided the unit is returned to OSITECH as speci ied
above.
4. For Products not containing active electronics the warranty period is ninety
(90) days. During this warranty period OSITECH will be responsible or both
material and labour required to a ect all repairs under terms o this
warranty agreement, provided the unit is returned to OSITECH as speci ied
above.
This warranty is in lieu o all other warranties, expressed or implied and no
representative or person is authorized to assume or OSITECH any other
liability in connection with the sale o equipment.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OSITECH BE LIABLE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT OR IN
TORT OR ON ANY OTHER BASIS, FOR ANY DAMAGES SUSTAINED BY THE
PURCHASER OR ANY OTHER PERSON ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO
LOSS OF USE, FAILURE OR INTERRUPTION IN OPERATION OF ANY OSITECH
PRODUCTS, OR DELAY IN MAINTENANCE OR FOR INCIDENTAL,
CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT OR SPECIAL DAMAGES OR LIABILITIES, OR
FOR LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR OTHER FINANCIAL LOSS
ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE, LEASE
MAINTENANCE, USE, PERFORMANCE, FAILURE OR INTERRUPTION OF THE
PRODUCTS.
Purchaser assumes all risk o loss, damage or injury alleged to arise rom
the ailure or aulty per ormance o an Ositech product in any unauthorized
application. Purchaser agrees to indemni y and hold harmless Ositech, and
its o icers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, and sales
partners, rom and against any and all claims, costs, damages, losses and
expenses (including reasonable attorney ees) which arise rom or are
alleged to have been caused by any claim or personal injury or death
connected with Purchaser’s use o an Ositech product in any unauthorized
application, including claims which allege that Ositech has been negligent
in connection with the design or manu acture o the product.
Except as expressly set orth in this warranty, OSITECH makes no other
warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranties o
merchantability and itness or a particular purpose. OSITECH expressly
disclaims all warranties not stated in this limited warranty. Any implied
warranties that may be imposed by law are limited to the terms o this
express limited warranty.
Any legal action arising rom the purchase or use o Ositech Product shall
be commenced within one year rom the accrual o the cause o action, or
barred orever. In no event shall Ositech liability under this warranty or
otherwise exceed the greater o $1,000 or the purchase price o the
product giving rise to the cause o action.
This agreement will be governed by the laws o the Province o Ontario,
Canada.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT,
UNDERSTAND IT, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ITS TERMS AND
CONDITIONS; YOU FURTHER AGREE THAT IT IS THE COMPLETE AND
EXCLUSIVE STATEMENT OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN US WHICH
SUPERSEDES ANY PROPOSAL OR PRIOR AGREEMENT, ORAL OR WRITTEN,
AND ANY OTHER COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN US RELATING TO THE
SUBJECT MATTER OF THIS AGREEMENT.
