Setup Guide
for Fire Tablets
Osmo Setup Guide for Fire Tablets

1. Make sure you have a compatible Fire Tablet
2. Make sure you have an Osmo Base for Fire
3. Make sure you have an Amazon app store account created
4. Make sure you have an Internet connection
5. Place your device on the Osmo base and center the relector
over the camera
6. If you received a redemption code, you can redeem it on
playosmo.com/redeem
7. Check your current proile on your Fire Tablet
8. Switch from Freetime (child proile) to a parent proile
9. Download your games from a parent proile
10. Send games from your parent proile to Freetime
(child proile)
11. Switch to Freetime (kid proile) to install and play your
games!
12. Create a myOsmo account and add a proile for each player
13. Adequate lighting in the room
14. Download the parent app to your phone in order to keep
track of player progress in games

Make sure you have a compatible Fire Tablet

Open SETTINGS > DEVICE OPTIONS
STEP 1
Osmo is compatible with the following
Fire Tablets:
• 7th Generation Fire 7
• 7th Generation Fire HD 8
• 7th Generation Fire HD 10
• 8th Generation Fire HD 8
• 9th Generation Fire 7
• 9th Generation Fire HD 10
• 10th Generation Fire HD 8
(additional relector adapter needed)*
*The following games are currently not compatible
with new Fire HD8 launched May 2020 (10th
Generation Fire HD 8): Math Wizard Games (Secrets
of the Dragons and Magical Workshop), Super
Studio Games (Disney Mickey Mouse & Friends and
Disney•Pixar Incredibles 2), Lettertopia, Math Buzz,
Detective Agency, Pizza Co., Monster, MindRacers.

Make sure you have an Amazon app store account created
Follow the steps listed on this webpage to create your Amazon app store
account.
STEP 3
Make sure you have an Internet connection
An internet connection is needed to:
• download the apps onto the Fire tablet
• create a myOsmo account
• sync game progress in myOsmo
• download Words albums
• use search feature in Masterpiece game

If you received a redemption code, you can redeem it on
playosmo.com/redeem
Check your current proile on your Fire Tablet

1. On your computer or smartphone, go to playosmo.com/redeem
and enter your code.
2. Enter your email to login or create a new account.
3. Follow the instructions provided to complete your setup.
To download your games, you must be on a parent proile—games cannot
be downloaded on Amazon Freetime (child proile).

If you are on Freetime (child
proile) continue to step 8.
If you are on a parent proile,
continue to step 9.

Switch from Freetime (child proile) to a parent proileSTEP 8
To switch proiles, start by swiping down from the top of the screen to
reveal the top menu. Then swipe down/tap on the small arrow icon on the
top right to expand the menu.
Click on the proile icon on the top of the menu, and then select your par-
ent proile (if your proile is password protected, you will need to enter it
after selecting the proile).

Download your games from a parent proileSTEP 9
On the home screen, select the Appstore icon to ind your games.
In the search bar on the top of the screen, search for your games. When
you ind your game, tap the GET button to download it. Repeat this
process for all of your games:

Send games from your parent proile to Freetime
(child proile)
STEP 10
To access settings, ind and tap on the
Settings menu (gear icon).
In the settings menu, go to Proiles & Family Library > Your Child’s Proile
> Add Content.
Next, select the Games & Apps tab, and then select the games you’ve
downloaded. Press the Done button when you are inished.

STEP 11 Switch to Freetime (kid proile) to install and play your
games!
To change proiles, start by swiping down from the top of the screen to
reveal the top menu. Then swipe down / tap on the small arrow to expand
the menu.
Select the proile icon on the top right to view all proiles. Tap on your
child’s proile icon to change to that proile.

STEP 11 (Cont’d) When in your child’s proile, tap on the games you’ve added in the Added
For You section to install them. After they inish installing, they are ready
to play!

Create a myOsmo account and add a proile for each player
With a myOsmo account, the child’s game progress will be saved in case
the app gets deleted or the player switches devices.
To create a myOsmo account:
1. Open an Osmo game.
2. Tap “myOsmo” in the top right corner
3. Tap “Create Free Account”
4. Follow the prompts to create your myOsmo account.
STEP 12
Adequate lighting in the room
Avoid spotlights on the game pieces, ensure that light isn’t coming from
behind (creates shadows).
STEP 13
Download the parent app to your phone in order to keep
track of player progress in games
