Congratulaons on your purchase of the Acadia 42 in. Fire Pit Kit. Before you begin, please refer to the parts list to ensure
all materials needed for assembly have been received. Also, review the Warning Statement and Operang Instrucons
prior to starng installaon.

Read each step thoroughly prior to installing:
Step 1
 Choose a clear, at area - 42" x 42" -
free of overhanging branches and
other ammable material.
Step 2
 To form the rst row, lay each
segment down to complete a circle.
Blocks should be ght and level.
Step 3
 Place the second layer on top of the
rst, making sure to alternate the
paern. The seam of the blocks
below should be in the center of the
block above.
Step 4
 Repeat the third step, placing the
third layer on top of the second,
making sure to alternate the paern.
Step 5
 Place (Item B) the Fire Pit Bowl on
top of the third row so it is evenly
spaced and at on the surface.
Step 6
 Place (Item E) Grate in the boom of
(Item B) Fire Pit Bowl, then set (Item
C) Ember Screen on rim of (Item B)
Fire Pit Bowl.

 Read the installaon, operaon and use and care instrucons thoroughly before installing or
servicing this equipment.
 This appliance is for outdoor use only, and shall NOT be used in a building, garage, or any other enclosed area.
 Do NOT use this outdoor re pit for indoor heang. TOXIC carbon monoxide fumes can accumulate and cause
asphyxiaon.
 This outdoor re pit is NOT for commercial use.
 This outdoor re pit is NOT to be operated by children.
 This outdoor re pit is NOT to be used in or on boats or recreaonal vehicles.
 Always use in accordance with all applicable local, state and naonal codes. Contact your local re department for
details on outdoor burning.
 When using this outdoor re pit, exercise the same precauons you would with any open re.
 The use of alcohol, prescripon or non-prescripon drugs may impair the consumer’s ability to properly assemble
or safely operate this outdoor re pit.
 Do NOT use this outdoor re pit without reading the enre “Installaon”, “Warning Statements”, “Operang and
Use and Care” instrucons.
 This outdoor re pit is for use with dry, seasoned hardwood. It will burn hoer, more completely, and create less
smoke.
 Do NOT burn charcoal briquets, lump charcoal, manufactured logs, driwood, trash, leaves, paper, cardboard,
plywood, painted or stained or pressure treated wood. Avoid using sowoods such as pine or cedar that can throw
embers.
 Do NOT alter this outdoor re pit in any manner.
 Do NOT use this outdoor re pit unl it is COMPLETELY assembled.
 Do NOT store or use gasoline or other ammable vapors or liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.
 Do NOT store or use an LP gas cylinder within 15 feet (4.6 m) of this outdoor re pit while it is in operaon.
 Do NOT use this outdoor re pit near automobiles, trucks, vans or recreaonal vehicles.
 Do NOT use in an explosive atmosphere. Keep outdoor re pit area clear and free from combusble materials,
gasoline and other ammable liquids.
 Do NOT use this outdoor re pit under any overhead or near any unprotected combusble construcons. Avoid
using near or under overhanging trees and shrubs.
 Always use this outdoor re pit on a hard, level non-combusble surface such a concrete, rock or stone. An asphalt
or blacktop surface may not be acceptable for this purpose. Do NOT use on wooden decks.
 Always empty this outdoor re pit before each use. Leave a thin layer of ash to protect the boom.
 Do NOT wear ammable or loose clothing when operang this outdoor re pit.
 Do NOT use in windy condions.
 Do NOT use this outdoor re pit unless ember guard is securely in place.

 Do NOT use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, lighter uid or alcohol to light or relight res.
 Keep all electrical cords away from a hot re pit.
 All surfaces of this outdoor re pit are hot when in operaon. To avoid burns, do NOT touch re pit unl it has
completely cooled unless you are wearing protecve gear (Potholders, gloves, BBQ miens, hot pads & etc.).
Never touch ashes or coals to see if they are hot.
 Do NOT leave a lit outdoor re pit unaended, especially around children and pets.
 Do NOT aempt to move or store this outdoor re pit unl all ashes and coals are completely exnguished.
 Do NOT remove ashes or coals unl they are completely and fully exnguished.
 Use heat-resistant gloves or hot pads when contacng handles.
 Use long, sturdy re pit tools when adding or moving logs.
 Do NOT place wood directly into boom of the outdoor re pit. Place wood only on the wood grate.
 Do NOT overload the re pit. Do not add addional rewood unl the re burns down. NOTICE: If any poron of
the bowl, lid or ember guard of this outdoor re pit are glowing red it is overloaded.
 Do NOT lean over this outdoor re pit when lighng or when in use.
 Do NOT place a hot ember guard or hot re pit tools onto combusble surfaces such as grass, wooden deck or
furniture.
 Avoid breathing smoke from the re and avoid geng it into your eyes.
 This outdoor re pit should be thoroughly inspected and cleaned on a regular basis.
 Aer a period of storage and/or non-use, check for signs of damage and creosote build-up. Do NOT operate unl
necessary repairs and/or cleanup are executed.

The following Operang and Use and Care instrucons must be reviewed and followed to avoid injury or property
damage. Save these instrucons for future reference. If you are installing and assembling this unit for someone else,
give these instrucons to them to read and save for future reference.

Before using this outdoor re pit, make sure you have read, understand, and are following
all informaon provided in the important safeguards and warning statements on page 2 &
3. Failure to follow those instrucons can cause death, serious injury or property damage.
Lighng
 Make sure there is only a small amount of ash in the
boom of the bowl.
 Place a layer of dry kindling or natural re starter onto
the center of the grate.
 Place above that layer dry seasoned hardwood that is
cut to lengths no more than 3/4 the diameter of the
bowl.
 Use a match to light kindling or re starter.
 Replace ember screen by using the re poker tool.
Tending the Fire
You may need to shi and/or add logs for an ideal
experience.
Reminders:
 Always wear protecve gloves or a potholder when
tending to the re.
 Wait unl glowing coals have developed before adding
any addional wood.
 Do NOT add gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, lighter
uid or alcohol to relight or enhance an exisng re.
1. Carefully remove ember screen by using re poker
tool.
2. While using re poker tool, shi coals and logs to
allow addional airow.
3. If addional wood is required, place wood on top of
coals. Be careful, not to disturb ashes.
4. Replace ember screen by using re poker tool.
Exnguishing
 Allow re to burn itself out.
 Do NOT use water to exnguish as it is dangerous and
can cause damage to this outdoor re pit or yourself.
Care and Inspecng
This outdoor re pit should be inspected on a regular basis to ensure
product safety and longer product life.
 Do NOT aempt to inspect this re pit unl the re is
completely out.
 Check handles to make sure they are secure.
 Check components for any signs of damage or rust.
 If damage to any components is detected, do NOT operate unl
repairs are executed.
Cleaning
This outdoor re pit should be cleaned on a regular basis to promote
safer experiences and longer product life. Note: Aer repeat use, a
slight discoloraon of the nish may occur.
 Do NOT aempt to clean this outdoor re pit unl the re is
completely out.
 Do NOT use oven cleaner or abrasive cleaners as they will
damage this product.
 Do NOT clean any part of this outdoor re pit in a self cleaning
oven as it will damage the nish.
 Wipe exterior surfaces with a mild dish soap or baking soda.
 For stubborn stains use a citrus based degreaser and a nylon
scrubbing brush.
 Rinse clean with water.
 Remove built-up creosote from components with a chimney
cleaning product.
Storage
 Do NOT move or store this outdoor re pit unl the re is
completely out.
 Once the re is out, coals are cold and outdoor re pit is cool to
the touch, remove ashes and properly dispose.
 Store assembled in a locaon away from children and pets.
